    The fact that people have to talk up taking the train should tell you everything you need to know

      @@TheLIRRFrenchie... Tell that to the people at Dyre Avenue, Bowery, Marcy, 2nd Avenue, Ralph Avenue, 116 and Wall Street where that 65 year old clerk was beat up. @brownbarrett6842 lol I just named two of the most ratchet stops in east ny, who privelidged do you know lives over there?? And bowery does have cops as well as wall street on the 4/5 and 2/3. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean they're never there. They're assigned at different times. And I'm a black lirr engineer, no privilege over here, only hard work.

      @@TheLIRRFrenchie... Perfect. I also work for the city, so does my mother, father, aunts, friends and cousins. Most of them for the police and MTA. We are there everyday in those areas . However since you must not know Bowery alone is a drug haven and most of the time the cops are in and out or passing by. We rarely see MTA cops outside of Port Authority, LIRR and Metro North and it’s obvious you don’t know there is a difference of what they can do in the train station. I know for a fact just by your statement you have NEVER called for assistance in the station because you would know workers wait for hours for assistance -if they show up and most of the time they don’t .

    The G train is needed, people use the G train. It's great they are finally fixing the signals and tracks. MTA Needs to extend the G line to Forrest Hills and add on more cars, from 4-5 cars to 8 -10 cars. It's not just about capacity it also about Safety! When kids, adults and Seniors have to run the length of 3 train cars to catch the G train before the doors close and everyone shoving to get in. It's a matter of Safety!! MTA also needs to renovate & reopen Bergen St station lower level for the F train to go express and the F & G are not sharing the same tracks. It will cut down commute time on the F train & cut down the wait time between G trains.

    • @DBSGEEK7
      @DBSGEEK7 5 месяцев назад +1

      The G back to Forest Hills is a probable NO. But the G being extended to 8 cars is possible but we need more yard space and more R211s

    • @CLBT7437
      @CLBT7437 5 месяцев назад

      @@DBSGEEK7In order to take 8 car sets from ENY yard for G service, which isn't necessary due to the low ridership on the G, we would need 8 car R211's. However, only 10 car R211's have been purchased so far to retire R46's.

    • @DeStylez01
      @DeStylez01 5 месяцев назад

      @@DBSGEEK7 G to Forrest Hill...probable not. But it should and maybe even further past Church Ave. If not 10 cars then 8 cars is definitely possible. There is a underground storage yard after Church Ave that's used to turn the G around. It's more than long enough to handle 8 cars...maybe even 10.

      @@CLBT7437 I have ridden the G during different time of the day and evening on weekdays and weekends. There is No "low ridership" on the G. Believe me. What MTA is "claiming low ridership" is comparing to the 3 most used/high volume ridership on the 8th Ave, Lex Ave & the L line. It's a false narrative that the MTA has created since the 80's to justify severely cutting service, because the G is the Only Full subway line that Doesn't go into or threw Manhattan.

    • @CLBT7437
      @CLBT7437 5 месяцев назад +2

      @DeStylez01 I have also ridden the G. When I say "low ridership" I mean lower than the rest of the subway system, not just 8th and Lexington Avenues or Canarsie. Put this into perspective: If we ran 10 car G trains at the current frequency, each train would be empty, which is a total waste of rolling stock.

Meanwhile the 5 train in the Bronx doesn’t have that luxury or consistent weekend service in over 20 years. Try to spot a 5 train 3 weekends in a row without a shuttle train- I’ll wait. How about a train less than every 30 plus minutes from Dyre to 180 on Saturday nights. Exactly.
