These machines may recieve all the criticism in the world but the fact remains that they have successfully served as the back bone of the Transport arm of the Indian Air Force.
And airforce knows more than us, they fly and maintain these aircrafts and they know when they can use it and when they have to decommission it.
Accidents happen even with the most modern and sophisticated platforms but we must look at the greater picture.

Criticism? This is the most produced utility helicopter in the world and for good reason. No Blackhawk can haul or serve as long as what the Hip can and it proves you don't need modern systems to do it.

Nah, it has only crashed 3-4 times. Other crashes were of mi8
Ukraine war is an eye opener. Helis proved to be utter useless.. Especially Russian made helis have miserably failed. In the even of war breakout nobody can guess how lethal drones can be.
drones use radio for realtime targeting. One plane with EW will be distract all drones
All helis are same especially one design for transportation they are bot advised to fly in middle of combat
Because of this helicopter ourone of the best army chief died Bipin Rawat.. Rip
It wasn't the fault of this helicopter dude
