This has been happening in Australia and New Zealand too. The problem is the governments allow them to go loose. They are allowed to do any jobs. When I was at university in NZ, I got screwed by an Indian who came to NZ by disguising as an international student. His main purpose was to work. However, he got deported.
@MrBemnet1 He wasted five hours of my time back in 2011 when there was no smartphone. He was the captain of my badminton team and lied to me that I had a game. In the end, I had no game that day. By the way, he has all the schedule and information. He did that on purpose for fun. When I followed him recently, he hadn't graduated and currently living in India, meaning he got deported.
Same in Ireland, south americans arriving with student visa and then working full time for deliveroo and just eat with accounts rented from people that are entitled to work in Ireland. Time to start clamping on all this in both countries
To be honest mate. We the People have handed far too much power to the Government it's got far too big. If things were more localized instead of centralised then it would be easier to manage but it would mean that local people would have to take more responsible for their affairs in managing their town or portion of the city. Right now things are so spread out people are able to go unnoticed.
@NeilCWCampbell It was Labour who created the mess in the first place with Attlee and his ilk. Although, they did it naively as Attlee was very patriotic, unlike Labour members today.
This is disgraceful, deceitful and, lets face it, are we surprised? The Home Office are clearly not doing their job and should identify those individuals who are illegally taking advantage of British tax payers, British student places and send the perpertrators back to their home country.
@@kryptoniteee The place would go into the clearing house for late applicants and only if the university was informed prior to the course starting that the student in question would not be attending, by which time it may well be too late to fill the place with another suitable student.. unless the course is an online course with a flexible start date, in which csse the atudent could do the course from their own country online usually, with the proviso of any workshops the studen would need to attend on location. So, yes it matters to those British students or another genuine foregn student that could have taken up that place.
Another issue here is the agents. Agents need their 2 bucks in commission and willing to get it any cost. Applications from agents should be banned so that the visa officer is able to judge the caliber of candidates.
That doesn't work for countries that don't allow it through agents. They still contact 3rd party agents who fill out the forms and help prep for the interviews anyways.
I was in UK in 2009 .. complete my MBA and had to come back to India because they stopped HSMP visa.. I paid all my taxes and on the other had many students stayed illegals, worked illegally and get citizenship .. ridiculous system
As an Indian student who studies in the UK, I cannot do anything but apologise. Sure, I empathise with some of these people - but then again, I can understand the anger out of the British, it’s completely wrong and takes advantage of the UK immigration system. Naturally.. I’d hope this wouldn’t tarnish the outlook on Indian students, but realistically it will lol. Once in a lifetime for some dream come true and if its 7000 they come over here on well done. They got more money than me 😊. They'll go back soon enough bless em.
They also don't properly maintain records of those who have left so can't trust the data. I was a student in the UK left the UK in 2010. In 2021, after 11 years, I had to get some of my record from the UK so I applied for a freedom of information request with the home office from India and I got all my records held by the home office. I was surprised to see that they had no record of me leaving the UK in 2010 (I haven't been back to the UK since) and had even transferred by case to "removals" in 2014. That was the last record they had. So as per their data, I haven't left the UK. If I apply for a UK visa now even to be a tourist, they would refuse my application initially stating that I overstayed and lied and then I would have to present other evidence to prove I left the UK on time and didn't overstay a single day and never breached any immigration condition.
My own cousin brother applied for a UK permanent residence by submitting forged documents infront of myself and still got accepted to this country. What a shameless process.
It is insane that the Home Office have no idea who, and how many are here. This is also happening in Australia. Recently the universities here starting banning students from certain Indian states because most of them weren't showing up to class and they were using their student visas to work illegally. India now is the most populated country on earth with a large young workforce that can't find any jobs. This is going to get worse because India is going to peak at 1.7 billion people and their working age population will continue to grow for at least 2-3 decades. India, South Asia and Africa are going to see a massive wave of young workers trying to get work in wealthier countries.
India sucks. I can't even buy house there because anyone can illegally occupy my house and the court case drags for decades. Digilocker should show real estate ownership details online so that the court cases can be solved in minutes instead of decades

With the surge in the number of Indian and Nigerian students, I won't be surprised if this problem gets worse. The university sector needs to recognise that allowing this to persist will only damage its reputation. Although there are security concerns associated with a minority of Chinese students, they do not dropout at the rates that Indian/Bangladeshi/Nigerian students do (and then make a dubious claim for asylum), they do not bring all of their dependants who then take up a significant number of publicly funded resources (e.g. school places), and >95% of Chinese students return to their country once their studies finish. The solution is to encourage more students from mainland China but prevent them from accessing courses which may be of a security concern. Further to this, international student visas should only be offered to universities, not further education colleges, and the best universities and specialist higher education institutions only - say the top 75% of them. Universities are in the business of education, not selling backdoor routes into the UK.
What about the bottom 25% of universities? Without the foreign income, they'll go bankrupt and the British workers at those Universities will become unemployed.
The value of a degree vs cost has been driven down in this country for natives so the unis need income from abroad,, which they get because the overseas student are not real students, most want to bring their family and stay to work just eat. Its a massive immigration scam.
These two countries are dominant…everywhere and Philipinos are in the care job. While universities rellies on students as income, they keep attracts international students to come. If all international students were gone, most uniersities would be empty.
Well said !!! Rich asians tend to go back our motherland once we finish the course. We come to the country with full financial support to study and we try to finish the degree completely.
Many Indian students live together illegally to reduce the rent. But there is no such rule in uk. It is illegal. It should be deported. Their intention is to marry the citizen to get a green card. also working illegally. It is a regular sight that reduces the employment prospects of UK citizens

Please vote anything other than Conservative at the next election. The ineptitude is laughable at this point. ANY other party could do a better job.
It's the British government who needs all these students from abroad for money and cheap labour. Why would government allow all the students to stay for 2 years after the course on Post Study Work visa? Government wants them to stay back and find jobs. But reality is that no one gives them jobs. If government won't give option of staying back after study, no one will come to study in UK universities. But where would these universities find the funds to survive? Who will work as cheap labour? As government wants to exploit foreign students, they are doing the same in return! But clearly they have no prospects unless they get some dubious work visa arranged to stay legally on paper until they get permanent residency.
The students are not being exploited, the government wants the students to stay as it depressed wages. Depressing wages exploits British workers. The students are not the victims here, British workers are the victims.
I knew two Indian people in Edinburgh who abused their visas. They came from Telugu-speaking regions. One Indian girl works more than 20 hours per week as a student and does not go to school at all (and does not pay tuition fees). Another one works as a food delivery rider with an account bought from another Indian who has the right to work (a student visa can't register for a rider account). They both rented a room from a friend who is also Indian, without any tenancy agreement). They said they will work here until the government send them back home. Three months after stop paying tuition fee, they got a letter from home office that they should be back to India within one month.

Another issue here is the agents.
Agents need their 2 bucks in commission and willing to get it any cost.
Applications from agents should be banned so that the visa officer is able to judge the caliber of candidates.
True but they'll just get the agents to complete it on the sly, same thing the ones who actually attend do with coursework & essays
On average, the agents get about two thousand pounds for every international student they recruit.

They also don't properly maintain records of those who have left so can't trust the data. I was a student in the UK left the UK in 2010. In 2021, after 11 years, I had to get some of my record from the UK so I applied for a freedom of information request with the home office from India and I got all my records held by the home office.
Worry about immigrants creating chaos rather than worrying about people who are there to study. Mark my words UK will collapse because of immigrants.

I thought I would have enjoyed uni life (my second master degree) as I had heard British go mad at parties. I didn't have a single British in my class. Such a disappointment. All the other students were human trafficked through the uni. All had come for economical purposes. It's really, really bad. Most universities should be closed to be honest or not allowed to traffic people.
Thanks for informing others of your experience. I'm in India at the moment, and can't easily acquire a SIM card, nor open a bank account on my 5-year tourist visa until I've been in India for 182 days. I'm only allowed to be in India for 180 days each year. Britain should be as strict with foreigners as India is. Nevertheless, I love living in South Asia.
They’re okay to do these menial jobs and live in constant fear in UK rather than live comfortably in home country ? This defies the whole purpose of migrating in hope of better life.
They aren't smart enough to think that far ahead
1 million student visas since 2021
40 million holiday visas in 2019.
So student visas count for less than 1% of visitors, all are equally likely to over stay..
Same thing happens in Canada & Australia. Education has become big business globally and people are exploiting the situation
*Rishi be bringing the whole county with him* 💀
This country is a soft touch and the whole world seems to know it except our politicians..
People like this are the reason I won't be able to get my fiancé of 7 years a spouse visa next year, we planned to get married soon but the £38k crap means we have move, I'm working a back breaking job doing night shifts just to get him here.
we all know ....they all say they have political trouble in the country as they can easily seek asylum through it.
WHAT A GOVERNMENT IF THIS IF THE'RE CREATING PROBLEMS??? I PERSONALLY KNOW THAT LOTS OF PEOPLE FROM INDIA COMING ON STUDENT, WORK , TURIST VISAS AND THEY'RE NOT RETURNED OR INTENDED TO RETURN
It is irony that Britishers overstayed for 190 years in India illegally, and now, they are complaining about the same issue
Admit it. Without western technologies, education, and cultures brought by the Brits, india won't be where it is today. Heck even after all that they still poop on the street.
Every overseas student visa needs a review or auditing by UK government. Those fraudulent visas costed tax-payer a lot of money
This is about the oldest news story out there. This has been going on at massive levels for over 20 years….
There are loads of indian overstayers in Newcastle upon Tyne.. non working/cash job male indians in their late 20's/30's.. quite a few work cash jobs in the off licences.. the behaviour of some of these men is awful.. heavy drinking and shouting in the night to early morning. Aggressive behaviour when drinking, especially when asked to be quiet. Urinating in the streets and throwing litter everywhere. These single men without partners or careers live in a state of limbo for many years in overcrowded rental properties - two beds in each room of a house - so 8+ in houses liscened for 4/5. Council dont seem to be doing anything to tackle it. Makes life more unpleasant for those living & working in the area as sleep is regularly disturbed, and having to report antisocial behaviour and waste.
Wow I never knew that.... I once got assaulted by a chinese woman. And then also by an actual Indian.. or Turkish man as well.. who was hired by some chinese take away place.. and they stole my wages. Things never used to be like this. Even in my father's generation, it was never like this. Word of honor, and code of honor was true and true. Not this scammy way at all. This is disgusting... Even the previous generation and those communities would never have done the wrong thing. Not like this.
Rishi let his cousins in freely. Wake up the tories are turning the UK into India.
Even justin Trudeau is taking this issue seriously. Wtf is labour doing
My question is how did these guys clear IELTS
Cmon IELTS is easy
@@kenz8906 For a non native speaker of English..it's very difficult especially the reading section
Forgery?
@@ozelolaf4562 yeah may be
It could be forged, paid bots or even half of universities don’t ask for ielts exam.
All from India 🇮🇳 What a UK has become
No surprise that so many indians are coming in given Sunak and Braverman's allegiances.
Canadian here who feels your pain
1,900,000+ expired VISAS? "We Must Be MAD! Absolutely MAD!!!"...
Some people will apply student visa but intended to work rather than study. It’s some of the students modus. Except for genuine students. Many people do that just to get into Uk. The immigration should tighten on students visa. See to it that their parents are capable to pay their fees and upkeep in UK. Some students petitioned by their siblings to come as a students but actually working instead. Few will go to college to study for just few months but once they find work, they left their studies. It’s a stepping stone to stay in UK. Same as those tourist visas. Because the immigration does not monitor them when they arrive in Uk. Immigration officers should monitor those tourist if they have enough money to enter Uk even if they stayed with relatives and families.
First, I love the way Sky cherry picked Indians not Pakistani or African or Eastern Europeans. Second, this is not possible without corruption in the Home Office and Locally. (Acknowledgement is the first step to solve the problem)
They choose arab/africans too. Please don't defend illegal immigrants by any means. India is also being effected by Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Rohingyas as well.
I think the problem is the deportation action is not being exercised by Home Office in the way it should be.
Britain is done.
IT'S OVER
