I agree that it’s ok to recreate something as long as you don’t sell it and I’m glad you would not sell this pattern. That would have been very scummy.
As a person that does leather work for a living, you're using the tools incorrectly lol, lemme explain: It is supposed to be done in a specific order, but everyone is different for different styles and different looks, the place I work at does it this way Cutting it out: this includes landising if you have a landis, if not then cut it out with leather scissors (depending on the thickness cause it can be difficult), then sand the edges for a smooth feel (but you're only going to sand the FLAT part and usually with sanders you risk burning the leather because of friction so very light pressure, let the tools do the work for you!) Groove: do grooving before beveling if you want a nice sleek look with a border, it is optional, keep even pressure around the entire piece Beveling: this will smooth the edges the way you wanted originally, so what you need to do is keep the leather against the table, make sure the beveler is sharp, hold it around 45° making sure the sharp edge of the leather is perfectly lined up and in the center of the tool, let the tool do the work for you and glide it across the edge with minimal pressure, it's very finicky lol, there are plenty of videos that could probably explain it better here on RUclips if you want to check it out (p.s. we use a number 2, it shaves more off and keeps it looking smooth) Then we dye the leather, back and front, and buff the front (I like alcohol dyes best since they dry quicker and absorb into the leather but it could be different for pleather) After dying the leather we put a specific kind of wax on it (same process with the dye: back, front, buff the front) this locks in the dye and keeps it from rubbing off on clothes, skin, etc, and it also makes the leather water resistant Not trying to be rude or anything, sorry in advance if it came off that way, I hope this helps, keep doing what you're doing!!

As a knitter who is sensitive to wool, sometimes I’ll see cute knit pieces that are either poor quality because they’re mass produced or a poor quality fiber or it just won’t be comfortable bc it has wool, so I’ll just snap a few photos and make it myself with a fiber I like and that is custom fit to me~
I don't even see why you'd need a pattern for this. It's a really simple design to recreate in terms of cutting out. The annoying part is just working with leather or faux leather.
You should get more into bag making. I noticed how much you love designer bags. Making them yourself is fun, not easy it’s fun. You can also make the alterations to a design. There are a lot of free patterns on YT and from pattern makers. With your skill and following, you would easily get picked for testing. I’m not saying you need to switch all your content or even post. I’m saying I think it’s a creative outlet you would enjoy.
Be careful because even if you make something for just yourself with no intentions of selling it or sharing it, you can still violate trademark and be fined for it
Actually you can sell clothes and accessories like bags and shoes that were not developed by you because those things can’t be copyrighted. Only logos and patterns from clothes can be copyrighted!
I wonder if you would be able to use a soldering iron on low heat to melt/fuse/smooth the pleather edges before you put an edge coat on?? Anyone have any experience with this? I know they can be used to cleanly cut out appliqués

It looks amazing in white but I imagine that is NOT gonna last long. 😂 I personally hate light-colored garments (shoes, pants, skirts, shorts, bags- everything except a top or a hat) cause then I get so anxious in monitoring whether it's gonna get dirty lmao. If I have anything white in me that's easy to get dirt again like bags or pants, 70% of the time outside I will just worry about it.
Lots of my leather items seem to have some kind of rubber edging for seams? I’ve never looked into what it is but when they’ve gotten USED some has peeled off.
I see no issue with releasing a pattern for free. To me it’s like sharing a recipe. People all over RUclips will share how to make popular dishes at home. “How to make ihop pancakes at home, how to make red lobster biscuits at home”, etc. I also have no problem with it because most people cannot afford their expensive prices, share it so people make it on their own.
