Power selection of a sfp will have zero effect for Dialing the turrets…. It only effects hold over for the reference points in the reticle.
Thinking about getting this same scope for my cross
Good, honest video if you ask me about the scope. Wondering how small that center dot actually is to the eye when not illuminated and at what setting does it start to bloom when illuminated? If it is .06 Millaradians, as the spec sheet says, that is slightly larger than .06 Mils. But it is second focal plane, which means it doesn't get larger when you zoom like a 1st focal plane scope reticle does. Is that dot really easy to lose when it isn't illuminated?
You never explained what was wrong with the illumination. What is it doing? Can you give us the last update on this scope? Thanks.
Just stopped working. Lol
Still sitting in my office to be sent off.
Bought it, thank you!
Thinking about getting this but the Accupoint with no battery and Fiber Optics/Tritium seems like a better option for the same price? Any reason why didn't you go with that? Also is that a midwest industries mount?
Kinda curious on this as well..... I’m between the 2.5-10 accupoint , 2.5-15 credo and nightforce nxs 2.5-10 42..... also the shv 3-10 but it does not have an adjustable paralaxx
That is a Warne mount. Just went with this optic due to it being new.
shv is not water proof. Was going to get one till that tidbit came up.
Appreciate the review. Question on the Second Focal Plane aspect: My understanding was that the reticle would only be accurate on one power setting(in this case 15) if you were using the holds on the actual reticle. Does it also affect dialing for windage and elevation? thanks again
My understanding is focal plain doesn’t effect dialing.
If I understand your question, no it doesn’t matter .
FFP or SFP as long as you are using the center point of aim, doesn't have an effect. Its when you attempt to use the windage or elevation hold offs or hold overs that you start to complicate things. It's not unmanageable, but it does make things more challenging.
you are 100% correct and that is per Trijicon themselves, they have a video on RUclips talking about the differences between ffp and sfp.
How does it compare to the LHT?
How do you like this compared to VX5 and LHT?
That’s a hard question. Lol
I’d prefer the Leo over all of them. Maybe . Lht is my least favorite optic clarity wise. But has good options.
Is that the HX version?
That height over bore is excessive…. Rings are way too high.
