There was no reason for Alonso to go off track at start, and he gained 2 positions by doing so. Grosjean maybe shouldn't have gone off either but he didn't gain an advantage as he dropped back slightly. Alonso on the other hand just blatantly cut the corner and gained 2 positions and no one bats an eye here...
3:06 why did grosjean cut the corner that massively??? Leclerc left him the space and both was on track if that was gravel he wouldn't have done that naughty move
Carlitox b Funny how none of you tards are crying for penalties for what Alonso did. He lost positions to turn 1 and gained them back by cutting the corner. You can see 2 cars going past him in the breaking zone and after he cuts the corner he is suddenly behind the Toro Rosso again. Karma for him in the next corners. He deserves the worst. :)
i can't understand why people found this gp boring. Compare to Australia, Spain, Monaco or even Canada and you will see that this gp was actually a good gp( sorry for my english)
Your English is great! As a native English speaker I say you didn't really break any grammar rules, perhaps the only thing you could've done to make it better was avoid repetition by saying "this gp was actually a good one" rather than saying "this gp was actually a good gp," but that's just a suggestion rather than a rule to minimise repetition But yes, I find it utterly baffling how anyone could possibly think that Grand Prix was boring. It has action, overtakes, a mix of tyre strategies and the suspense of rain on the horizon that never came. Maybe the people who thought it was boring think the only thing worth watching was the very front of the grid where Hamilton won, but ignored all the action behind him
Quite insightful. So I learned now 1. that people cut corners left and right in that first lap. 2. that Vettel didn't really cause Alonso to spin; Alonso had already lost his rear before there was any contact made. 3. the reason for Romain's penalty. 4. that Vettel got that nose damage not on contact with Bottas.
I think the same, but last weekend Alonso wasn't the real Alonso... there is something wrong because dispite this bad weekend for him he wasn't that mad. It looks like he doesn't care anymore or he knows that something is going to change like moving to another car sport or team... lets see what will happen.
I'd really like to see him in Red Bull next season if Ricardo decides to move elsewhere, then he could really fight! He's a top driver but McLaren has been a big disappointment this year unfortunately.
@Kan Oh rite, I didn't know that, pity! Maybe Mclaren will make some gr8 improvements for next yr with a bit of luck. I think Alonso still has more to offer for F1 tbh.
Nah, he is a typical Spaniard. Just like in football they fall to the ground when someone comes near them and then they blame the person near them. Here we see Alonso spinning his car when Vettel overtakes and then he blames Vettel... He fucked up himself, Royally... What a joke :D
Well until recently the track's official name was Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track. The massive run-off areas and all the possible track configurations were very much intended for testing purposes. I guess that something can be done about it now that it is an F1 venue.
Unfortunately, Paul Ricard has fallen victim to the "sterilization" of what is currently F1. The track has a mega huge problem....traffic infrastructure. It so bad that people turned away for being stuck in traffic for hours by the tens if thousands for FP's, Quali, and Raceday. It's been that way 40yrs ago and still exists today...pathetic. Fortunately, Charlie W. is looking into getting rid of the chicane down the Mistral straight for next yr. If the local municipality does not pump money into new infrastructure, this track will not be in the F1 calender for long.
joe r gonzales I don't think they can remove the chicane in the back straight. There isn't really a braking zone going into turn 10 and they need a braking zone at the end of a DRS zone to flip the wing back down.
Flintstoned - drivers want it removed and Charlie is considering it. There are articles about this topic already out. Personally, I hate chicanes. They should have never added them at Monza nor at LeMans ( 2 of them down the Mulsanne back in '91).
I think run-off areas are good for those drivers. They avoided the crashes. Also, French GP with the large run-off areas still has more crashes than I expected.
I know there are haters but I am a fan of the French circuit. The large run-off areas allow drivers to take risks, which allows for more interesting battles. Also, the long straight before the chicane allows for overtaking even with the current state of the aerodynamics.
I really wish the best for alonso. I dont want him to end his career like this. Atleast give him a seat in renault. Renault has been very consistent throughout this season. If ricciardo took merc or ferrari seat, sainz move up to Redbull, and Alonso can get back in his two time winning team
I wish Checo Pérez can obtain the second Red Prancing Horse seat but Charles Leclerc looks like he will be the next shooting star or will become an F1 Legend in the Future
After now seeing the first corner incident from Bottas view, he took a pretty tight line knowing Vettel was there.... He had heaps of room to hang on the outside to not take the risk...
Nikita Dubrovskih - Clearly, they complained because of some drivers forgot where to turn at Free Practices. Also, some drivers wanted that chicane to be removed too. And don't forget Spanish GP, Monaco GP, and Canadian GP were lack of overtaking.
The only things that asphalt runoffs need in order to be better than gravel on every point is a proper penalty system. Things like mandatory return routes would make run offs actual runoffs and not additional asphalt.
Flintstoned Grosjean has the decency and fair play mentality to not cut corners to overtake. Unlike Alonso in this race, who lost 2 positions to turn 1 and gained them back by going off track. There was absolutely no incident for him to avoid, as Bottas was well off track by then. Alonso actually drove closer to the incident by cutting the corner. What a fucking joke he is...
The youtuber that used to do this did a much better job. He focused on racing rather than incidents. Also, it seems F1 cant publish anything longer than 5 minutes.
F1 2018 Video Game Driver Challenges: Default 1 Of 10: "So Close!" From this what I understood was people should watch races from onboard cameras mixed with driver reactions, their handwork, real engine sounds, tire sounds, etc. The races are not so "boring" like this. Every onboard camera tells a different "race story". There are sooooo many things happening though they are shown like simple things by the TV cameras mixed with the stupid over hyped commentary.
Looking Stroll's incident again I realize that if it had hapened on other race track it would be pretty dangeours. I meam a tire blast on a fast car right on a curve. Luckly french circuit has a lot of space...
+AseerX1 BULLSHIT! The entire F1 community voted for him. If there's really that many Ferrari fans then he would've gotten DOTD in Australia and Bahrein (he deserved that!) as well
They really have to put some walls around the track! All those drivers cutting corners like its nothing special, they don't even got a penalty like Grosjean for no reason cutting the corner while Leclerc gave enough space. He did it just to win some time and get back closer to Leclerc so that's gaining advantage.
The thing is, Grosjean swerved left too fast for human reaction. There was no time for Ocon to avoid the collision. Grosjean plainly crashed into Ocon and damaged his own bargeboards.
wtf are you talking about. It's extremely clear to see in slow motion that they both steered in opposite directions at the same time, slightly, which caused the contact. How the hell Grosjean ''swerved left too fast for human reaction''... Dear fuck you haters.
Grosjean must have forgotten that Ocon was on his left. He went to the left when Leclerc moved left so that he might be able to lunge Leclerc, but was obviously surprised when he felt the contact. He didn't give Ocon any room.
Stephen Taylor - Strolls strategy was to go all the way on those sets of tyres. He flat spotted the left front so bad earlier that he complained of vibration in the car...then the inevitable....idiot.
LethalWalou - Stroll sucks, lets face it. Drivers to compare him to....Max and the up and coming LeClerc. He does not race, he just drives an F1 car. I dont hate, just the facts.
joe r gonzales Tell me again how you're not hating while blaming tire failure on him and calling him an idiot... Those are pure hate from you, you sad fucker. Learn to respect the drivers and enjoy the sport. People like you are just useless noise here ruining the community, please go away.
LethalWalou - tyre failure due to him flat spotting the tire and not nursing them. He's to blame, no one else. Again, Stroll sucks. F1 will spit him out soon....all his doing and not mine. All the money in the world cannot buy racecraft and talent. Look at LeClerc in that Alfa-Sauber C36...the rookie has 11pts already and is beating his teammate who only has 2pts so far...Stroll 4pts. whom is not a rookie anymore. Stroll drives an F1 car, he does not race. Don't know why you're upset or defending this F1 wannabe.
LethalWalou - incidently, you're the one using profane language and name calling. I have'nt said one word about you that was dis-respectful, demeaning or derogatory---> what "community" are you claiming to be from???
Alonso's onboard of the first lap was like a movie! 🤣🤣🤣🤣Cars crashing, debris everywhere, flying wheels🤣🤣🤣Only a screaming cat was missing
There was no need for Grosjean to go off track. Leclerc gave him perfect space. Such a gem
he didnt gain an advantage from it so its cool
Actually he did gain an advantage. By that move he was able to stay right behind him
There was no reason for Alonso to go off track at start, and he gained 2 positions by doing so. Grosjean maybe shouldn't have gone off either but he didn't gain an advantage as he dropped back slightly. Alonso on the other hand just blatantly cut the corner and gained 2 positions and no one bats an eye here...
LethalWalou Alonso lost more than two afterwards when he was avoiding ocon when 5 people cut the chicane
I guess it's karma x)
That Front Wing camera angle with Kimi around 4:00 is awesome!!!!
0:09 The wall: I think Ericsson hit us
But Alonso had no brakes no tyres he was out of the points. He had onboard camera at least.
And the best chassis in the grid. Also I am from 2017
LamboWalker now we can fight!
and a radio
Why does Ericson have to hit all these people?!?!
Honestly are we playing ping pong or racing
@Romain Grosjean WHA WAS THAT???
He managed to hit himself in fp1!
3:06 why did grosjean cut the corner that massively??? Leclerc left him the space and both was on track if that was gravel he wouldn't have done that naughty move
He did it to stay behind him. Most of the corner-cutting moves are overlooked if no overtakes are made.
it is still cheating he should be penalized
Carlitox b Funny how none of you tards are crying for penalties for what Alonso did. He lost positions to turn 1 and gained them back by cutting the corner. You can see 2 cars going past him in the breaking zone and after he cuts the corner he is suddenly behind the Toro Rosso again. Karma for him in the next corners. He deserves the worst. :)
LethalWalou yikes
LethalWalou You can cut corners if other drivers had a collision, and theres broken parts on the track. Thats why everyone is cutting the track.
That Ferrarri has some serious boost on the straights. Turbo whistle goes next level :p
3:00 Here after Spain GP 2019. Grosjean still making new turns to a f1 circuit. How creative from his part
Thanks for making a 5min+ video with Onboards!!! These really are the best!
The 3 French drivers made contact in lap 1.
Grosjean wouldn’t even be able to overtake the safety car
Umar Adam Cough... Canada 2018?
he would crash the safety car and blame Ericsson hahah
I think Stroll need to put ABS on.
hahahaha made my day lol
LMFAO he wishes he had ABS. Then he would only be 25 seconds behind the rest of the cars😆😆😆
Would be save driving
4:28 No power... I deserved that 6th place.
*chicken
Do we really have F1 drivers communicating via RUclips comments? Remarkable.
Keep pushing Carlos...
Mucky Vagrant wait a min... u thought it was the real carlos sainz? hahahahhahahahahha
There u go at the French g p say u have no power with a French motor. Lol o wow
Romain Grosjean it was Ericssons fault
watching Alonso get through that first lap was awesome
I love how Ericsson's race engineer is so emotionless about the crash and the fire xD
RaptoR Have you ever heard Vettel’s racing engineer. 10/10
All you gotta do is post more videos like this one, they are very appreciated!
Marcus Ericsson's engineer talking about his place in formula 1: 0:09
2:54 Leclerc in Ferrari already according to the red line
It's the color of the Alfa Romeo
@@rotanux No. Alfa Sauber has darker red. Like bourdeaux
@@rotanux They were still called Sauber in 2018
So proud to say that I was there. But so sad to loose at the first lap our 2 french good drivers...
1:18 I see the tyre tethers are working pretty decently.
Alonso had seen some chaos
Alonso best of the best onboards for sure.
i can't understand why people found this gp boring. Compare to Australia, Spain, Monaco or even Canada and you will see that this gp was actually a good gp( sorry for my english)
Agreed. Baku and Paul Ricard have been good races when we expected them to be boring. Hopefully Russia will be interesting this year.
I know! All these races have been very boring! France and Baku were awesome races when you compare them to Canada or Monaco! P.S. Your english is good
Your English is great! As a native English speaker I say you didn't really break any grammar rules, perhaps the only thing you could've done to make it better was avoid repetition by saying "this gp was actually a good one" rather than saying "this gp was actually a good gp," but that's just a suggestion rather than a rule to minimise repetition

Mateo Smereciuc knowone thinks Monaco is good.
ce circuit n'est pas le meilleur gp de france il a rien d'extraordinaire
Great Video
Sebastian's ping pong skills will always impress me.
Love the SplitScreen feature, keep it up Liberty Media
1:18 Wheel

It was only the rubber. Won't do you any harm😅

Steering wheel
Tyre** not wheel...
Still amazing how quick you have to be to catch a slide in time.
Quite insightful. So I learned now
1. that people cut corners left and right in that first lap.
2. that Vettel didn't really cause Alonso to spin; Alonso had already lost his rear before there was any contact made.
3. the reason for Romain's penalty.
4. that Vettel got that nose damage not on contact with Bottas.
well vettel's front wing gets in pieces when he hits bottas so the second incident was like the cherry on top
F1 2 weeks in a row!!!
I think Alonso is completely fed up now. Its a shame to see arguably the best driver at the back of the field.
Gar C Red Bull won't take other driver not from their Academy so no.
Alonso is getting very rusty in my eys.
@Kan Oh rite, I didn't know that, pity! Maybe Mclaren will make some gr8 improvements for next yr with a bit of luck. I think Alonso still has more to offer for F1 tbh.
There was more excitement in the duel between Kimi and Danny-Ric than there was in Monaco and Montreal combined!
Nice compilation. Can we get one with all the overtakes :-)
Finally some action
Charles Leclerc = Future World Champion.
Bottas must have been swearing inside his helmet.
Stephen Taylor he too chill
Yeah the cooling fans on the latest model are great
He didn’t
He is a cool guy,I don’t think he did btw
Stephen Taylor he doesn't have the passion it takes to be a champion he was upset but not livid like one of the greats would be.
So experienced Fernando in the traffic !
Like in Le Mans, yeah
Nah, he is a typical Spaniard. Just like in football they fall to the ground when someone comes near them and then they blame the person near them. Here we see Alonso spinning his car when Vettel overtakes and then he blames Vettel... He fucked up himself, Royally... What a joke :D
Paul Ricard is not that bad as a race track! Too bad the run-off areas and the other part of the track are a total mess..
Well until recently the track's official name was Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track. The massive run-off areas and all the possible track configurations were very much intended for testing purposes. I guess that something can be done about it now that it is an F1 venue.

Huge runoff area. Nice!
Can you start uploading the weekend debriefs with Charlie and the drivers like you did last season, they were interesting to watch
One of the greatest onboards in 2018 i guess
My favourite circuit Le Castellet Paul Ricard
I know there are haters but I am a fan of the French circuit.
The large run-off areas allow drivers to take risks, which allows for more interesting battles. Also, the long straight before the chicane allows for overtaking even with the current state of the aerodynamics.
Vettel makes bottas get a puncture, also almost makes a Haas get another puncture, final? driver of the day
0:35, 0:48 What are we doing here racing or ping pong? Honestly!
2:32 was a YOKE
Your the one wrecking 3 people in a race so....
You have to leave space, ALL the time you have to leave space ok sebastian?
I approve your racing Seb, reminds me of my race in Argentina 2018
Layne Wofford no
Turbo sounds, choo-choo-choo
Should have added in a Crashtappen corner cut while your're at it!
3:55... can imagine kimi shouting “get out the way”
I really wish the best for alonso. I dont want him to end his career like this. Atleast give him a seat in renault. Renault has been very consistent throughout this season.

Finished last but half the video has Fernando in it 😉 😄
0:26 rip headphone users
Grosjean got a 5 second penalty for bumping ocon while 3 wide. Vettel gets 5 seconds for taking out Bottas. Well played F1
F1 a formula da Emoção
Kimi and Ricciardo's fight was the best. =)
France is one of my favorite countries I didn't actually think they were gonna race there
The last one, when i ears the engine sound, i go take an insect spray, thinking i had a big one in my home XD
Vettel is crazy he crashed directly into Bottas
I wish Checo Pérez can obtain the second Red Prancing Horse seat but Charles Leclerc looks like he will be the next shooting star or will become an F1 Legend in the Future
Vasseur have the French accent
We'll noticed Stefano.👍
After now seeing the first corner incident from Bottas view, he took a pretty tight line knowing Vettel was there.... He had heaps of room to hang on the outside to not take the risk...

Everyone talking about chikane, but that's where a lot of overtakes happened.
Nikita Dubrovskih - Clearly, they complained because of some drivers forgot where to turn at Free Practices. Also, some drivers wanted that chicane to be removed too. And don't forget Spanish GP, Monaco GP, and Canadian GP were lack of overtaking.
3:04 That's why I don't like asphalt runoff aereas

The Williams sounds fantastic at @4:54
just noticed that vettel tagged the haas too 0:48
They really need to stop editing the radio messages
And the crash kid is back!
Looking Stroll's incident again I realize that if it had hapened on other race track it would be pretty dangeours. I meam a tire blast on a fast car right on a curve. Luckly french circuit has a lot of space...
This is awesome. Also cool that Vettel was 5th
And Seb got driver of the day..
AseerX1 Dont you have something better do to than hating on vettel all the time? Ive seen your other comments...just stop it already ffs
Kimi for DoD.
Haters gonna hate, move on. Even I don't cry or moan that much about Hamilton for example, ...

FIA should really consider showing us these onboards when they actually happen and not 2 days after the race. Come on...
Where is the onboard of Hulkenberg and Leclerc?
Man this is another race, funnier than live broadcast, why don't you split camera when an overtake is happening?
Javier Norambuena - I don't know if they can do that live.
TheFikri136 I think is possible but not easy, because of time, other stuff happening, etc, but maybe a replay when the race is calm.
5:02 - Mercedes 2015 Engine Sounds.
Marcus Ericsson’s mechanic sounds like Charles Leclerc
wtf is wrong with Grosjean 1:43, crashing into Ocon? 2012 is that you? My respect for him is now completely dashed.
Chronic Avidness Grosjean was ahead of Ocon, so if anything Ocon crashes into Grosjean because he had the clearer view and more space to manoeuvre
omgitsmejeff Ocon already has 2 wheels ouf the track. Where do you want him to go ? On the wall?
The thing is, Grosjean swerved left too fast for human reaction. There was no time for Ocon to avoid the collision. Grosjean plainly crashed into Ocon and damaged his own bargeboards.

Lol

Fire!
0:17 Preview of upcoming halo without the fire lol
It must feel so bad getting your tyre blown up in the before 2 laps to go...
It looks like Sebastian Vettel was driving in this race after being inspired by Sergio Ramos and the Champions final

That Williams sounds really DOPE, i think another team should copy that 😂
Alonso had never seen such a chaotic start😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

*2:04**, TWO FRENCHS CRASHING IN FRANCE, ¡WHAT A JOKE!*
Nice track xD
Seems like Ferrari has now the same S-Duct than Force India had back in 2015/2016
The French guys are hitting each other on the French Grand Prix
Tough times for Alonso, damn!
