I feel like a lot of the shows this year resemble each other with this groovy/melodic vibe. They all have some sort of beat or melody that sticks in my head all day. They are so catchy, I cannot get enough of it. What a great year for WGI.
The design of this show has been on of the highest. It conveys deep concepts. Two years ago, my band director, William Redd had gathered us and shown us WGI. Mr. Redd, if you are reading this, you knew me as Jehbar Nino Doblas Ibarra, I am grateful for the time I had with you in learning not only the marching arts, but jazz as well. My gratitude extends to Jerry Carpenter, a personal King of Jazz. At 4:46, I remember that dark bandhall with the chairs sprawled around with me and my friends around our computers and when I heard that, the song touched me so deeply, nearly made me cry, and it encouraged me to begin changing my life for the better. I was the opposite of what you called troubled, I did AP, never was involved with the vaping stuff, and was very nerdy. But that was what was wrong, I was too uptight to the rules and had to loosen up as those who did not necessarily follow the rules as "tightly" as I did went further. As Arnold likes to put it, "Break the rules, but not the law." I would soon learn that to go far in music is to love it, and if you are doing it out of establishing respect, you will never get far. The same goes in life. Music is alive. Why play it dead? Life is alive. Why live it dead? And don't do things for the approval of others. Just do what you know is right and live by what you know is true. Be open to ideas, but be open to yourself as well. Junior year was a massive change as I had decided to transfer to the larger high school in pursuit of a broader perspective. I ended up becoming distant from my project-based learning family; however, I learned so much that I would likely do it again if I had the chance to rewind time. But I would also learn that it is usually good to remember your roots, especially if you like them. In short words: When I listened to the song, the moment had literally "change[d everything"
For those of you who are curious what i used to shoot this // Body: Sony A7iii // Lens: Sony 70-200mm f2.8 GM // Mic: Rode Stereo Vidmic Pro // All strapped on to a monopod
@@cuttingham_1232 I mean they had a great show that year but I was at finals as well and RCC just blew everyone out of the water. Totally undeniable, just like Broken City 2019
Is the opening track specifically made for this show? I haven't come across it in Son Lux's discography yet, and I've been looking for it. Really nice progression, wish I could find the source.
Last years show was right with what they did with the dancers. You have to remember that it blends percussion with theatre. In that sense they are as much actors as the drum line and pit
Pulse has got my favorite show for the second year in a row.

In short words:

I love the music, the strings and the percussion just sound so good together to me at least.
I definitely like this show better than Rhythm X’s.... not to take away from any performers, I just like this show better.
Polo 10k there was just something about seeing rhythm x live. Watching it back they weren’t very clean and it just isn’t as hype as it was in person
That cymbal feature was clean af!
ikr, those fucking splits were amazing and there visuals too
@@thisonecomedian278 *their
Nehemiah Boscia Thank you

A bar from Uninvited @ 1:40
Anyone know what son lux song they used in the beginning?
Tear PT. 1
Everything must change
Dream state
All by Son Lux
Who else was brought here by the dab
Anyone other me really dislikes the use of dancers that aren't literally showing the plot (like Pulse 2017)?

Pulse deserved 3rd, broken city deserved second, rcc deserves first
in my opinion pulse deserved second, broken city third, and chino hills first
