Wow it’s really starting to hit me that Conan isn’t going to be on. I have been watching him since he started. He is by far my favorite night show host and always will be.

Yup. I love this show, especially because of how good they are at letting the guests be funny/entertaining on their own. Not interrupting them every few seconds.
@jim Moore I’m not sure you can really compare them, they’re styles and just who they are are very different. Conan may not be as good as Carson, but Carson is also not as good as Conan

It took me a while to realize he was saying “buffets” and not “butt phase”. Patton Oswalt is a hilarious gem with heart. So glad he was one of the final guests.
I can't be the only one who feels the palpable regret that Conan won't be doing this show no more, now that the things are somewhat back to normal. We love you Conan!

The Walker Texas Ranger lever awakened my humor consciousness. I remember watching that skit for the first time as an awkward and lonely kid, and immediately understanding what "funny" was. It finally clicked. Conan is an institution, and I can't thank him enough for helping me grow as a human and cope with the absurdity of all of it through humor.

For the first few years when I'd hear Patton being introduced I would think where is the other guy until I realized he was only the comedy duo of Pat and Oswald in my head
Patton has such a soothing voice when he talks. Like when in play minecraft storymode, he voiced jessie. Man it was relaxing the whole playthrough.

I can’t be the only one that thinks Michael Scott’s character is loosely based on Conan’s Shenanigans 😂 his wit when it comes to the most ridiculous things and his overall dynamic with Team Coco staff. 14:00 for example is just so spot on with something Michael would do at the office to get his way 🤣🤣 I’m sure Conan is just as loved by his employees!!

I'm probably in the minority here, but I'll miss the interviews without an audience. Felt less like a performance and more conversational. Not to say that I didn't enjoy this...
He has very few shows left, so you'll miss conans interviews in general, audience or not.

Exactly! Now, the valuable interview time is wasted to please the crowd. The one on one discussion is better and is more profound cos there are no cheap laughs.

Conan is so refreshing as he doesn’t need to bad mouth people nor talk about politics to be hillarious - not a fan of comedians who need to bad mouth or throw jabs at any political party in order to have material

Not sure what Conan you've been watching, but he has done political humor since the beginning of his show. Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump, Biden, he has made jokes about all of them. Political parties deserve to be made fun of.
Well to be fair during the trump administration his entire show was just political jokes that's why I stopped watching. His podcast is excellent though. No politics, lots of funny.
@@nickc9482 sorry but Trump jokes have always been comedy gold on Conan's show and just because he became president suddenly Conan wasnt allowed to poke fun at him anymore. Trump put Conan on his blacklist. Thats why Conan had to come at him even more. And thats why the only late night show Trump ever went on was gutless Jimmy Fallon.

Just one more reason to get HBO Max when Conan leaves TBS. I loved watching Conan since he started when I was 13 years old. My dad and I used to watch him together on Friday nights, sometimes he'd let me watch during the middle of the week if we knew one of my favorite actors was coming on. I graduated from film school before the pandemic hit in hopes to someday join his crew. I'm keeping this goal alive, assuming he stays in California.
Man, I loved that Walker Texas Ranger lever bit! Conan did it like, 4 times consecutively one episode. His looks were hilarious!

Weird dark side of the moon moment as the song playing in the restaurant I’m in (McDonalds; Weird Science by Oingo Boingo) synced up almost perfectly with what the band was playing Patton on with.

Super sonic embryonic rockabilly fighter pilots has been stuck in my head for over 20 years. I was so surprised when Patton brought it up.
Patton Oswalt is one of the comedians/celebrities I have enjoyed listening to and watching over the years, but for one reason or another, I had, for some time now, began to wonder where exactly it was that I first saw him. I would rule out things that he was more or less well-known for back in the day like "King of Queens," which I did not really watch. Not too long ago, I began to suspect that it may very well have been that I first became aware of him as a guest on Conan's show in the late 90's or early 2000's, since it felt like those were some of the earliest memories I could think of involving Patton. Watching this segment and hearing about his history with Conan over the years seems to confirm my suspicions. I'm glad I got to see them here together one more time.
M.O.D.O.K. is a great show, which shouldn't have been a surprise because Patton Oswalt is fantastic. The opposite of a barn full of curly rainbow hairs
