Indian Heli-borne Drill In North Kashmir

- The Indian Army conducted a helicopter borne training and validation exercise in the higher reaches of Kashmir Valley. This was a tri-service exercise undertaken in Kashmir with the Indian Air Force, Navy & Army. The exercise was planned to validate the joint capability to insert the task force tactically behind enemy lines in an intense air defence and electronic warfare operating environment. The successful conduct of the mission validated the true spirit of jointness achieved in planning, utilisation of resources and accomplishment of laid down mission objectives as a true reflection of the tri-service ethos of the Indian Armed forces.
The heli dropped task force operated in snow clad region at heights over 9000 feet. The Heli Borne task force included troops from Infantry, The Special Forces and the MARCOS from Indian Navy. The heli drop exercise included full transportation and armed helicopters from Indian Army and Indian Air Force including the Apaches attack helicopters. Aspects related to electronic warfare were also validated.

@@rat2702 There's no giveaway of any sensitive info here! its just a drill and if the personnel felt that it would compromise the security then they wouldnt even have allowed the media over there in the first place, so stop giving the most dumbest of excuse for things that are apparent!

@Arup Ratan Mitra point is not that, it is logistics, long term planning and training that all get affected. An LCH is not an indian version of an Apache, not even by a long shot. It is like comparing an SUV with a sedan. It uses different subsystems, with different engines and of a different class in some sense. The pertinent question is when you buy something you think of everything. Do you buy a car, without thinking ? Especially when you are going for high end cars, you would look at everything from long term maintenance costs, resale value, insurance, safety etc. I can't even imagine what all goes into selecting an aerial attack platform
@@sharthakghosh970 i agree with u, mere 30 in total and just 6 for army is ridiculous...this government has done a lot better in terms of defense than the previous one but it still has a huge room of improvement to work upon, and our soldiers too are so under equipped, i just hope the new uniform brings a whole lot of a revolutionary change in that too

I'm pretty sure that you got the footage through the right channels, but still, a question, any idea about what process the Indian army follows to check such footage for classified information before releasing it to journalists.

And they are soldiers after all, they follow orders from above. No intelligence agency will spend their resources on tracking a soldier, they track people whole give the orders. Stop watching Bollywood/Hollywood, real world is different from the sets.

I think only half have longbow. It's because these helicopters can share data with each other so it was cheaper to get half with the radars and let the rest be without it.
