Thought I would “upgrade” my standard P365 to a P365x. Bought a WC XL grip on sale and found a True Precision optics-ready slide at a good price. Slide didn’t come with sights or pats, so added $100 parts kit, $140 barrel, $40 guide rod/spring, and $110 sights. With just those parts, I was already $250 over the price of a new P365 X, which would have come with a FCU, mags, and a case. One of the dumbest things I’ve ever done in terms of pistol upgrades.
You do have the WC grip which is REALLY superb. But generally, yes, if you go the standard X-Macro version without the Spectre Comp slide, then yes, your cost will be higher because you need a new barrel. With the Comp slide we get to keep the same 3.1" barrel. The whole kit is available for $550 with two mags: a2firearms.com/sig-sauer-cal-x-kit-p365x-macro-9mm-17rd/
@ the negative comments lol.. if you regret buying different modules, it is your fault. i think having a few different "models" on standby is pretty neat. i purchased the Xmacro grip and Spectre slide and love them. will be assembling them this weekend. but also like that i can drop the trigger back into the micro and have that for a backup carry if i so desire.
The beauty of using the comp slide is that it works with the original 3.1" barrel... so no need to swap. If you run the regular slide without the integral compensator then you'll need to use the longer barrel as well. So it'll be a heavier mod with more muzzle rise and more expensive as well.
Is it legal in ca to remove the magazine disconnector and carry the gun? Wich metal grip module (xl format) is recomended. How do you recomend to cut a grip module without safety gap to adapt it to ca firing module? THANKS!
It is not illegal to remove the magazine disconnect if you own the firearm. The law says that new firearms submitted for testing to be listed on the CA Handgun Roster must have two of the three features (one of them being a Magazine Disconnect), but it does not bar the owner from removing it.
For metal grip modules I recommend Icarus. They make a nice metal platform and have it both with and without manual safety. For modifying a grip module without manual safety to be able to accommodate a manual safety, I've used a dremmel tool with great success.
You would’ve been better to just get another SIG at this point, or if you weren’t happy with the feel of the P365 micro then sell it towards the MACRO model. I have the Micro and like the option to have both Macro and Micro P365.
As mentioned, at the time the X-MACRO wasn't on the CA roster of handguns available to purchase, so I had to go this route. I also do use it in the smaller format from time to time, so nice to have options to swap and change the size of my pistol.
@@YukifvvReal essentially you are correct. But if you’re doing this with a CA Compliant gun you’ll have to make some adjustments for the magazine disconnect as well.
Not just yet. Sig does not sell the AXG grip separately just yet. I'm sure they'll do so soon, and I'll be creating a video about that once that time comes. I'd suggest following/subscribing to our channel so you get notified when the time comes.
The parts that you got for your XM road for the P3 65 do you have to get the gun registered or is it already registered? How do you go by getting the parts and go through the legalities of changing that gun over?
No need to re-register your gun. Those parts are unserialized. You'll transfer your Fire Control Unit (FCU) which is the ONLY part that has a serial number. This will give you the freedom to customize your slide, your grip module, etc. without having to register a new weapon.
@@royburkettjr7170 Not cheaper or more expensive. Just that Sig doesn't have a CA-Compliant X-Macro so I decided to go this route. All you need is the X-Macro grip module, compensator slide, and recoil spring assembly. I've listed the parts in the description section of the video. Hope that helps.
you dont have to buy the p365xl slide. just buy the XMACRO lower, and cut about half an inch at the end and you will have an XMACRO with the short slide of the p365/p365x as seen in this video ruclips.net/video/yh43BWFGZlc/видео.html
A 10rd Xmacro instead of 17rds? You might as well stick with an XL if you can't take advantage of the extra rounds due to CA compliance, but what a waste
I see what you're saying, but the X-Macro grip is still about 1/2" longer than the XL which works better for my hands. We're also fighting the good fight in CA and hope the 10rd magazine ban will be overturned for good. Fingers crossed.
Good question 🙂 The most common is when someone tries to clear the weapon but switches the steps, so instead of ejecting the magazine, then racking the slide, they rack the slide, then eject the mag. So they chamber a round (or another one), then eject the mag.
So your only one step from having a normal sig sauer p365 x macro you got rid of the magazine disconnect and the loaded chamber disconnect 😂😂 just get rid of the safety
😂🤣😂 That's the one feature I actually do like. Just a personal preference. I train drawing from the holster and taking the safety off in the same move.
Dude, how can you spout all this misinformation? At 14:25 in your video you say it is now California compliant! WRONG! You have no chamber indicator or magazine disconnect installed!!!!! You may talk about how to make those right, but you don't show it and more importantly if someone builds this and uses their gun in a shooting or if they carry using a CCW, and shoot it or God forbid kill a POS, they will be put in jail and probably loose every cent they earned in their life (due to civil law suits) because you told them they now have a CA compliant gun. They Don't! take this video down or change the video please. There is plenty of people who are trying to carry and do so legally. This type of stuff just make it so much harder for law abiding citizens to understand how to carry legally in the communist state of California.
Hi! It's indeed California compliant. California law prohibits sale of NEW firearms without two out of the three "safety features" (loaded chamber indicator, magazine disconnect, manual safety). The law does not prohibit the person who has purchased the firearm from removing any of those features. You're perfectly within your legal rights to modify your firearms as long as you don't turn them into assault weapons (by CA definition: threaded barrel, pistol grip on semiauto rifles with detachable magazines, etc. etc.)
@@A2Firearms Are you an attorney? Because I agree to disagree my friend. And if you are a CCW holder, I hope for you and your families sake, you never have to use your so called "California Complaint" handgun in an action that law endowment has to become involved and you are in a Soros funded DA's county (or similarly minded).

Not quite. I practically made a new gun and it cost me about 40% cheaper than buying the X-Macro outright. I also didn't have to register a new gun and wait 10 days to receive it, and did not have to take another CCW qualification to add a new handgun to my CCW license. All those benefits and cost savings, in my opinion, were worth exploring.
Yeahhhh, you basically bought a second gun. If yoh buy another FCU and a recoil spring you would have a second gun. If it works for your laws then great but for the average person this is wayyyyyy over the top. Just go online buy a slide and barrel complete, a grip mod, FCU and then you are done. Will cost the same amount or a bit cheaper than buying a stock gun
Agree 100%. Those were to break in the mag. My carry ammo is normally JHP. However I do carry a mag of FMJ in case I have to punch through a solid barrier.

If you can't carry more that 10 rds carry the xl grip. Get the wilson combat and get the weight kit

Did the Spectre Comp slide come with the barrel?
The Spectre Comp slide works with the original P365 3.1" barrel, so no new barrel needed. :)
I have the Macro Non Comp and I love it. Sucks that you are only limited to 10 rounds in Cali. Here in Fla i enjoy the 17 + 1 capacity.
Indeed. I look forward to the day that law is changed.

Yes, I've listed the parts in the video description.
