The @USCCA has these handy color-codes to help you understand your state of situational awareness. In Focus Level White, you are completely unaware of your surroundings. Don’t spend your time outside the house in this state. Know what’s happening around you. In Focus Level Yellow, you are a casual observer, aware of your surroundings. I advise all of you to maintain this a minimum when outside your home. In Focus Level Orange, you have identified potential threats, and are in a heightened level of awareness. At this point, you should be considering potential ways to avoid, de-escalation, and/or engage and neutralize the threat. In Focus Level Red, you have verified the threat and are now putting your plans (all the stuff you thought about in Level Orange) into action. At all times maintain situational awareness, and disengage as soon as the threat is no longer present and imminent. Check your surroundings for additional threats. There may be more than one. so you just swapped slides and put the same fcu in the grip module
@@YukifvvReal essentially you are correct. But if you’re doing this with a CA Compliant gun you’ll have to make some adjustments for the magazine disconnect as well.
Thanks. I just the macro. I figured it was like you showed but it was nice to get confirmation. Sig didn’t put it in the manual.
Glad to help
is it legal to remove the disconnect in ca?
Great question. It's not legal for a new handgun being sold. But it's legal for an owner to remove their own disconnect once they purchase.
On a Striker fired gun I like to discharge the weapon while empty and this stops you from doing that. Don't like.
You can discharge the weapon with an empty magazine inserted. Needless to say, please make sure it is pointed in a safe direction when doing so.
@ the negative comments lol.. if you regret buying different modules, it is your fault. i think having a few different "models" on standby is pretty neat. i purchased the Xmacro grip and Spectre slide and love them. will be assembling them this weekend. but also like that i can drop the trigger back into the micro and have that for a backup carry if i so desire.
Well hot damn! Finally someone gets why I did it!
Love your videos Can you post a video about cleaning Glock 17?
Please stand by. Coming up in a couple days.
In theory this is a VERY easy process to remove the mag disconnect. However in my case it was a CLASSIC case of a 10 minute operation turning into a 60 minute ordeal....My theory is that my FCU is slightly different in my California xmacro than your California p365. At 6:37 in the video, I believe this is a takedown safety lever, not the trigger bar (according to diagrams I have seen). Any way when you rotate what I believe is the safety lever pin, I had to pull mine out much further than you did which caused my Safety Lever to fall out (which of course I did not realize until I completed the entire process and then saw this random spare part on my work bench). I believe I let out an audible "well shit". I then had to pull out the safety lever pin and try to thread that pin through the hole of the safety lever. This took quite a long time. Once I was finally able to do this, I felt a huge sigh of relief. However I then noticed that I could not turn the takedown lever. The takedown safety lever was jammed because my safety lever pin was upside down. So of course I had to gently pull out the safety lever pin, rotate it, and push it back in....well guess what happened, the safety lever fell out again. I then spent what felt like an eternity trying to get the safety lever back into the FCU and thread the safety lever pin through the lever. Well I finally got it back in. I thought I was in the home stretch. The take down lever was installed properly, take down safety lever was installed properly, safety lever pin was installed properly. All there was to do was reinstall the FCU safety. Well at 13:25 when he says "thank God I didnt lose that"....Well wouldn't you know it, guess what happened to me? When I was pushing the pin in and rotating the safety to get the pin seeded in the notch, I lost focus and moved my punch tool. The pin then SHOT across my office. My office has carpet. I LITERALLY had to find the needle in the haystack. At this point I was frustrated, covered in sweat, and pretty pissed off at myself. But I know based on my past if I didnt give up and searched my entire office that I would find it. I looked around my office for about 20 minutes. I used a magnet and hovered it over the carpet in hopes the strong magnetic forces would pick up the pin. But nothing happened. I then had a memory that my dog was laying down in the direction in which the pin had shot out. So in the words of Mr. Ollivander from Harry Potter, I said "I Wonder..." My dog had then moved from the floor to the couch in my office. I ran my magnet over my dogs fur and guess what? A small black pin shot out of her coat and onto my magnet. Well the story is happy from here. I installed the safety, moved my FCU to a mischief machine commander series grip module and took my gun to the range. If you're reading this and are great at taking things apart and rebuilding them like I am, DO NOT RUSH THE PROCESS (it's always easier to rebuild something if you have all the parts). Take your time, take deep breaths, and don't make as many mistakes as I did.
@@coachjt7103 what an epic tale. I laughed, I cried, I was there on the carpet looking with you looking for the spring. Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to check one of the new ones in the office and see if there have been any changes to the FCU or any of the other parts. Truly appreciate sharing your experience with me.
@@A2Firearms Follow up comment. Im 99% sure that by removing the mag disconnect that it also removed the squish/sponge when pulling the trigger. Its has a much crisper break now
I laughed at this so hard. i was crying. man thanks for sharing i just felt like I went through this with you.
If I want to remove the manual safety as well as remove the mag disconnect . Could I just follow the steps in the video and just not attach the safety back in? I know it’s probably common sense but just want to make sure. Thanks for the video!
I haven't attempted this, so please take this with a grain of salt. My inclination would be to do so (skip installation of the manual safety) and go through the reassembly process, then dry-fire the gun to make sure it cycles correctly. If so then you can try the same with live fire in a safe area.
Thank you sir, very helpful for a newbie like me
Great video! Wish we could see you and demonstrations better. The circle is very very tiny.
Thank you. Redo coming up soon. Please stand by.
Does removal allow the install of aftermarket triggers?
Yes it does. Without the magazine disconnect this is just like any other FCU.
Thank you !
what size punch is needed?
Total cost....now that the xmacro comped is out for $849.00
You would’ve been better to just get another SIG at this point, or if you weren’t happy with the feel of the P365 micro then sell it towards the MACRO model. I have the Micro and like the option to have both Macro and Micro P365.
As mentioned, at the time the X-MACRO wasn't on the CA roster of handguns available to purchase, so I had to go this route. I also do use it in the smaller format from time to time, so nice to have options to swap and change the size of my pistol.
Just purchased and can't wait for 10 days... Thank you for the video!!!
He put the spring in wrong. The painted end of the spring goes on first.
7:50 will this work on x macro? I was trying to tilt the thing up but it doesnt let me, even tried using needle nose plyers but it would let me go even a quarter the way you got it, any tips?
Yes, should work on any P365 model. The fire control units are exactly the same. It may be that you'd have to apply a bit more elbow grease to get it to loosen up the first time, but if you're worried about damaging it, you can always show it to a gunsmith and they should be able to help you in just about 1.5 seconds if they're the helpful kind.
@@A2Firearms thank you very much!
@@A2Firearms it can turn easy but to get it verticle is pretty difficult on mine😅 but like you said may need to just get it loose thank you for taking time to respond, helps a bunch!
@@franciscomagallon3364 so that would mean it's not out far enough. You'll need to first pull it out a bit, then it'll turn vertical. If it's not turning fully vertical, then just pull out a tad bit more and try again. But also be careful not to pull out too far, cuz then it's a pain to put back in (insert Michael Scott catch phrase here).
@@A2Firearmsholy fuck im dumb thank you so much man!
It seems to me it would be much easier to move to a free state and purchase the P365 XMACRO of your choice.

Excellent! Congrats! DM us on our website and we'll send you a code for your first firearm purchase.
Great help. Thanks bro
Dude, how can you spout all this misinformation? At 14:25 in your video you say it is now California compliant! WRONG! You have no chamber indicator or magazine disconnect installed!!!!! You may talk about how to make those right, but you don't show it and more importantly if someone builds this and uses their gun in a shooting or if they carry using a CCW, and shoot it or God forbid kill a POS, they will be put in jail and probably loose every cent they earned in their life (due to civil law suits) because you told them they now have a CA compliant gun. They Don't! take this video down or change the video please. There is plenty of people who are trying to carry and do so legally. This type of stuff just make it so much harder for law abiding citizens to understand how to carry legally in the communist state of California.
Hi! It's indeed California compliant. California law prohibits sale of NEW firearms without two out of the three "safety features" (loaded chamber indicator, magazine disconnect, manual safety). The law does not prohibit the person who has purchased the firearm from removing any of those features. You're perfectly within your legal rights to modify your firearms as long as you don't turn them into assault weapons (by CA definition: threaded barrel, pistol grip on semiauto rifles with detachable magazines, etc. etc.)
@@A2Firearms Are you an attorney? Because I agree to disagree my friend. And if you are a CCW holder, I hope for you and your families sake, you never have to use your so called "California Complaint" handgun in an action that law endowment has to become involved and you are in a Soros funded DA's county (or similarly minded).
U could have just gotten the ramjet afterburner comp set up from Radian
I’m interested in making a similar swap. Will the ramjet and afterburner make a flush for when going from 365x carry to x macro?
Did the Spectre Comp slide come with the barrel?
The Spectre Comp slide works with the original P365 3.1" barrel, so no new barrel needed. :)

Hi A2 Firearms just wondering are all the test questions you went through on the actual test ? if so I guess I could just memorize them and take the test please let me know thanks in advance ☺️ 👍
No, there are far fewer questions on the test than what's explained in this manual. We go over the entire published manual, and the test questions are based on the manual as well.
You don't run a brush down the barrel? I always clean the inside of my barrel when I clean my guns.
Hi Glen, this happened to be a new barrel on this gun so I didn't clean it, but you are 100% right, that's a necessary step.
Great info! I did exactly like you showed and...almost nailed it! My slide release lever somehow came off during the surgery. After a moment of panic, I found that the little spring that was then visible needed to be on top of the lever to retain it. With a little bit of maneuvering, I got it back onto the lever and we're good to go.
Gotta love the 4 minutes of panic as you reassess and realize things aren't as bad as you initially thought 😅
Just save money and buy a p365x. Have a very good conceal and a bigger version for whatever
Terrible video! A two minute Job took a 16 minute boring video!!!!
Thought I would “upgrade” my standard P365 to a P365x. Bought a WC XL grip on sale and found a True Precision optics-ready slide at a good price. Slide didn’t come with sights or pats, so added $100 parts kit, $140 barrel, $40 guide rod/spring, and $110 sights. With just those parts, I was already $250 over the price of a new P365 X, which would have come with a FCU, mags, and a case. One of the dumbest things I’ve ever done in terms of pistol upgrades.
You do have the WC grip which is REALLY superb. But generally, yes, if you go the standard X-Macro version without the Spectre Comp slide, then yes, your cost will be higher because you need a new barrel. With the Comp slide we get to keep the same 3.1" barrel. The whole kit is available for $550 with two mags: a2firearms.com/sig-sauer-cal-x-kit-p365x-macro-9mm-17rd/
Must have missed the barrel swap, are you running the same one from the p365 on the macro? Great video 🤙🏻
The beauty of using the comp slide is that it works with the original 3.1" barrel... so no need to swap. If you run the regular slide without the integral compensator then you'll need to use the longer barrel as well. So it'll be a heavier mod with more muzzle rise and more expensive as well.
A 10rd Xmacro instead of 17rds? You might as well stick with an XL if you can't take advantage of the extra rounds due to CA compliance, but what a waste
I see what you're saying, but the X-Macro grip is still about 1/2" longer than the XL which works better for my hands. We're also fighting the good fight in CA and hope the 10rd magazine ban will be overturned for good. Fingers crossed.
3 minutes in and looks like you're still trying to convince yourself a round didn't magically hop back into that chamber.
This is clutch,
There’s a X Macro Comp Ca compliant on the Sig website…. Noticed it last night.
Haha they were waiting for me to post this before allowing it. 😂🤣
What’s the estimated rounds fired before u replaced spring.
Sig recommended change rate is around 5,000 rounds
Oh god, ballpark estimate would be about 10,000. Having replaced it I actually now think maybe it could’ve run even longer. Initially felt like the new spring was tighter but now they feel pretty close.
Dude. Move. Your state sucks.
We're Americans! We stand and fight 😃
Thanks. Excellent demo.
Glad you liked it!
you dont have to buy the p365xl slide. just buy the XMACRO lower, and cut about half an inch at the end and you will have an XMACRO with the short slide of the p365/p365x as seen in this video ruclips.net/video/yh43BWFGZlc/видео.html
thank you not sure why other videos are 8 to 10 minutes long for this
Glad you found it helpful. 🤙🏻
I’m sorry but you basically bought a new gun
Not quite. I practically made a new gun and it cost me about 40% cheaper than buying the X-Macro outright. I also didn't have to register a new gun and wait 10 days to receive it, and did not have to take another CCW qualification to add a new handgun to my CCW license. All those benefits and cost savings, in my opinion, were worth exploring.
The only thing bought was the slide and grip module, along with the magazine. Since when was a slide and grip considered a firearm?
Yeahhhh, you basically bought a second gun. If yoh buy another FCU and a recoil spring you would have a second gun. If it works for your laws then great but for the average person this is wayyyyyy over the top. Just go online buy a slide and barrel complete, a grip mod, FCU and then you are done. Will cost the same amount or a bit cheaper than buying a stock gun
Xtech mag extension. Similar grip improvement under $50 for those that don’t need or want to build basically another gun.
You blow in from stupid town?
watched this before switching my p365ca curve to flat trigger. it went well, and it's a nice upgrade
Awesome video! Using this to take my test tomorrow
Thank you! Glad you found it helpful. Best of luck on your test, and please let me know if you passed once you take it.

You can use the XMacro mags in any of the smaller frames
Just a note, the AXG Legion mag does not come with floor plates to accommodate into XL or X Macro. It'll fit, but the grip will be wonky.
Would you be able to transfer over the entire x macro slide assembly over to the standard p365 frame? (Eg Slide, barrel, recoil spring, and fsu?) Does this work because that would be fairly cheaper than having to buy an entire slide and RSA
