I really do not understand why people are angry with Teresa. As we seen so far, Jane hasn't approach her to tell her his feelings for her. I know she is in love with Jane, but Is difficult to wait for someone, who you never know if he will ever fall in love with you for real. Yes, he is charming, smart, lovely friend, has protected her for time to time. But he also been manipulate, selfish in so many occasions, is logic that she has doubts, how can you still waiting for a man who is incapable to show you his real feelings? She deserves a chances of love, a home. She isn't 20's , she almost in her 40's a mature woman with the chance to have her own home. She maybe don't love Pike the way she loves Jane, but when you are mature you learned appreciate and love a good man. At this point in this story, is Jane who should have stopped with his avoidance to let his feelings go and playing manipulate tricks and being honest for the first time with her.
I believe Jane was caught off guard... sometime around at the end of the episode where they were catching the art thieves. I think he was ready to say something and Pike was with Lisbon. Jane wants to tell Lisbon his feelings but i think telling her for him feels wrong cause she is with Pike. At the same time, stopping what she has with Pike for her to be with him might not be whats good for her or what will make her happy. The only way Jane tells Lisbon his feelings is if she breaks up with Pike, not while they are involved.
She also didn't say anything to Jane. People usually sees Jane and Lisbon as a normal TV couple, but they are not! Their relationship are very close to how things happend on real life. Jane got trough so much misery for almost 12 years. RJ taked everything from him! He became obsessive, yes, and damaged. He was also afraid! Afraid of losing her. Afraid of not being enough for her. She give signs, but she was also a coward who never was really honest towards her feelings for him. In my opinion, this was one of the biggest dowfalls on how they got together. Teresa always faced Jane. She always was honest with him! Strong. Brave... They taked her out of character here! She also used Pike. We can see that many times since his arrive on the Show. A lot of times she was using her relationship to get an reaction from Jane. She was not innocent here! And, we have Pike, who knew Lisbon for 2-3 months and also manipulated her to take Jane out of her life. All of them were guilty here! I hate when people only blames Patrick!

Could well be true but to me it felt like he lost all his energy for the fight. I think by Blue Bird Lisbon felt at ease about trying out D.C., whereas Jane was entirely glib and didn't believe she'd actually leave until Cho set him straight, and that's when he finally began to panic. Teresa clearly wanted his real opinion and he wouldn't give it, Abbott tried to help/warn him and he wouldn't listen, and even Cho had to restate himself again and again when Jane tried to blow off what he was being told. He really thought he could just wait until things went back to normal, or manipulate her into staying. Anything to avoid being honest about how he really felt. I think if Teresa had tried to force a conversation he'd have avoided it, just like he did at the ends of season 4 and 5. Nothing worked, not asking outright what he meant when he said 'love you', not obvious hints, or him nearly losing his life, or her nearly dying, or her being back at his side over and over, or Pike flirting with her-- only her finally walking away made him move. I don't know whether to laugh or break something when people hate on Lisbon for not waiting just a little longer. I think 10+ years of utter devotion is long enough.

When Pike waited for her to go home she asked Jane what he thought about her moving to DC. He said congrats and she said is that all? She asked him "you're not upset?" She tried to talk to him when he looked at her on the couch, and he told her to answer the phone instead. She stood in front of him here, pained to try to tell him about the marriage proposal, and he wouldn't even look at her which is a not-so-subtle signal to tell someone you don't want to have a real conversation or any conversation. In the dozen years since they met she's not had one real romantic relationship with any man (has anyone here waited for someone a quarter that long?). Jane the mentalist cannot read that book? One of the things I like the most about Jane and Lisbon's relationship is that I think they've lowkey known that they were sort of in love with eachother for a long time before they said so, but there were just too many obstacles and fears to face. Like Jane had to know that Lisbon had feelings for him here, and he had hinted at it before, but he wanted her to go with Pike because he was afraid of exposing himself to her and he wasn't sure he could make her happy. If you rewatch the clip where Pike asked her out, that was the moment she changed her mind and said yes, when he told her she was beautiful and he wanted to get to know her. When she told Jane she didn't know what she wanted to hear, that was it. That's why when Jane went on the plane and told her, she came back. She didn't need a house, a plan, just Jane without hiding behind a freaking book.

She’s honestly not whole-heartedly in the relationship with Pike, she’s confused about her feelings with Jane plus on top of that the marriage proposal, moving to and having a new job in DC. The more Jane clammed up the more determined she was to move on but it wouldn’t have worked in the end cause she would have wondered “what if” on the Jane front. Pike didn’t know her like Jane did otherwise he wouldn’t have pushed, prodded and pressured her to do what he wanted for her. Not only was Jane a coward for not telling, she was also a coward for letting the one sided relationship go on for so long.
She tried to talk to him so many times, People either didn't watch the show more than once or wants to pick on her. Like the scene in the hallway waiting for Pike on the phone, on the couch, with the cannoli. Every time she wanted to talk he made a deflection or refused to answer her questions.
I know Jane has been through a lot because of his family's murder and all, but in this case (Teresa's romantic life), he gets zero sympathy from my side.. what so ever....! He has been cold and rude and inconsiderate of her feelings when HE (in his turn) fell head over heels for other women during the show (and I don't buy the stupid claim that he was playing L. Martins to get to RJ anyway) . Now, it's time for him to taste some of the misery and intimidation he brought to Teresa (& us) by his cold actions and heartlessness.
