    Omg, this is unbelievable, look where the rackets always goes to his left hand, exactly at the same spot every time, low high medium ball it doesn’t matter , the rackets goes directly to his left thumb!!! Unbelievable just unbelievable

    I don't know if it's the ultimate forehand, but damn, it sure is pretty to watch. The timing of it is just so precise, with his fully extended arm, that it's hard to copy it for mere mortals. Thanks, for sharing the skill of Roger's craft.

    The most graceful motion of any player make or female. You can take a picture at any point of the swing and follow through and it always looks good

    SLO mo forehand shots really help in grasping the correct basis for this shot.

    Along with his switch to bigger headsize, he also made his takeback much more compact, saving time and lessening margin or error. This helped him become even more aggressive and stay near baseline so he could stay in the game when the courts were becoming slower and balls heavier. He was essentially doing everything he could just to stay in the game.

    He wobbles the racquet at the very last moment, that's the trick. But an act hard to follow.. 😁👍❤️

      Hi, what do you mean that Roger wobbles the racket at the very last moment, that's the trick. Could you please tell me what you mean by that? From a tennis lover. Thank You. Mike

      @@miguelormike6424 I think he means that the wrist is really loose and slightly bent at the follow-through which tends to wobble the racquet at the very last moment.

    • @ronsterbenz8648
      @ronsterbenz8648 2 года назад +6

      @@miguelormike6424 this is called lag. Nobody does it better. Largely due to how superbly coordinated his movements are to allow his shoulder and entire hitting arm to stay quite relaxed from the start of the load up all the way to contact. Inertia can only create the lag. Most everyone tries to get this lag through muscle action but it’s fake. Real lag acts as a whip of sorts. It takes a lot of coordination. Ain’t easy to do Basically impossible if you think don’t know how to trust your body. Which is 99% of players. Also this lag is so beautifully created to flow through contact. The best stroke in tennis history.

    For the winning matches and statistics Djokovic is NOW (maybe since 3 years ago). Federer WAS for more than 20 and will stay for good in its style, easiness fluidity, biomechanics,etc never seen before not even in Nole. Let's concede greatly to Nole that does not need neither all these elements to rip off opponents nor Roger's often risk level shots-next to the lines (may be that for Roger was never risky but ingrained in his tennis ADN).
    By the way would be super interesting that Love Tennis shows the huge change evolution in Nole's BALANCED hitting (key factor to anyone's better shot making).
    For me it's as evident as eg. the change in Rafa's backswing forehand until 2008 approx.
    Just take for instance the final US Open 2013 Rafa-Nole or matches before. Nole gravity center at hitting was always up like in the air, mostly "jumping" a little (and missing much more and less quality ball placements than recent years). Yes, looked like a jumpy player. Even esthetically his movements at hitting were not as nice and neat as they are in the last 3-4,5 years?. I imagine how much hard work hours must have invested in this great improvement.
    In my humble opinion that was his big game changer. Since several years ago he's got an absolutely pretty balanced, super stable, straight body posture and lower gravity center hitting. Instead Roger and Rafa always had this trait.

    Who has the ultimate ATP modern tennis forehand technique?

  • @bn6942
    @bn6942 Год назад

    I bet no one saw his left non hitting hand was swing to the left to make his right hand wrap around and his right foot moving forward. It means the non hitting hand is very important to accomplish the perfect hit. Without moving left non hitting hand is impossible

    semiwestern? eastern?

    • @Stiffjab71
      @Stiffjab71 3 года назад +1

      Eastern. Peraltro da una misurazione scientifica è risultato che genera più rpm di Nadal nonostante utilizzi un'impugnatura vecchio stampo anzichè estrema come quella dello spagnolo. A dimostrazione che per quanto concerne il topspin lo swing conti di più dell'impugnatura utilizzata. Ciao!

      @Gianpolo Scotto Watch the 1st two forehands very closely and look at the difference at the end of the take-back. The 2nd forehand is right between Eastern and semi (base knuckle between bevel 3/4), as evidenced by Federer holding the racket flat (parallel with the ground) before swinging forwards. The 1st forehand he doesn't place the racket as flat, or parallel with the ground, because he's holding the racket with a more eastern grip.
      You can also see the first shot is flatter, than the second. The second shot follow through is more like a windshield wiper. This windshield wiper swing is more natural with the 2nd kind of grip I described.

    mechanically bad without power movement why he never could beat Nadal on clay

    • @stefandrago8578
      @stefandrago8578 Год назад +2

      Roger didn't need power because he was mechanically the best player ever. It's simply almost impossible to beat Rafa on high bouncing courts with a single handed backhand.

    • @pencilcheck
      @pencilcheck 6 месяцев назад

      No one can beat nadal on clay, so no one mechanics is as good as Rafa, however everyone can sort of beat him outside clay though, so does it mean Rafa has inferior mechanics?

    • @emilioibrahim9802
      @emilioibrahim9802 6 месяцев назад

      Just for the records , this was the beginning or the end of his training session where they do easy slow rallies, that’s why you don’t see much of mechanical movement in the forehand cuz he wasn’t being aggressive or trying to find an angle
