I took a class on this a couple years back and yes it's a bit fussy . Your video is so helpful because you are giving REAL tips . it's not sanitized .... love it ! thanks I'm going to be watching it again .. :)
Good luck! I started with the UTB and loved it. Then I had the bright idea to make these for the grand daughters for Christmas…I threw the first one in the trash…got through the second one and will never ever do another one lol!
Your bag is so cute. I love this little pattern - made seven or eight of them. I prefer the Pellon fusible foam - I can iron it onto the main and lining fabrics and it keeps the fabric smooth as I quilt it on my home machine. Love the quilt on your chair. I saw a way to do the binding easier on a video the other day. She sewed the bias binding on the zipper strip before the front and back are sewn on. Easier to get into the machine.
Thank you so much. I have a video that I haven't released yet and I think my binding hack is even better for my style so you are not in the ditch blind. I am going to try fusible pellon too. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Hi Mac! I’ve been bitten by the Annie Bag Bug, and I found you because of that! Just wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos, ideas and feedback on ways to do some of the bags!! Love your excitement and way of thinking about things! I wish we could sew together!!!!! We’d have FUN! Anyway, thanks for the great videos. Hope you have a blessed day! ❤
I did the bag in one afternoon, but I put the binding on the outside for a more finished look! Love it! My hubby liked it so much that now I gotta find some guy fabric to make him one!
I found that doing the by Annie free patterns were great for learning her techniques prior to making a larger project. Great job and really like your colors!
Very nice bag! I loved making it, myself. The only suggestion is to use lighter thread…you might try to match the background fabric. That dark blue really stands out.
I'm joining some ladies for a bag sewing day, and this bag is one of the bags. It was fun to watch you show us how you did, and any suggestions. Now I can get myself ready for bag day! I'm in New Zealand cold here, you stay cool and be safe!⛄🌻
So happy I just found you. I had downloaded the free pattern from ByAnnie, and then saw your video. You did a great job. I also watched some of your other videos - your colour choices are so unique and eye catching. Wish I could pick colours so well. Oh, and I totally agree about the 12wt thread. I am going to do the same when I make this bag. Thank You!!
You are absolutely adorable! I am working on this same bag for the same reasons. Wanted to start out a little simpler before tackling a bigger project. Love your bag and your encouragement!
Very helpful. Replaying your zipper strip parts over and over. Next time I make this bag these strips will need to be cut 2.5” for me to come close to the 4.75” 😳. I’d rather cut down than end up .5” too short. Thanks so much for your videos!
Please forgive if you’ve answered this a thousand times, but I’m having trouble with topstitching thread in my bobbin. What brand do you use, and where do you get it?
For me this pattern has been a big pain in the caboose! First one went in the trash. Second one is not going much better. I should have cut the pieces a little bit larger and trimmed them down after the zip went in.
Oh no. I have had projects like that too. It sounds like you figured out your problem. Thanks for sharing. I just made 2 more showing some hacks. The video will be coming in a few weeks if you want to check back
Thank you for this video! I'm still scared to tackle the bag though! I also hate when videos skip over the hard parts 🤣. I found your video while looking for a video on the Ditty Bags...the only one I can find is in Swedish! I watched them but there's one part that I just don't get.
I am so glad that you found my channel. I have more videos upcoming for bags. Which part didn't you get? Did I show it. I usually don't show the binding because it is never pretty.
Great video ! thank you for sharing. Also, did you ever consider adding a mesh pocket with a divider on the inside? Trying to figure out how this might be done.
Love the quilt on your chair of what I can see. You inspire me to try making bags again.
Thank you so much. I'm excited to share more bags soon.
I would definitely prefer using the interfacing you suggested 👍
“Yes it’s necessary!”
Lol 😂 love it!
You get me
Great 👍 job very pretty😍
Thank you so much. Stick around I have a hack video coming.
I’ve had this pattern for ever and never made the bag. Here’s hope I get one done. Thanks for the video.
They make great gifts I bet you will like it
Thank you. Your open honest approach is very reassuring as I’ve bought the pattern but been nervous to start it!
@JulesMadeThis24 I completely understand. If I did it you can do it.
Gorgeous bag. Wow, you are terrific. Love your make up too.
Thank you stay tuned I'm going to do an updated version of this bag soon.
Love your Bag. So pretty

I love this comment I try to give real tips. I have a more recent video on this about how to hack it.
Just found you and instantly subscribed! I have quilted for decades but I love and enjoy your enthusiasm and can't wait to see what you make next!
Awww thank you. Stay tuned because I'm always making something. Thanks for the support.
Great video and I love the fabric you've used!
Thanks so much for popping in.
Super cute! Gonna try that pattern before I attempt the Ultimate Travel Bag!🌸🌼🌺
That is a great plan. You will be able to knock out the UTB with ease

You make me smile, You Go Girl!! I think you are marvellous , love your enthusiasm!!
I appreciate that.
You almost had me. This video is 2 years old. You did the Ultimate Travel Bag. I had to lol at this.
I wonder what I said. But yep I'm in love with the Ultimate Travel Bag it's one of my prized possessions.

Absolutely. I'm glad I did a few smaller ones befor the Ultimate Travelers Bag. I'm going to do another ultimate travelers bag soon.

Thanks for watching I have some more coming that will have a fun twist.
It’s beautiful 😍 you did a great job. I might try . I don’t do good with zippers.
This is a great one to start with for learning zippers they are not bad at all.

Thank you. My supplies are in for the bag but I think I'm going to finish 1 more quilt to warm up before I tackle it. Let me know how yours turn out.
I want to try her A Place for Everything bag and I hope you make a video ... they're hard to find from real people :)
I've never dine the place for everything but I hear they are very popular
@@MACoutureCrafting check out the pattern :)
I love it and thanks for sharing. I too have got the pattern just to learn all those techniques! How exciting, I can’t wait. Xx
Go you. The holidays are coming and they really do make wonderful gifts.
you are amazing!
Thanks for watching.
Is beautiful thank you for your help
Thank you for watching and commenting
I have made very many and putting the binding on the zipper loop first makes it even easier!!!
I'm going to do a video about that very soon
That's the way I put the binding on the BA projects. Once I learned that, easier-peasier!!!
Nice job, enjoyed ur video! Thanks!
Thank you I'm really looking forward to more bags soon.
And I’m excited about it too, and have just bought the pattern. Another lovely video. Thanks so much! By the way, I can SEE your thread, lol, Susan x
Lol
You did a great job on that bag
I'm am so pleased with my first go around. Thank you
Thank you so much! I just didn’t get the zipper part in Annie’s video. And your video was extremely helpful😘
I am so glad you found the video helpful.
I love the Pellon fusible foam--no need to clip, spray baste, pin, or use a walking foot; and it's WAY cheaper than soft and stable!
I'm loving it to for certain things too. It's such a great find. Do you use the fusible pellon.
Yes, they offer both one- and two-sided fusible. I bought a whole bolt from Joanns when it was 60% off!
@@marilynmetz226 I might need to get a bolt too
Beautiful bag
Thank you
I love the quilting you did on the bag. Any insights on how to accomplish it would be great. Thanks in advance.
Thank you I love it too. I use 12wt thread and I mark the fabric first and used 50wt in the bobbin. Have fun

The box is by connecting threads it's their thread box
Thank you@@MACoutureCrafting

What type of quilting did you do? Very pretty.
A little straight line with 12wt. It came out cool
Please forgive if you’ve answered this a thousand times, but I’m having trouble with topstitching thread in my bobbin. What brand do you use, and where do you get it?
I'm using wonderfil 12wt with a size 14 needle.
Love your style and your video is Great! Could you tell me the name of your beautiful spools of thread? 🧵Love how you store them!
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I use connecting threads and their plastic containers to store my thread. Enjoy!
Have you videoed Daytripper 2. Oh lord I need help with this one. The zipper is horrible. 😢
I'm sorry I have not done Day tripper yet but on Facebook they have a great group of ladies that tackle all things by Annie.

What’s the dimensions of that skinny long creative grids ruler?
I think it is a 2 1/2 by 12
Great video ! thank you for sharing. Also, did you ever consider adding a mesh pocket with a divider on the inside? Trying to figure out how this might be done.
Thanks for hanging with me. A mesh pocket can be done and a divider those are really large bags
Any tips to make joining the binding easier. It looks sooo complex on her video, thx
That is the trickiest part of all her videos my suggestion is attach the binding to the zipper strip prior to sewing it onn
@@MACoutureCrafting Thank you x
So, when you’re quilting you put the lining on as well at the same time you quilt the outside? Yikes
Yes that's how her patterns come together
you waste too much time I want to see how you make the bag
You can use the seek option and fast forward to what you need.
