Clutch makes a USB type C version as well, but so when you buy it make sure you check if you are buying the lightning or type C

I’ve had the Tau2 for a couple of weeks. I like it so far. I keep a flat clutch style charger (tntor brand) in my Alpaka hub pouch if I’m out and about. The Tau is great when I’m in a hurry and forget to grab my pouch. It’s come in handy several times when my husband and I go to the gym and he forgot to charge his earbuds.

old power bank has the key ring facing the correct way and had a better charger. why would I upgrade?

Does it meet the PD charging spec? I have a Pixel 6A that doesn't always like being plugged into a sub-PD (12 Amp) powerbank.

Sometimes I feel like companies create a problem so they can sell their product. Honestly this entire rig looks so flimsy... The wall mount with the cable dragging down from it, the plastic exterior that's gonna get scratched up by whichever keys they're attached to, the bulk of the charger that can't even charge more than one device enough to last a few hours. Don't get me wrong, I love Rolling Square's cables, but this Tau thing was - in my opinion - a miss for them. I would rather get an Anker 5000mah than this.

Just throwing a different perspective there. I think companies make products for typical users, in this case it's not you.
When I found this, I ordered Tau immediately. I drive a car, mostly around the city, have my car and house keys on all the time. More often than not I find either my earphones or phone out of battery.
With tau, I don't have to worry about charging my powerbank or keeping it with me while going out. I can't walk around with a huge powerbank in my pocket, so this one's just the right size.
It also helped me get over the habit of losing my keys because I now have a fixed port to always hang them. For me, it's a God sent device.

@@firstworldorder6072 alright, that's definitely a view I didn't think about at first hahaha I guess for people whose EDC isn't pocket exclusive (like slings or backpack wearers) there are better options out there. On second thought it's nice that this product exists for other people
