I’ve been wanting to go back again and play a perfect game. I think that would make a cool series. Knowing what we all know now after finishing the game, i wonder just how much better would we do?

BeamierBump80 BB80 upgrade Dutch’s camp, then your own and you can get a map. It isn’t really fast traveling. You have to go home/to camp to travel one way for free. Only places you’ve been before and good luck getting back.
Before Arthur starts the final mission of chapter 6, have him go to the Aberdeen pig farm and get robbed by the incest couple. You can come back as john, and arthur's money is still behind the portrait of mother. [THIS WILL NOT WORK IF YOU KILLED THEM EARLIER IN THE GAME AS THEY DO NOT RESPAWN] so you need to start the game knowing this. I know, sucks.

@@feb_BrasilAfter 8 months worth of research I can confidently say you do not have them in Epilogue 1 but once you complete it and go into Epilogue 2 you will get them back
Simple tip. Before finishing chapter 6 spend your money on all the clothes and outfits. Make sure you have all the guns bought and upgraded. Any trinkets and stuff you have unlocked, buy them. Keep the maximum number of gold bars and nuggets, jewelery etc in your satchel to fence in the epilogue. All these things carry over
The epilogue just feels so lonely. It's like your the last man standing in a good way I guess, but the game really does make the transition from 1899 to 1904 feel like a completely different game.
Im playing it for the first time and i just don't want to finish it... I'm not ready to say goodbye to Arthur 😭 he truly is the greatest video game character of all time.
easy fix. Have 1 saved game the minute the gang reaches valentine. Another for story to finish nd play as john. Now you have 2 saved files and can go back and forth
I missed my white white arabian i got her right at the beginning of the game right after the start of chapter 2. I named her the cliche name of Ghost, was a good horse.
This is why I'm taking ALL the time I want in chapter 2 doing side missions, leveling up, hunting and whatnot. And I'm delaying Arthur's "condition" for as long as F&$%!ng possible!

Allan Gregory yes just like wait until chapter 6 and then get Arthur money gone and finish the story and once you play as John then just go to pig farm and get the money
if you're worried about the money go to Farewail Shanty, find the hut with the lock box collect the jewelery and gold nugget, then save your game, reload the game you saved (it respawns the items again) and collect them again, do this until you cant carry anymore items/go cash in at a fence then repeat the process, you're welcome
Why wouldn't you just make a separate save and finish the game on the other save? Then you could go back to chapter 3 whenever you want, and you finished the game...
If you buy a horse which I did for 1k in Saint Denis and upgraded the saddle, stirrups etc. If you rebuy the same horse in the epilogue it will have all your upgrades already assigned 👍🏻
I started the game uninterested in arthur, wanting to be John. That changed VERY quickly... First playthrough I dedicated to high honor. I have a feeling I'm gonna enjoy playing as bad arthur
I felt the same way. By the time the epilogue came around I was very disappointed to suddenly be playing as John, but at the start of the game I was wishing John was the player character. My Arthur was a good dude. RIP. I didn't want to look at any guides because of spoilers, so I wasted many hours roaming around looking for a secret way to cure his tuberculosis. I felt sure the damn travelling doctor was the key to it all!
One important thing that wasn't mentioned is the trapper pelts. If you started collecting them all to craft every clothing, saddles, etc at the trapper but didn't completed some items, the sold pelts will still be available
I just rushed through the epilogue because I wanted to do another playthrough and just wanted to see how it ended. Also want to give rockstar props for putting the epilogue in the main game and not selling it as dlc
I did the opposite, I rushed through my time as Arthur and then took months to finish the epilogue. I was surprised that it was so long, I kept expecting every mission to be the last. Didn't want it to end so I kept putting off every one. There's practically a whole other game's worth of content in the epilogue, or at least a good sized expansion pack. Sometime I'll start a new playthrough and take my time as Arthur, he was a cool dude (in my first playthrough at least). Maybe I'll make him an asshole this time.
Fun fact: if you have a low bonding level with your horse during the end of chapter 6, Arthur will pretty much just say “oh no, anyway” when his horse dies

I played through chapter 6 with the girlfriend watching.. Losing Arthur and the horse made her cry like a baby. What an absolutely great.. Great game!! Never been emotionally connected to game characters before. I was gutted to lose my gold turkaman.

I’m finally playing through this game and it’s amazing. I did notice that I lost my horse in the Epilogue, however, he actually reappeared as my main horse a few chapters into the first part of the Epilogue. Weird. He later got shot and died anyway.

I got to the beginning of Chapter 6.....and deleted it and started over! I'm dreading finishing it. I'm glad I did though. I'm in Chapter 2 and I rushed the first time. I totally missed a side mission and boy did I miss a lot of gang interactions the first time round.
What I found sad was in the satchel was Arthur's journal and it recalls everything he wrote in there from the missions you did like him writing about going hunting with Hosea it made me miss arthur more and I actually made a new game got to the point where your at valentine and now all I do is free roam and do side missions and explore

One thing I'd like to mention is that it's worth completing some set of challenges as Arthur, as purchasing complete set of Reinforced Equipments permanently increases you Health (Horseman, Sharpshooter and Weapons Expert), Stamina (Bandit, Gambler and Master Hunter) and Dead Eye attributes (Explorer, Herbalist and Survivalist). I, personally, left Horseman, Bandit and Herbalist for the Epilog as two of them requiers you to have access to Blackwater and Bandit can mess up your honor progress, depending on your plays style, and so I can level up John's attributes as well. Like Mr. Boss said, you won't keep your attribute bonus as John, but why would you play with an attribute handicap as Arthur? Have your cake and eat it too, partner!

I didn't play one single side mission before the epilogue, so i basically lost all of them. I should've watched a video like this one, but i was afraid of spoilers.
Ive started doing the first 2 parts of side missions with Arthur and leave the 3rd to John. That way he gets Beull from Hamish Sinclair, a meeting with Charlotte. Finding Marco Dragic etc I also collect all the part 1 treasure maps and keep them for John. There is plenty random gold to find as Arthur anyway. That way John has money to start with too
In the beginning when he sad "there will be spoilers" I was pretty sure that I could handle some of them but when I heard about the horse thing I just couldn't.
Yeah I was unprepared for that. Immediately after hearing it I thought maybe I could simply stable my favourite horse and swap out for a dud, but then he said you lose *all your horses*. Well, now at least I have time to say goodbye to my sweet, white Arabian “Snowflake”.
I think the game is brilliant, including losing your favourite horse, it made you feel so attached to the game and the story. Everyone who says they aren't gonna finish the game save your game on a different slot and finish it ! Embrace the story line by the end you get a attachment with John but can still play as Arthur on your other saved slot
CircleA369 also any loot, ie; sellable items at a fence. Once I got off the Geddes (sp) farm, I went straight to the fence and had $300 in stuff. I wish I had saved everything from the time Arthur was told he had TB.
I've been playing RD2 and I enjoyed hunting and fishing the most, I'll miss playing as Arthur but look forward to playing as John. This video was very helpful and gave me the information that I needed. Thanks
So far the thing everyone has said is pointless is upgrading the camp, anything with Arthur except gun upgrades. Side missions as Arthur. Thanks saved me a ton of time. I’ll just blow through the game till I’m JOHN when the upgrades and stats matter.
I think the gang would definitely be together still. But no unfortunately, once you beat up Thomas Downes, Arthur’s death is inevitable due to tuberculosis. Fucking Strauss...

John is an original character.... LOL arthur just magically appeared in rdr2. He’s a great character no doubt.... and a bad ass in the game. But John Marston is an OG put some respek on his name bitches
I don't know if this was changed by updates later, but you can fast travel at least as soon as you collapse the cabin. The fast travel map in on a work table outside. The money is particularly irriating. I kept 10 gold bars in my kit because I thought they would transfer. Clearly I misunderstood some advice I got.
I got one question. Who is this video supposed to be targeted towards? The spoiler warning will scare off anyone who haven't completed the game. And the ones who completed the game should already know this sooo....
On my second playthrough I lost my beloved Moonshine, the white Arabian I tamed back in Chapter 2. She was hopeless on cougar hunts, but in general she was my girl. And yes, I got quite choked up and teary when Moonshine died. BTW, my hunting horse for taking out cougars, bears etc. was my Turkoman, "General Grant". Personally I think that you should lose all your weapons with the exception of the weapons John uses early in Epilogue I. Clothes, too. John should have to put together his own outfits.
I started to freeroam right after the first mission in Epilogue 1, got ambushed alot, probably to prevent you from freeroaming right away, but I had a knife so after the first ambush I where I killed 4 guys I grabbed their guns and went on my way, all the way to New Austin to get Ottis Miller's revolver as this was the only gun I knew where to find, I visited Blackwater first to buy the Arabian, after that I bought some food at the Butcher as General stores were not available yet. After I got Ottis's revolver I fasttraveled back to Strawberry and rode back to Pronghorn ranch, so yes you can keep fasttraveling.
I love this game, but the one thing that really pissed me off was losing all my stuff when I went from Arthur toJohn. I spent hundreds of hours grinding for some of that stuff so frustrating.
As Arthur, I had 16K, coz I got all the available gold bars to sell for 500 each. I went to the Aberdeen Pig Farm and let them take my money and then went back as John, and got the money from behind the photo there.

If you buy a horse which I did for 1k in Saint Denis and upgraded the saddle, stirrups etc. If you rebuy the same horse in the epilogue it will have all your upgrades already assigned 👍🏻
I started the game uninterested in arthur, wanting to be John. That changed VERY quickly... First playthrough I dedicated to high honor. I have a feeling I'm gonna enjoy playing as bad arthur
I felt the same way. By the time the epilogue came around I was very disappointed to suddenly be playing as John, but at the start of the game I was wishing John was the player character. My Arthur was a good dude. RIP. I didn't want to look at any guides because of spoilers, so I wasted many hours roaming around looking for a secret way to cure his tuberculosis. I felt sure the damn travelling doctor was the key to it all!
I had minimum honor when I played as Arthur and maximum honor as John.

One important thing that wasn't mentioned is the trapper pelts. If you started collecting them all to craft every clothing, saddles, etc at the trapper but didn't completed some items, the sold pelts will still be available

I just rushed through the epilogue because I wanted to do another playthrough and just wanted to see how it ended. Also want to give rockstar props for putting the epilogue in the main game and not selling it as dlc
I did the opposite, I rushed through my time as Arthur and then took months to finish the epilogue. I was surprised that it was so long, I kept expecting every mission to be the last. Didn't want it to end so I kept putting off every one. There's practically a whole other game's worth of content in the epilogue, or at least a good sized expansion pack. Sometime I'll start a new playthrough and take my time as Arthur, he was a cool dude (in my first playthrough at least). Maybe I'll make him an asshole this time.
Fun fact: if you have a low bonding level with your horse during the end of chapter 6, Arthur will pretty much just say “oh no, anyway” when his horse dies

I played through chapter 6 with the girlfriend watching.. Losing Arthur and the horse made her cry like a baby. What an absolutely great.. Great game!! Never been emotionally connected to game characters before. I was gutted to lose my gold turkaman.

I’m finally playing through this game and it’s amazing. I did notice that I lost my horse in the Epilogue, however, he actually reappeared as my main horse a few chapters into the first part of the Epilogue. Weird. He later got shot and died anyway.

I got to the beginning of Chapter 6.....and deleted it and started over! I'm dreading finishing it. I'm glad I did though. I'm in Chapter 2 and I rushed the first time. I totally missed a side mission and boy did I miss a lot of gang interactions the first time round.

What I found sad was in the satchel was Arthur's journal and it recalls everything he wrote in there from the missions you did like him writing about going hunting with Hosea it made me miss arthur more and I actually made a new game got to the point where your at valentine and now all I do is free roam and do side missions and explore

One thing I'd like to mention is that it's worth completing some set of challenges as Arthur, as purchasing complete set of Reinforced Equipments permanently increases you Health (Horseman, Sharpshooter and Weapons Expert), Stamina (Bandit, Gambler and Master Hunter) and Dead Eye attributes (Explorer, Herbalist and Survivalist). I, personally, left Horseman, Bandit and Herbalist for the Epilog as two of them requiers you to have access to Blackwater and Bandit can mess up your honor progress, depending on your plays style, and so I can level up John's attributes as well.
Like Mr. Boss said, you won't keep your attribute bonus as John, but why would you play with an attribute handicap as Arthur?

Ive started doing the first 2 parts of side missions with Arthur and leave the 3rd to John. That way he gets Beull from Hamish Sinclair, a meeting with Charlotte. Finding Marco Dragic etc
I also collect all the part 1 treasure maps and keep them for John. There is plenty random gold to find as Arthur anyway. That way John has money to start with too
In the beginning when he sad "there will be spoilers" I was pretty sure that I could handle some of them but when I heard about the horse thing I just couldn't.

I think the game is brilliant, including losing your favourite horse, it made you feel so attached to the game and the story. Everyone who says they aren't gonna finish the game save your game on a different slot and finish it ! Embrace the story line by the end you get a attachment with John but can still play as Arthur on your other saved slot
You may loose all the money that Arthur had but any gold bars that Arthur had will transfer over to John.
CircleA369 also any loot, ie; sellable items at a fence. Once I got off the Geddes (sp) farm, I went straight to the fence and had $300 in stuff. I wish I had saved everything from the time Arthur was told he had TB.

So far the thing everyone has said is pointless is upgrading the camp, anything with Arthur except gun upgrades. Side missions as Arthur. Thanks saved me a ton of time. I’ll just blow through the game till I’m JOHN when the upgrades and stats matter.

I don't know if this was changed by updates later, but you can fast travel at least as soon as you collapse the cabin. The fast travel map in on a work table outside. The money is particularly irriating. I kept 10 gold bars in my kit because I thought they would transfer. Clearly I misunderstood some advice I got.

On my second playthrough I lost my beloved Moonshine, the white Arabian I tamed back in Chapter 2. She was hopeless on cougar hunts, but in general she was my girl. And yes, I got quite choked up and teary when Moonshine died. BTW, my hunting horse for taking out cougars, bears etc. was my Turkoman, "General Grant". Personally I think that you should lose all your weapons with the exception of the weapons John uses early in Epilogue I. Clothes, too. John should have to put together his own outfits.

I started to freeroam right after the first mission in Epilogue 1, got ambushed alot, probably to prevent you from freeroaming right away, but I had a knife so after the first ambush I where I killed 4 guys I grabbed their guns and went on my way, all the way to New Austin to get Ottis Miller's revolver as this was the only gun I knew where to find, I visited Blackwater first to buy the Arabian, after that I bought some food at the Butcher as General stores were not available yet. After I got Ottis's revolver I fasttraveled back to Strawberry and rode back to Pronghorn ranch, so yes you can keep fasttraveling.
I managed to freeroam right after the Pronghorn Ranch start and escaped from all ambushes with my knife and the rope lmao, the struggle
I love this game, but the one thing that really pissed me off was losing all my stuff when I went from Arthur toJohn. I spent hundreds of hours grinding for some of that stuff so frustrating.
So, pretty much, don't finish chapter 6.
You could swim in GTA San-Andres it was actually a features they touted back in the day. Get it straight.

As Arthur, I had 16K, coz I got all the available gold bars to sell for 500 each. I went to the Aberdeen Pig Farm and let them take my money and then went back as John, and got the money from behind the photo there.
And before that, I had around 5K anyway, so I sold that for 11.5K so I had 16.5K
