Since I first read about Scotland in middle school It became one of my dream places.....If maybe in the near future this pandemic will finally end...a travel there would be so nice.. I am fairly well traveled and I whole heartedly agree, I have zero Scottish blood but was in my high school bagpipe band many years ago and I fell in love.
If you like Scotland, I'd also highly recommend a tour through Ireland and Northern Ireland, specifically the Wild Atlantic Way. By far my favourite vacation location so far, although I'm going to Scotland in a few months!
@@Ehralur Yes, I visited Dublin and Galway a few years ago and I loved it. However, I also love Braemar, Stirling, Edinburgh and the Scottish Islands. There are also many interesting bike trips through Scotland - and I suppose, through beautiful Ireland too.
Would definitely also recommend orkley and Shetland, they have some of the oldest settlements in Europe and are completely full of neolithic artefacts and structures like standing stones as well as unique Brochs which can't be found anywhere in the world outside of Scotland. Would also recommend the Cairngorms, which is an absolutely beautiful national park full of the top 9 tallest mountains in the UK! (And Glencoe is also an extremely beautiful place) (And also the Island of Lewis and Harris which has some of the most beautiful beaches in the UK and is also full of neolithic structures) in short, there are not enough places in Scotland on this list.
We are in Scotland right now and have seen (or are going to see) most of the places listed. It has been absolutely amazing. The people are friendly and the country is absolutely beautiful. It's absolutely worth a visit.
Just returned from Scotland in July 2022, it was breathtaking! We did an 8 day tour starting in Edinburgh and up through Inverness , Culloden Battlefield, Isle of Sky, Lochness, Loch Lomand, Eileen Donan castle and much more! Took a tour with a company called Gate 1 travel. Our tour guide was well-versed on Scotish history. I learned so much and was able to see the strong sense of pride and tradition its people have. This trip was a birthday celebration that was rescheduled after Covid hit. I am so glad I was finally able to visit this beautiful country and experience its stunning landscape!!
Scotland's nature is truly captivating! From the rugged Highlands with its mist-covered mountains and deep lochs to the stunning coastline, there's a wealth of natural beauty to explore. The country is rich in wildlife, with red deer, golden eagles, and puffins among its inhabitants.

I came back from Scotland a couple weeks ago and I have to say that it was the most amazing and wholesome travel experience I’ve ever had. I knew I would like it but did not understand the extent of the feelings it would provoke in me. It’s such a magical place, not only because of its castles, but its natural beauty. Breathtaking anywhere you look. I met the kindest and friendliest people there. I live very far away and going back it’s not so easy. But I’ll try my best to someday find myself walking among its gorgous scenery.

Enjoyed 3 Highland Games in Dunoon. Loved watching the pipers come through town after the games. Would hike up the hill behind where I was staying, house on Midge Lane, and walk to it then take a cab back. The chef Maggie was incredible. Venison with mushrooms in a red wine gravy and the best Gateaus I've ever eaten. I'm glad it was rebuilt after the fire. Such a beautiful place. Going for a drive and taking the ferry to Bute was always fun. Really enjoyed driving down the road with pheasants sitting on the fences looking at the weird Americans. A couple of tips. 1. Bring something to keep the midges at bay. 2. Book everything in Skye before you get there. It has been very busy and they even had to stop more visitors a couple of summers back. But Skye is totally worth it.
Slightly disappointed my home town of Oban wasn't featured...Although I see you included an image of the town at the start of the video. We've got some stunning views, and are of course the gateway to the Isles. Plus, we're a friendly bunch ;)

One day I will visit Scotland! I like mountains, same like we have in Serbia. We also have and bagpipes. We have suffered for centurues by the Turks,Scotish by the English.Same bad things they do to us.Big hug to Scotland from Serbia ❤🇷🇸
That’s bullshit. Scotland never suffered? It’s not a conquered nation. This is such a myth. Scotland has invaded England more times than the reverse. The Scottish monarchy overtook the English throne, not the other way round. The Scottish mps voted to become and Union with England. Scottish people today get more money per head than anywhere else in the U.K. English and Welsh mps cannot vote on laws made by the Scottish parliament, but Scottish mps can vote on laws affecting England . Suffering honestly my eyes can’t roll further back 🙄
@@maiw4348 English proscription and attempted genocide of Scottish language, dress and culture is still going on. Experimental reactor, seven contaminated sub hulks, over 200 nuclear warheads, Scottish Island used to test anthrax bombs. Scots constantly used as cannon fodder, the theft of resources and destruction of any attempt at international trade. As for Scotland invading England???? Utter rot. Scotland is less than ten percent the population of England. More of Scotlands money is spent on SCOTS. Englands problem not ours. Scots CANT vote on English laws but English constantly veto anything Scotland tries to do. You need to try opening your eyes sometime.
These are just a few of the many incredible places to visit in Scotland, each offering its own unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. Whether you're exploring historic castles, hiking in the mountains, or relaxing by a tranquil loch, Scotland has something to offer every traveler.

My favourite location in Scotland is Loch Lomond - very beautiful and an easy day trip to combine with Stirling Castle. Highly recommend staying in a Scottish Castle Hotel or Manor estate. I loved Dalhousie Castle Hotel and did falconry and archery and Glenn Eagles for clay pigeon shooting and archery. Both are in good locations either outside of Edinburgh and on the way to Inverness.
@@SM-gx3ho I think you may be able to but best to have a look at their site and the businesses themselves as I went pre-2020. They have clay pigeon shooting, archery and falconery at the Hotel which is lovely but expensive to stay at. Otherwise Dalhousie Castle is about 30 minutes from Edinburg and you can definitely book just the falconery/archery direct as it is run by a separate business. I think there also might be a business around Inverness/Loch Ness with all the activities.

A very solid list, some places which I would personally recommend include; The isle of Arran - a very beautiful island with much great produce, as it is in the central belt it is also very accessible. The devils pulpit - Just north of Glasgow, this is a great wee spot. Dunrobin Castle/Dunrobin - If you are doing the north coast 500 or are just visiting the north, this is possibly one of the most exquisite castles in Scotland. Inverness - The start and finish point of the NC500, Inverness has much to offer including a staggering castle, galleries and bustling shopping district. Paisley - the city of culture 😅. This town has many great places to eat, drink and study. This is also where the name for 'Paisley Pattern' comes from (despite being of Indian origin) Galloway forest - a great forest where you can do many activities including biking, hiking and climbing.

We are lucky to live up in the North on the Eastern side. It was our dream to live in Scotland. Both the children had left home we started to really think seriously about it. Neither child wanted us to be that far away. They both moved to Cornwall and were happy for us to live our dream. Here we are thirteen years later we are living our dream they are living theirs. We FaceTime and it’s like we are visiting for real. Obviously it’s not all a bed of Rosie’s, but it’s like being on holiday every day. We love it as far as we are concerned we live in Narnia and at night the trees dance. The wildlife that visit is amazing and just to let you know in Scotland lakes are Loch. You really need to get the details right.

Scotland is my dream country ❤️🙏💕

A couple of tips.
1. Bring something to keep the midges at bay.
2. Book everything in Skye before you get there. It has been very busy and they even had to stop more visitors a couple of summers back. But Skye is totally worth it.
Here in the UK, we use 'Avon's SSS - Skin So Soft' over our body, midges hate the smell, so do we LOL, but it does help!
Slightly disappointed my home town of Oban wasn't featured...Although I see you included an image of the town at the start of the video. We've got some stunning views, and are of course the gateway to the Isles. Plus, we're a friendly bunch ;)
I proposed to my wife in Oban 6 years ago. Was up there last August too. Lovely little town 👌🏻
I agree! My husband and I loved our trip to Scotland and Oban was one of our favourites. We especially loved the distillery tour and the chocolate store! Greetings from Canada.
What a beautiful country !!! 💕💕🙏😊

My favourite country in the world. I'm not from Scotland but it's the most beautiful place I've ever been. ❤
One day I will visit Scotland! I like mountains, same like we have in Serbia. We also have and bagpipes. We have suffered for centurues by the Turks,Scotish by the English.Same bad things they do to us.Big hug to Scotland from Serbia ❤🇷🇸
I agree with you 🌷
That’s bullshit. Suffering honestly my eyes can’t roll further back 🙄
@@maiw4348 You certainly have an interesting take on history, an inaccurate one admittedly, but interesting all the same
@@maiw4348 English proscription and attempted genocide of Scottish language, dress and culture is still going on.
@@maiw4348 A ridiculous analysis but mind you that's what happens when you read the Daily Mail and believe what the BBC tell you.
These are just a few of the many incredible places to visit in Scotland, each offering its own unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. Whether you're exploring historic castles, hiking in the mountains, or relaxing by a tranquil loch, Scotland has something to offer every traveler.
This video and the footage of Scotland was breathtaking
This video was simply awesome. Helping me dump Scandinavia for the British Isles post COVID

Felt so nostalgic. Had been to 6 of these places last year, absolutely amazing!
I’ve been to Orkney before and believe me when I say it is beautiful up there. There is also a lot of history related things there as well.

Hi, is it possible to go to glen eagles for the pigeon shooting and activities without staying there? thanks!

Visiting Scotland is on my bucket list. I want to visit places like Holyrood Palace and other places in Scotland.
Life is full of the lovely things like the morning sun, the gleaming dew drops, the sparkling rain, the vast blue sky, the whistles of chirping birds, the beauty of the sea. Hope you're doing
great and in good health__
A very solid list, some places which I would personally recommend include;
The isle of Arran - a very beautiful island with much great produce, as it is in the central belt it is also very accessible.
This is also where the name for 'Paisley Pattern' comes from (despite being of Indian origin)
Galloway forest - a great forest where you can do many activities including biking, hiking and climbing.
How beautiful! All of it!
Scotland got to be my first solo travel!

Iona - this is a really special place to visit. If you can afford it, you can sail around Scotland in a beautiful yacht - sharing the yacht with other people - it’s great fun.

Welcome to Scotland, I hope you will have nothing but the greatest time here.
Great video Scotland from your neighbour from down south
I've been all over Europe, I felt at home in Scotland.
Glasgow, Edinburgh, Oban, St. Andrews, Fort William, Aberdeen, Loch Ness, and many more, those are very beautiful places to visit in Scotland
Beyond beautiful!
its so hard picking just 10 places in Scotland there are so many more
I could very easily compile another top 10 that are even more spectacular than those listed here, having been restricted by Covid for the past couple of years has given us locals the opportunity to rediscover our homeland, having traveled extensively I have to say Scotland is quite unique in the diversity and raw beauty of it’s landscapes.
@@thekfcboss64 AYE, and Loch Ness would NOT feature in my top twenty let alone number 1???!!!!. 🏴🏴🏴🏴

love the place...dreaming to witness these places in my own eyes...have been watched vikings valhalla and it got me curious about scotland. im from ph btw
Great vid..thanks alot for luvly posting
Wow very beautiful places.
