This is great. I took the time during the pandemic to shape 3 boards with my 17 year old son, now he has his "own" quiver, and his friends are really envious. The best part is that I heard him say, "Yep, I shaped them with my dad." He'll always remember that.
Seriously... Your comment just made my morning. So stoked that you and your son shared that experience. That's what it's all about. Keep it going and enjoy every minute of it!
Hey Tony! And you my friend, should get an award for persevering and making it happen for your daughter. Huge respect, and I love seeing all your father & daughter fishing and family posts.
If I built that it would have snapped in half on the way to the beach lol. Good job! Also, well said about father son projects. Gotta make sure we prioritize that because man do they grow fast
Half way to the beach is twice as good as a quarter of the way to the beach... so that would be a success if we look at it from that perspective. Thanks for the kind remarks and Liam and I had so much fun with this build. Stoked to share the experience and spread the love.
@@extrasaltvlog Can I borrow your belt sander? Just kidding. How about a mother ship with a cooler, anchor and detachable surfboard. This leads to the towable party island 🏝️ with shade and comfy chair. Sit outside and only come in for the good ones. Now if it had a small grill...

I was going to stick a Wave storm on top of an old short board.
Ideally it could knee paddle like the longboard but plane on the short board.
Heck ya! Why not? Be creative, have fun, and think outside the box. If you're near Ventura, I'm game to give it a try!
