    Lyrics:
I am just a poor boy
    Though my story's seldom told
    I have squandered my resistance
For a pocket full of mumbles, such are promises
    All lies and jests
Still a man hears what he wants to hear
    And disregards the rest
When I left my home and my family
I was no more than a boy
    In the company of strangers
In the quiet of the railway station
    Running scared,
Laying low, seeking out the poorer quarters
    Where the ragged people go
    Looking for the places
    Only they would know
Lie la lie, lie la la la lie lie
Lie la lie, lie la la la la lie la la lie

Teary eyes again listening this song, I remembered I was a young man living in a small place and there was a turntable with a 45 dish of this song and I have played over and over many times as a small pleasure for a young man without any bright future on the horizon; now over 70 this song is still gave me a lot of emotions.

I grew up with you. I studied collegiate with you. I have never cared for covers; but when people only can do so, I choose things not from S&G, but from S. I am more a fan of your "music for sake of music" ideology. I was named your same name. I changed it. And I will never forget how much you have affected my life, and that of my parents. I am more of a fan of where you went after G.
Thank you Paul. You don't need Art, at all. You ARE art.
My grandfather was art. And I was Paul.
And labels are nothing. We are music. You are carried forth, good sir.

Classic song and musician, I grew up in this era, and wondered why there seemingly is a shortage of quality in today’s music. Well thanks to the internet , I have found that there is an abundance of great young talent all over the world, some amazing very young children playing complicated instruments with stunning skills, and super vocals. I have concluded that the music industry may be the cause of lack of quality, as they now choose to manufacture and market what we get to see, not necessarily the best.

The first vinyl album I bought as a young adolescent in 1970 was Bridge Over Troubled Water and I played the album over and over again, later buying the cassette, then the CD and now it's also in my desktop catalog in .flac format. I never get tired of listening to the album and in particular listening to The Boxer. Absolutely wonderful and Paul Simon's solo rendition has simply mellowed with age but remains as powerful as ever. An incredible talent!

Thank You Simon and Garfunkel for this beautiful song and the many other peaceful songs you gave us. In the end times, it's nice to have you to comfort us the living who suffer so many indignities and so much destruction around us. May God bless you for your gifts to humanity,. I wish so much I could meet you and talk to you my brother. See ya in the next life, in the kingdom of God.
