Grew up in and around Croydon (in the days of the Whitgift Centre and the Cartoon) and have an affection for it still even though I've lived happily in Brighton now for much longer (I don't follow football 😁). I was so rooting for Croydon to get City Status - it was far more deserving. It's heartening to see this channel and the people taking part.
Because the tories lost Croydon and then let the council go bankrupt leaving business owners hung out to dry.
It’s central funding from government that has done for Croydon.

Great stuff!
Westfield = gentrification. Seems to be that the area has purposefully been neglected to facilitate the urban redevelopment of the future - TOD (transit oriented design aka 15-minute city). Not sure if ULEZ extends this far but that assists in limiting the freedom of movement of the ordinary person. Station refurbishment and the low property prices are good indicators. These 'conspiracies' are generations in the making. Got to house all those 'refugees' and 'asylum seekers' somewhere, I suppose.
Actually I think we need to get rid of all these chronically online conspiracy theory obsessive dog whistlers in Croydon.
Glad you liked the video. ULEZ does extend out to Croydon, we plan to interview some people protesting the issue in the future. Interestingly, Croydon was so bankrupt they wanted to join various other boroughs initiating legal action against ULEZ but they couldn't afford it.
