I like many people here in the comments really wanted to have seen this thing completely lit up. Would have rather seen that then the close up 2 or 3 times there at the end.
Really wish this bar was still for sale. They did another video of this bar years ago outside on an Audi & it was amazing. Sadly they overpriced it & it didn't sell well. I'd buy one if they were still selling em.
Why did he tease us, then not show the money shot, with the ENTIRE light-bar lit up? High school girls loved to do that after winning a football game, we’d eat pizza then they’d offer a handshake while you’re dropping them off at their house at 2am.
@@warhawk3136 I agree with that somewhat, it needs to be large to allow for that circular design on the ends, which were pretty innovative and would be great on a smaller scale with other bars because of the intersection protection.
Green is primarily used to identity Fire Command staff and some states allow it for Security Vehicles. It is also used on snowplows and some agencies have it as a part of their front facing warning colors, in certain states.
Why wont you sell me the rotabeam ive been asking for years for you to sell it to me. Are you selling this bar or are they making it again? I would do anything to buy this bar from you guys. Please sell it to me.
being honest led "rotator" lightbars aren't that efficient, legit rotator lightbars are more efficient and they are brighter and let off a glare which can be seen for a long ways unlike LED
You may already be checking, but if not eBay and elightbars.org are what comes to mind for places to search/watch for this lightbar. It wasn't around for too long, so finding one may prove tuff. Best of luck and thank you for watching!😀🚒
You never demonstrated the bar with all the rotating lights in operation. Have you guys given up on RUclips because the amount of content on your channel has dropped considerably.
Some say it's ugly and stuck in the past, some say it's obnoxious but actually I have seen these in use in NYC and they are very productive. They are bright, they "pop" like old halogens and they get the job done and done well at that.
The "rotators" don't actually move. They are Whelen's proprietary Rota beam lights. Imagine the Rota beam heads as LED beacons that illuminate to mimic rotating lights of the 90s-2000s. The dead space could all be filled with more Rota beam modules and the bottom level more 500 series heads. It is bulky though, but if you need a giant bar, this is it
@@Carterthielftw_ Might be good for fire applications but not L.E. can you imagine the drag and wind resistance and the noise you would hear during a hot call or pursuit. Would be absolutely horrible

I wanted to see the whole thing lit up! Looks really big, when you can get lower profile bars.
How can you make a video on the bar, and not turn on the whole thing?!?
Because it's Stuart that's why ! He's half re_____ !
Why don't you show the entire bar lighted up?
Lit*
Love it.. Wish when I was a sheriff, we had a lot of this tech. Mostly the light bars.

Agree, the amount of light it put out was phenomenal and I love the way it looks when lights sweep as opposed to just flashing.
Review a lightbar without lighting it up?
I love seeing mirrors again. Still too many holes in the light output for my liking.
I would of liked to see this bar light all the way up the last video about it was ages ago
Lovely light bar
Needs a pair of cascade mirrors
I felt like you were addressing me directly
@@meiermotorsports no, the llightbar lol

Looks like the lightbar the SQ Police used
They couldn’t even sync the 500 heads together... common whelen, what are you thinking. You are getting down to FS levels now
This bar is years old and has been used for many demos. It can certainly be synced
Chicago Fire Department ambulances used these for a minute
Looks like a lot of wasted space to me
It's not fully populated, throughout the entire video they go over the options of this bar.
@@Carterthielftw_ I'm not talking about the 500 series. I'm talking about the overall size of the bar for the lack of upper level lighting.

How much dus light bars cost
what are green lights for?

Turn off the subtitle it blocks the lightbar. Also show the whole bar lite up.

I don’t see any point or value to this bar, too much dead space and unnecessary bulkiness.

We like the rotating products too. Like you've said, they're effective and bright at all angles.
Waste my time watching the video because you never turn it on wow come on
C'mon man....didn't even light up the whole bar...really? Thumbs down vote
Its look like the old whelen mx7000
MX7000 is Code 3... not Whelen

That thing is hideous. Way to bulky, way to much dead space in the bar. Not to mention the inevitability one of the rotators stop rotating.
