Great to hear the story straight from shawrry, the mystery man himself 😁 I've been following him on Instagram forever and it's so good to get a better perspective on the whole situation. Love that he's always doing his own thing and not following the same boring trends. It's a real breath of fresh air and his quality of work is second to none. Stoked to see more epic builds in the future 💪
So epic Sam is a shame that people are searching for it on social media when someone is an artist and does magic work on a car should be praised instead of being put down. #phils_offroad. what an awesome Lux
My partner and I just bought a camper trailer and are planing a trip around AUS early next year. A winch would be unreal to enable us to get to the more remote places and not have to worry about getting stuck as much. Loving the channel and all the builds you are showing.
good to hear the full story and props to shawry on the build keep up the inspo, and cauld do with a new big dirty rope dragger for the missos triton, i done a mischief on the original winch recovering a bogged v8 cruiser
I would love the new winch, as I have just started my first ever build with a 01 Nissan Patrol, Next step on my build is a bullbar, getting a winch at the same time makes sense, but money doesn’t always allow that, would be awesome to win it, the N80 is a crazy build props to him on that!
Hey Sam, love the videos! I’m 17 with an n70 hilux build on the budget. I’m looking to go hit some hard tracks but don’t have any recovery gear yet. A new winch would a be perfect.
Killer work, massive props to shawrry! I need a winch as I’m still in progress with my build. Just bought a front bar, need a winch now pre-install to avoid double handling it!
Some bloke ran a red light 2 weeks ago and wrote my car off. Need to start building my rig again from scratch. A new runva would help out big time. Love the channel mate
Loved the indepth video as always in the Sussed episodes, keep killing it Sam definitely a breath of fresh air to watch! keep it up. Just finished getting my snorkel and bullbar installed with my lift being fitted in the next 2 weeks, a winch would be great as it's one of the last things i've got to go to make my rig ready for anything.
The runva winch would help me finish off my gu patrol build and fill the hole in my razlar bull bar. And hats off to the builder of the n80 very clean build
Great Video mate. I just recently bought my first 4wd, a 2 door jk and the Runva would be the perfect addition to it as I’m in the process of building it up so would be a huge help. Cheers Sam 👍🏼
Good to see the channel coming along Sam, about that winch, I’ve just spent the last 2 months with my ute off the road fixing rust, had the plan to get a winch once it was all sorted after putting it back together I seriously got 15minutes out of the shed before getting defected so there goes any funds I had for a winch, So looks like I’m having a crack at winning this one cheers.
Love what you're doing man, keep it up. I've slowly been building my np300 up and I'm looking for a winch so this would great so i can get the confidence to hit harder tracks
A Runva would be incredible, the old Kings winch has served me well but she’s on her last legs. Definitely in need of a dependable winch for my solo trip to the High Country in January 👌
Glad this sassed n80 beast is kicking around and in good hands even better we get to see it on the channel. After writing my old nav off in a muddy bog hole 2 years ago I haven’t been off-road since. Have a sassed n70 being built and should be ready by Christmas (hopefully) and could do with a winch to help me tackle the harder tracks. (Also cause the build has drained my bank account 😅)
Have owned a stock prado for a few years but haven’t had funds to start adding any 4x4 accessories. New to 4wding so a winch would be a great help. First time I’ve seen your channel. Keep the vids coming 👏
Hey Sam this n80 is radical great to see the full in depth video I’ve come across a couple tracks now where a winch would be absolutely handy be easier than calling a mate to come get me out of the big holes that I some how get stuck in Great videos keep them up !!!
Thanks so much for this video I've been wondering about this rig for a while. Shawrry has made so many inspiring rigs and it is so sad to see authorities harass him for it.
I love to go camping by myself and a winch would be a life saver. Laterally last time I went out I was bogged for 22 hours and all I needed was a small winch out🤣
Such an unreal rig!! Love watching the SAS build videos and what’s involved. Great work with the channel mate 👍🏻 Need a new winch as my trusty Domin8tr finally packed it in after hauling myself out of a bog hole in Lal Lal VIC 😑
I would absolutely love a winch for my first car, which funny enough is a hilux! This build is inspiring and would love to get my rig out on the tracks as well in the near future! Love your videos Sam keep it up 👍
Not knowing much about Hilux’s in Australia, I have found in the states doing a SAS isn’t really that hard or expensive. I would say cutting all the IFS mounting points takes the longest. Even ditching the 4cyl and going to a V6 wasn’t that hard either, love the power increase but I see a V8 swap soon in the future. For me my rig started as a 84’ pickup standard cab 4cyl 5speed 4x4, now I own a 84-04 SR5 TRD V6 4x4 5speed pickup. I have all parts from 84-04 in my rig, all bolts right in, if something fails just order a part. Love these little compact trucks. Could really use a winch mate, mine just bite the bullet after a recovery.
Nice vid mate. Currently building my N80 and the missus would really appreciate me having a winch for the next high country trip as she wasn’t to stoked about me not having one last time we were up there!!
Absolutely love the look of this beast! Love a good looking lux, my 2011 lux is still definitely a project and a half, done everything from engine rebuild to lift kits and everything myself, the one thing that would top it off is a new runva because that's the only thing it doesn't have as of yet... love the rig and keep it up Sam! Been following ya since the days of wheeling with shauno and the boys 🤙
Amazing Edit in the Intro, My BT-50 would improve immensely with a Winch on board. She loves going bush but I'm a bit apprehensive to attempt too much as she is still pretty stock
Love this n80 and everything Shawrry does! As for the winch, I have an old kings dominator at the moment and it has no free spool plus barely works, so a new winch would be mint
A brand new winch would be sick as everyone of my friends have one and I’m the only one with no winch and I’m known to getting stuck all the time so a winch would be a nice addition to my hilux surf😂
I want a new winch because the one I have is about 15 year old and has been letting me down of late not working when I need it. Great job on the hilux. What an epic build
My Mrs bought herself a 4x4 Delica from SA for 4WD and Camping. On the way home, the timing chain broke and ceased the engine. It's still awaiting repairs at Wagga. She has a bar but no winch. I figure a new winch might raise her spirits a little as it was a pretty big blow.
A brand new winch would be sick but it wouldn't be for me as I've got one but it would actually for the old man to keep up and do some more serious tracks 🤙🤙keep up the terrific content Sam!
Sammy! Just ordered my bullbar for my 22 GSR Triton Doing a full blackout build, love a winch to put in so I can tackle my local the Glass House Mountains
Looks beaut as! Runva winches have always been great systems an absolutely paramount to taking it to the next level of 4x4ing is having that safe, reliable backup👍
Good honest boys! Love the hardcore offroad rig content. Cool to see him sending the Rubi also. Would love that winch to drag my thic boi 6.6 LBZ outta the spice soup 🤝
I’d love to have the winch to put on my Luxy to help me keep up with my mates because I’m certainly limited to what I can do at the moment and I hate holding my mates back🤙 Love the vids Sam keep them coming!!
Why I desperately need a winch: my mates and I ventured into the watagans last weekend. Myself in an n80 Hilux and another mate in his 21 Triton gsr. We drove down Harris Fire trail, which ended up being extremely slushy, full of big holes, slippery climbs and deeply rutted terrain. We were managing each obstacle as it came, only to reach a ln intense muddy/rocky hill climb which none of us could getup. We gave up and turned around (we had only travelled 2km, in 4hrs). As we returned we realised that it would be impossible to tackle some of the things we came down and soon realised we were completely stuck. Without a winch we had no chance, and neither of us had one. I scanned through my UHF to seek help. No one was around. I pressed the SOS button in my car. No one responded. We tried called 000, we were so deep in the forest, emergency services were impossible to reach. We decided to send a couple of mates for a walk to the nearest camp site which was a 3hr walk in the hope of obtaining help from a rig with a winch. It was completely dark now. The guys that remained with the cars, realised they need to start setting up camp in the middle of this slushy, muddy track and we could not find any flat ground for a comfortable camp. The boys who had ventured off to the nearest camp site, soon responded on a handheld UHF I'd given them, stating that emergency services were enroute (6hrs since they had left to get help). The SES soon arrived. They had a winch. The recovery operation commenced. Each vehicle was winched through the obstacle until we eventually got to the final muddy, slushy, rutted hill climb. SES snapped their winch rope. It was game over. (the time was 2am. SES reached out for help, no one came to their aid. They abandoned their vehicle that night and advised us they would come for their vehicle in the morning, but advised us it was too dangerous to get our vehicle back up the last obstacle. We began setting up camp again, and slept in basically foot deep in mud. The following morning the SES returned and eventually recovered their vehicle with another vehicle that had a winch. However they refused to assist us given the risk involved in the recovery. Instead they gave us a lift back to campsite to see if any capable rigs with winches could help. We soon found three amazing lads, all with winches, to return back to our vehicle, and eventually after a lot of strategy, and extended pulls with the winch we successfully got both vehicles out. In hindsight, having a winch on my vehicle would have eliminated the chaos, got both me and my mate out and we could have enjoyed a nice comfy camp that night. @samyoung. I need that winch bro!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
My wife and I would love a winch for our old cruiser. We have a few trips planned next year including Cape, finke, and vic high! Definitely going to be needing one and don’t own one currently!!!
Sammmy mateeeee! What a Car and what an edit 💪🏼 Iv recent just purchased a Toyota recovery Vehicle ( Patrol) She’s got the bare minimum and she could definitely use a winch, with future plans to be a camera car, camera cars are always in front sending it first so I can assure you she would be put to good use!
Mate a new winch would be amazing. I’ve got the old x9 supawinch (I think a factory speced option on the Toyotas back in the day) so a 21 year old thing, she sure has seen better days and a new one would give me some reliability!
great video! Keep the content up I would love a new winch because I’ve been setting up my 150 Parado to do a lap of Australia have been contemplating getting one however a runva could fit in the budget
What a credit to the bloke, built an amazing rig. Maybe RMS should be more concerned with the shit boxes out there with the entire kings catalog attached to their roof picking up 2 wheels on every roundabout.
Thought all the electronics would cause headaches throughout a modern day sas. In search for a winch to let my mates have a break from the 1am calls for help
Just got my first ever fourby ,n70. I pretty much moved half way across the world to live a 4wheeling life 😂. So i think a winch for a newbie will come in very handy 😀😀.
What an awesome rig! I'd love to get a winch on my old girl 90 series Prado! It would make so much difference tackling the tougher tracks especially cos I do a lot of solo trips and I find a lot of the time I take the chicken track or even worse have to turn back cos I'm not confident without thale backup of a winch. It's been on my list for ages but with the outlay it hasn't quite happened yet. Love your work Sam and now subbed 👍👌🤟😎
Loving that N80, pretty keen on a new winch for my Ford Ranger as I’ve only got a bumper, having a winch will give me the kick in the butt I need to buy a winch bar and get started on my touring trips 🤙🏼 Cheers legend
Love the video Sam keep up the great content, I would love to have a winch on my dmax, so I do more harder track and not worry about getting stuck and can't get out.
Props to the Bloke who made it, she’s one hell of a rig.
Shawrry is a true master !
It’s neat too, not over done
Great to hear the story straight from shawrry, the mystery man himself 😁 I've been following him on Instagram forever and it's so good to get a better perspective on the whole situation. Love that he's always doing his own thing and not following the same boring trends. It's a real breath of fresh air and his quality of work is second to none. Does what he wants, his own way - Inspirational!
@@SamYoung4x4 go your own way? Dmax next?
I’m sure he has herd it plenty of times but shawry you should be very proud of what you have done good job mate
Bloody oath he should be 🔥
So epic Sam is a shame that people are searching for it on social media when someone is an artist and does magic work on a car should be praised instead of being put down.
#phils_offroad. what an awesome Lux
It's devastating mate 🥲
I've been upgrading all my suspension for my gu patrol and I love a new winch to help me feel fully confident in testing it all out to its limits
My partner and I just bought a camper trailer and are planing a trip around AUS early next year. A winch would be unreal to enable us to get to the more remote places and not have to worry about getting stuck as much.
Loving the channel and all the builds you are showing.
good to hear the full story and props to shawry on the build keep up the inspo, and cauld do with a new big dirty rope dragger for the missos triton, i done a mischief on the original winch recovering a bogged v8 cruiser
hahaha rope dragger, love it
I've just bought my first car and a winch will boost this build so much and will mean even more to me as I'm not even an apprentice
How good was this boys!
I always wondered where this thing vanished to, couldn’t believe he let it go at the time.
Thanks for sharing!
Good to see Shawry the goat of custom fab behind the wheel again
What a awesome rig , round of a applause 👏 to the Legend Taylor for his genius build & to have him wheeling years later . Well done mate 👍
I would love the new winch, as I have just started my first ever build with a 01 Nissan Patrol, Next step on my build is a bullbar, getting a winch at the same time makes sense, but money doesn’t always allow that, would be awesome to win it, the N80 is a crazy build props to him on that!

Would be keen to see an episode with his stout! Loving the content, keep it coming!!
Absolute weapon of a build, been following Shawrrys builds for a while and he’s a man of magic in the shed. Awesome camera car for Sam now 🤌🏽
Would be awesome to have a new runva on my dirty Gq, got the perfect spot for it on the bull bar. Such a sik luxxy
Sam. Your video editor is sick. Love love love the style of the edits and music. Keep it going
So Sick! Such a cool idea to solid axle swap an n80!
Just bought a chopped 1hdt 80 series and can't wait to put a winch on to get me out of sticky situations.
Some bloke ran a red light 2 weeks ago and wrote my car off. Need to start building my rig again from scratch. A new runva would help out big time. Love the channel mate

Cannot wait to see this channel grow over time😊
Great to see you doing what you love and making it happen for yourself Sam.
i would love a new winch for my prado! Just starting to go 4x4 and can wait to start adventuring more. A new winch would help massively in this!
Because I’m still running a ridge Ryder that I bought from supercheap in 2011, just snapped the rope on it too. Perfect time for an upgrade
Sick video, nice to finally have some clarity to all the rumours that surround the car, love his work and loved the 105 he built
I’ve recently gone from fastboi to 4x4 guy so I’m slowly learning what’s what, winning a winch would take out the guesswork for me! Cheers
Keep it up Sambo, loving the vids mate! I will need a winch to get me through the upcoming wet and muddy season in the NT!
Feel bad for shawry but props to him building the big girl. Weapon
what a insane build! deffenatly good to see people still pushing the SAS limits.
B great to have a winch that works well and reliable on the tracks. Love the build of the hilux. Well done🤙
I’m going to ask a stupid question. 3inch straight through exhaust would mean dpf delete correct ?
Love what you're doing man, keep it up. I've slowly been building my np300 up and I'm looking for a winch so this would great so i can get the confidence to hit harder tracks
A Runva would be incredible, the old Kings winch has served me well but she’s on her last legs. Definitely in need of a dependable winch for my solo trip to the High Country in January 👌

These car edits are getting too good 🥵 I can't handle it!
Have owned a stock prado for a few years but haven’t had funds to start adding any 4x4 accessories. New to 4wding so a winch would be a great help. First time I’ve seen your channel. Keep the vids coming 👏

Apart from the great content, I love the editing / graphics!! 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤙🏼
Such an unreal rig!! Love watching the SAS build videos and what’s involved. Great work with the channel mate 👍🏻

I would absolutely love a winch for my first car, which funny enough is a hilux! This build is inspiring and would love to get my rig out on the tracks as well in the near future! Love your videos Sam keep it up 👍
Be awesome to have a winch to go further in the tracks and explore more with mates 👍
Seems like a pretty good idea to me!
I am 17 and have a very stock 80 series and a winch would help me get out there and tackle the harder tracks
It would make a perfect addition to my build for my cape trip next year hopefully
Watching shawrry build this on his Insta page was so sick has to be the best n80 out there!
Seen this down Chapman the other day good to see it used 🙌👌
Driven, not hidden ✌
A new winch would be sick for solo bush bashing or more exploring with the boys
Runva would be sweet on the old girl and def help getting to more locations without the stress (120 series Prado setup for camping trips)
Less stress is the best!
Not knowing much about Hilux’s in Australia, I have found in the states doing a SAS isn’t really that hard or expensive. I would say cutting all the IFS mounting points takes the longest. Can’t spell mad scientist without Taylor 💙💙💙
Love the Hilux build! New winch will help me out with the harder tracks
What a great looking rig definitely wasn't expecting to see one SASD this soon
Nice vid mate. Currently building my N80 and the missus would really appreciate me having a winch for the next high country trip as she wasn’t to stoked about me not having one last time we were up there!!
I need a new winch so I can hit the Coffs Harbour tracks reliable my last one broke halfway through the Coffs track
Love this n80 and everything Shawrry does! As for the winch, I have an old kings dominator at the moment and it has no free spool plus barely works, so a new winch would be mint
Love this kinda stuff great for ideas on your own rig, maybe not as great as this but we can dream. Cheers for the content Sam 🤙
A brand new winch would be sick as everyone of my friends have one and I’m the only one with no winch and I’m known to getting stuck all the time so a winch would be a nice addition to my hilux surf😂
What a rig. I feel sorry for Shawrry for what he went through. Hopefully we can see more unique builds.
Great vid! I got bogged collecting fire wood recently in my near as new 150 and a winch would have saved a lot of time and effort.
I want a new winch because the one I have is about 15 year old and has been letting me down of late not working when I need it.
Great job on the hilux. What an epic build
Just bought an n70 and wanna hit the bigger tracks and the winch would be perfect. Love the rig
Loved the video sam, keep it up with these posts 💪
A brand new winch would be sick but it wouldn't be for me as I've got one but it would actually for the old man to keep up and do some more serious tracks 🤙🤙keep up the terrific content Sam!
“Let’s get ready to RUNVA!!!” 🤙🏼Cool vid Sam🤙🏼
Your a legend love your work keep up the awesome job 👍🏼🤙🏼
Thanks mate
Sammy!
Just ordered my bullbar for my 22 GSR Triton
Doing a full blackout build, love a winch to put in so I can tackle my local the Glass House Mountains
Mean show brother..need it cos I love 4xd but my mates are always busy so doing it solo is a bit narly so it would be awesome to have a winch
Runva winchs are the bomb! Im currently building up a V6 RC Holden Colorado as a tough tourer and a runva would be perfect to get me out of trouble
Don’t mind me guys, I’m just here to win a winch.
Love ya work Sam!.

Awesome vid mate 🤙🏼 the winch would be great as I've just purchased myself a new bull bar and would tie in perfectly to it
My wife and I would love a winch for our old cruiser. We have a few trips planned next year including Cape, finke, and vic high!
Definitely going to be needing one and don’t own one currently!!!
That’s one nice Hilux, I done need a new winch as I have never had one so just to have a winch would be awesome.
Good luck everyone
New subscriber mate! Sick video, giving my some inspiration to sas my 03 lux
Sambo, long time watcher new time subscriber…. Next step for my new build is a winch, a runva is the brand I’m looking into !
"Toyota recovery vehicle" should render you ineligible to win the winch!!! Just kidding :p
The next mod should be putting the spare wheel carrier back on the rear bar
Mate a new winch would be amazing. I’ve got the old x9 supawinch (I think a factory speced option on the Toyotas back in the day) so a 21 year old thing, she sure has seen better days and a new one would give me some reliability!
great video! Keep the content up I would love a new winch because I’ve been setting up my 150 Parado to do a lap of Australia have been contemplating getting one however a runva could fit in the budget
It'll definitely help with the lap!!
What a credit to the bloke, built an amazing rig. Maybe RMS should be more concerned with the shit boxes out there with the entire kings catalog attached to their roof picking up 2 wheels on every roundabout.
A new Runva winch would be the perfect addition to my new Nav to allow this 4x4 newbie to get home!
Thought all the electronics would cause headaches throughout a modern day sas. In search for a winch to let my mates have a break from the 1am calls for help
My old Pajero hasn't got a winch yet, a Runva winch would mount straight in. That is one nice Hilux, keep up the great content 👍
Appreciate it mate :D
Just got my first ever fourby ,n70. I pretty much moved half way across the world to live a 4wheeling life 😂. So i think a winch for a newbie will come in very handy 😀😀.
What an awesome rig!
I'd love to get a winch on my old girl 90 series Prado! Love your work Sam and now subbed 👍👌🤟😎
Loving that N80, pretty keen on a new winch for my Ford Ranger as I’ve only got a bumper, having a winch will give me the kick in the butt I need to buy a winch bar and get started on my touring trips 🤙🏼
Cheers legend
Love the video Sam keep up the great content, I would love to have a winch on my dmax, so I do more harder track and not worry about getting stuck and can't get out.
