    This is some kind of interview I was missing. There is so much story in the very early green day days that are quite unknown. Thanks for the interview, watching it now.

    He wasnt the original drummer for green day, he played for billie and mike in sweet children, so he didnt need to be called that title

    I thought Raj was barely around as their drummer but he clearly feels he doesn’t get enough credit. Cool guy, imagine a decent interviewer who actually knew something about Green Day!

      Rajs was their drummer for a year, and have been playing with them before Sweet Children has even existed.

    Raj was never a drummer for Green Day. He played drums in Billie and Mike’s earlier bands before they were Green Day.

      Sweet Children and Green Day are essentially the same band. The first EP by Sweet Children got re-released under the Green Day name in the first compilation album so drawing this line is absurd.

    Also Green Day is bigger than U2.

      Gret guy! U2 has sold around 175 million albums, compared to Green Day, which has sold around 75 million. I'd say U2 is the bigger and more prolific band. Thanks for watching and commenting!

      @@BeingFamousPodcast-dx4ze Green Day is definitely bigger, Dookie and American Idiot impacted the music more than anything U2 has done, The sales figure is very flawed and not updated, it has been stuck at 75 million since 2008 as far as i remember, Green Day has definitely sold at least 100 million and and while ofc U2 will have more sales because certainly 2 completely different genres their music is made for the mainstream while green day wasn't always a mainstream band and had alot of more darker,heavier songs in the past along with 2 independent records that was never released from major label...Sales has nothing to do with being bigger and prolific...Green Day can go anywhere in the world and fill up any stadium but i doubt U2 can....no any hate for U2, 80s U2 was amazing but sales don't make you better

    • @BeingFamousPodcast-dx4ze
      @BeingFamousPodcast-dx4ze  10 месяцев назад

      If sales have nothing to do with "being bigger", then what is "bigger" even defined as? Also, I never said sales made U2 better. Even though, I do believe U2 to be the much better band, and more influential. Just my opinion. I would argue album sales, makes them "bigger." Currently, U2 has sold out their Las Vegas residency. I can't think of many "rock" bands today, that can sell out stadiums. I can only think of a few bands, U2, The Rolling Stones and maybe Coldplay. @@andriyyurchyna8195

"Boy", "War", "The Joshua Tree", "Achtung Baby"... go watch the Red Rocks gig from 83 or U2 stealing the show from Queen in '85 at LIVE AID. you seriously have green blinkers on. U2 have been around since 1976 and still fill any stadium they choose. @@andriyyurchyna8195
