Thanks to everyone who picked up the STUDIO KIT Sample pack! You guys rule.
It's a lot more fun watching you setup your studio than wiring up mine
Having my morning coffee and watching... rug looks good, racks look good, you look good.
Yo! thanks for picking up the samples homie!
@@AndrewMasters Totes! Finally back at home and done traveling for a bit! Diving in with them today! So far they sound fantastic! Great work!
EPIC VIDEO BRO | I appreciate the tour (emotional)
If I had a dollar for every time I’ve seen Andrew take apart his desk to put more gear in, I’d be able to afford some of the gear in these videos😂
Picturing your electric meter spinning like Christmas Vacation 🤣
PLUS everything is EPIC...WE Get the EPIC THING!!!
lol yeah I don’t get it either, but you keep clicking on the vids with epic in the titles so here we are.
Absolutely gorgeous and well-functioning studio! I'd love to spend my days in a space like that.
Thanks so much!
Wow, that's a nice looking room! Pretty incredible vibe. Thanks for sharing your process!
Nice to see those custom blank panels getting use again. I'm sure you'll fill those spaces soon enough, though.
Studio looks great! 🙌🏾⚡️🙌🏾
Ok, Peter McKinnon, I see your coffee intro and I’m into it ☕️
my guy!
Nice to see a Vancouver in your room now. Mothership next...? ;)
My 24U and sidecar are en route. Thanks for the $100 discount!
Studio looks beautiful and I love your setup. Wow!!! Amazing
Such a satisfying video! haha Having a home studio myself AND OCD is a nightmare combination, but this gave me the courage to reorganize my space too!
I'm using the Adam Hall 6161 Rack Strips which allow me to use 1/2 HU spacers. The strips are slightly narrower than the regular 61535 rack strips, you might have to find the proper size/type for your setup, but not wasting 1 HU for every spacer is totally worth it!
Great change to the set up…⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🏴
Laughed out loud at the Liver King vid.
Wow! You have some serious toys there 😃👍🏼
Dangerfox desk is epic!!! I am saving for a 24 split straight... maybe early 2023 for me. I am not a fan of those side car racks it makes the desk look incomplete to me because they don't extend out to the edge of the full desk. I like those xylo's thou those are really nice!!!! Man your room has really evolved fast!!!
Crazy I was just looking at their desks last night. Looks great!
Incredible setup. I love it!
Thank you!
I love that your watching kill tony, i do the same while doing projects around the studio
What a beautiful space. Wish you continued success on the tube. Content is A1
Thanks!
Just bought two Output Sidecars which I expanded and maxed out...these also fit the aesthetic I had in mind, just a bit pricier, though it seems on par for the quality. Thanks for the practical review on these, could quite possibly be in my future!
I would recommend replacing the chair wheels with roller blade chair wheels. Better for floors and usually better movability
This video auto-played as I'm in my mix room mounting my hardware into new rack cabinets and installing a new routing system. It's a pain in the ass to do but absolutely well worth the 3-4 days it takes to get it done.
I’m excited for mine . Hopefully soon. Ordered mine back in September. 😊.
Edit Jan.4
Man Dangerfox never came through with the Xylo rack. It’s been almost 5 months .I had bought it a few days after orders were open in late July. No complaints tho, I really love Dangerfox products.
You change your room around, almost as much as I change my pedalboard around. Lol
Love it Bro! I was already headed to DangerFox from whence you came (Output) & NOW I'm surely saving ALL my $$$ for the Genesis Split 24 w/side & racks! I'm envious, have to plan another 6 months.
Oey..How many studio make overs are you GOING TO DO!!!.. Every piece of gear you get for free is a STUDIO MAKEOVER!!
Dope video! Have you considered getting a digital patch bay at some point? I’d love to see you review the Flock audio patch. I’m thinking of copping one some day when I can ✌🏾👍🏾
i thought it was a @venustheory video for a second with the coffee intro :D
Hey, awesome stuff. Just a quick question: Do you leave space between some of the gear due to heat management? If so which devices need it? which dont? (do the wa eqs need it? im thinking of getting them)
As much work as that was, I bet listening to kill tony while setting everything up fs makes it way better. Love that show
Made everything better!
Love your content; thank you. What's the box on the new rack with the keypad and the red lights?
That's probably the AMS RMX 16 you're seeing.
@@AndrewMasters Thanks. I'll check it out.
I'm looking forward to more of your ideas and content. In about 5 months, my wife and I have to move from the 3 bedroom house that we're renting to her father's house. My studio is going to be in the 6' ceiling crawl space. It will be a larger room but I just about touch the ceiling with my head. Any ideas for acoustic treatment would be more than welcome. I'm used to a bedroom studio.
Those Dangerfox racks are awesome! I love all of their products. Awesome studio Andrew!
Can u link the outboard gear rack with the striped wood?! It s gorgeous!!
It’s at Dangerfox.com linked in bio
So, what are you doing with all this gear? Got projects you're working on ?
Would you consider adding the SSL BiG SiX to your signal chain?
watching the liver king lol
lol yeah i can stomach about 15 minutes of him as a guest on something i'm watching. Gotta get those ancestral tenants strong.
Got the same grinder! Sponsored by sweetwater 🤣
Looking clean though, peanut butter and jealous
Coffee bros
I would have just gotten another rug. 😄
I did, but I forgot to show it in the vid lol. This was over a period of about 6 weeks.
The Dangerfox stuff is beautiful! I’m planning on upgrading my current desk to a Dangerfox 16U. Love your videos!
"This one has 24 slots, these each have 8, but I don't have enough rack space"
What a problem to have 😂
u rule
You’re the best
Me watching this video, still waiting for my XYLO
The only problem with dangerfox equipment is it’s not available in the uk
Are you running keyboards to external mic pre’s or straight into the Apollo’s??
Everything is going to a dedicated outboard chain. The x8p pres are being used for the podcast mics.
great setup. is that floor sagging yet? :)
oh, it absolutely is.. i'm just waiting to fall into the garage lol.
You have spent some serious cash I hope you are getting that work. It's a seriously expensive profession. Beautiful the way you set up.
Lots of wasted space in front of the desk..... Put that desk on casters and roll it close to the window. Move the speakers to each corner and place them properly so they hit your listening spot perfectly.
Dang, genius.
Was that Rick Beato on your monitor!?
Of course! He’s the goat
I can't help but wonder, how much of all that rack gear is actually sponsored by Sweetwater? Because so much was added in such a short time...
A bunch of email addresses smiling
Sorry man. Tony Anderson's caffeine setup has you beat. Time to up your game.
Haha amen
Wow you had to move everything, a long couple of days
just buy a second rug
I did.
Who else is here procrastinating on setting up their studio by watching others set up theirs? lol
That’s to many mic preamps. nice setup..
Explain to the newbies why you need 24 mic preamps.
Everything in the room is always setup with mics in position, ready to record.
Ummmmm... what's up with the continuity error buddy?! 🤔
NEVERMIND!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Electric bill
Glad you are showing the gear, but the pretentious coffee bit is a waste of time and unrelated.
Coffee is super pretentious
The slatted panels are really for acoustics so that you don't have such large resonant pieces. this design was led by Northward Acoustics with their furniture line some time ago and a few companies are now copying/being inspired. While functional the aesthetic isn't great imo as you can see gear and cables if the sides are viewable in your setup.
You got a lot of gear man!! Do you mix and track records like that??? I don’t ever see you talk about any of your work? Aside from the john Mayer covers, what all do you do in there with all that stuff?? 😂
