INS Vikramaditya cost $2.6 Billion INS Vikrant cost $3.4 Billion But Vikramaditya is modified carrier and Vikrant is New And also due to Made in India $3.4 Billion did not go outside
I hope that Indian Govt & Navy will consider to develop IAC-2 as a CATOBAR version of INS-Vikrant with:- (1) EMALS (2) At least a 280m long flight deck Then consider development of a 3rd Aircraft-Carrier (IAC-3) similar to IAC-2 to replace the ageing INS-Vikramaditya. India needs Mid-Size CATOBAR ACs to insure:- (1) Dominance in IOR (2) Strong presence in South-China Sea India only needs to consider development of Nuclear-powered Super-Carriers when it has an economy of $10-Trillion or above.
@Covid 21 ...There is an opportunity to experiment by using the experience gained from INS-Vikrant's construction. If India is able to use this to develop IAC-2 as a CATOBAR version of INS-Vikrant then it will greatly augment its Naval capability to dominate IOR.
@Covid 21 ...if it takes 10-years to develop IAC-2 as a CATOBAR version of INS-Vikrant then it is still beneficial for the whole Nation in long term perspectives. IAC-2 as a CATOBAR carrier won't have the same limitations that STOBAR-Carriers like INS-Vikrant, INS-Vikramadity etc. have especially when it comes to Operating fixed-wing AWACS & UAVs. STOBAR-Carrier have much greater limitation in the 21st Century where Network-centric warfare is of most importance.
@Covid 21 ....QEC doesn't operates AWACS aircraft like E-2D Hawkeye which greatly limits its ability for ISR roles. F-35Bs also have a limited range in comparison to F-35Cs.
@Covid 21 ...Rotary UAVs have range limitations in comparison to Fixed wing UAVs. The question is about the gains that can be earned from having IAC-2 as a CATOBAR version of INS-Vikrant. Indian Navy's Carrier capabilities will get greatly boosted just by operating Non-nuclear Mid-Size CATOBAR carries.
Just don't realize how nerve-racking it can be to perform this. Salute.
That was an awesome video!! Keep 'em coming. Hope the trials go well

Landed right at the edge. I don’t know if that’s evidence of the capability of pilot or stability of vikrant.

yes, also gives experience & Vikramaditya was made in 2004-2012, while Vikrant mainly built Between 2012-2020, so inflation also matters

Better have a flattop along with CATOBAR.
👍👍👍🥰🥰
why is the aircraft already rusting?
where did you see the rust?
Because it didn't receive a new paint job. It will, before commissioning.
Get some burnol
It’s on sea trials, will get a new pj before induction.
