    if budget isn't an issue, then milwaukee. but as a previous commentator said, Dewalt has much better deals overall. however, nothing stops a person from having both.

    The 2ah realistically for a drill or impact driver has never been a problem for me. Even the high output 2ah is fine for a modern mid torque impact wrench. Only thing you gain with bigger batteries is more runtime and more weight at the bottom of the tool.
    Personally i ended up in the milwaukee m12 line because the performance is shockingly similar and the compact, lightweight batteries that fit in the grip will always reign supreme as far as im concerned. I do also own m18 and ryobi 18v and i find myself reaching for my m12s most the time

      Hey , thanks for watching, im learning more from these comments everytime.. So your saying the m12 will hold up sgainst the M18? May i ask what kind of work are you into? I would love to do a video on the m12 vs m18. What model M12 do you have?

    • @james2042
      @james2042 8 месяцев назад +1

      @FarmnFixins I do diy and light handyman work as a side gig. The m12s I have are the fuel drill, fuel impact driver, fuel surge impact, and fuel 3/8th impact wrench, and compact reciprocating saw. I'd get a 3/8th ratchet if they weren't so damn expensive lol
      The biggest issue with the m12s for heavy use is once the batteries get under half there's a notable power dip in the higher output tools like impacts. For me this is a non issue because I don't burn through batteries fast enough. The m12s are focused more on like the electrician or plumber or tradesman who isn't beating on their tools all day, just need something small, light, and packs enough of a punch to compete with the big boys when they do need it.
      The m18s are certainly way heavier duty and expensive than really anything I really need. I have their fuel hammer drill and tire pump and if I ever need a big saw then maybe.
      The rest of my stuff is ryobi, the 18v line from them takes care of just about every other need I have, from saws to lawn care to cleaning equipment. I can pull the battery out of my circular saw and mow the lawn or scrub the shower it's kinda funny to think about

      long time dewalt XRP (back when it was XRP now XR) user here. I got my girl in 2008 and used it till January when I decided to give milwaukee a try. I bought the M12 fuel impact for hobby projects and working on furnaces (I'm a Journeyman Gasfitter FYI) and I love how neat and compact the M12. It's honestly a game changer for me. I like the M12 fuel impact that much i got the Extended Reach Box Ratchet. That being said I like dewalt and milwaukee are both great buys. I mainly went with milwaukke this time to give them a try and it helps that my company said they wanted to buy my m18 fuel sawzall , m18 fuel impact and m18 fuel drill. They also bought me a bunch of packout stuff which i have installed in my service truck now.

      This is how i got into milwaukee as well, company wanted to get good tools and outfitted my truck and I never looked back ever since. I have started looking into other brands from the viewers of this channel and the results were not what expected. I started finding features in alternate brands that had something to love about. You should watch my recent video on FLEX vs Ridged. I was blown away when I got into the FLEX brand ruclips.net/video/zzL8H3-0_bo/видео.htmlsi=lqEeyypsYkwtd639 .

      @@homesteadgarage For the Holidays, HD offers tool deals that run through the end of January 2024. And part of the deal is you buy a tool kit you get 2 free bare tools. That was what Ridgid was offering too.
      So if you bought the kit in store for $379, you got your selection of a bunch of Ridgid tool to select from as your “2 free tools”. But here’s what started happening. The price of the kit started dropping at most stores if they had a bunch of them in stock. First, they dropped to $359, then $340. But I was up at a HD store in Vermont back in January and I saw it all the way down to $304. So I bought it for that price and selected 2 of the $189 free tools because that deal was also still valid. I selected 2 of the blowers. I then walked right back in to the customer service desk and returned the blowers, and was refunded about $169. So my final cost for the Ridgid kit with the hard case and 2 Max Output batteries (1, 4AH & 1, 6AH), the high torque hammer drill and the 4 mode impact driver was $135.
      This is what is commonly know as “The Hack”. It’s completely legal and Home Depot allows it. So between the $304 clearance price and the 2 free tools, I got the entire kit for $135. I have the receipt to prove it.
      Since the holiday promotion has ended for the 2 free tools, I don’t think the hack for this 2 tool kit is available any longer, but it was an amazing deal while it lasted.

    Dewalt has better deals on tools and batteries for a much better price. Just got a cordless hammer drill for 200$ at Lowe’s with 2 free power stack batteries. Ran that thing all week and love it. The fact that dewalt gives a small battery with a large one is nice so you don’t need to wear that extra weight all day for a battery that should last you till lunch or all day. Just hate the yellow

    I liked your review / comparison until you kept comparing knock off amazon brands to harbor freight. Have you ever used any bauer or hercules tools? They definitely aren't as good as milwaukee or dewalt, I cannot deny that - but they also aren't complete knock off's and aren't as bad as these cheap chinese tools that are on amazon.
