You should have seen the look on Cocoa's face; when she knew, I was having a stroke. I knew there was trouble. Sadly, months after she passed away. She meant the world to me. RIP Miss Cocoa
I had, I called My Cancer Cat. He appeared just when I discovered the mass. We were strangers, he came to me as I sat on the steps, I was sad, outside my kitchen door, letting me pet him, he would sit with me for hours each day. I tried to feed him, but he wouldn't eat. Several days passed, still there, when I went outside, but still wouldn't eat. I felt anxious! Like??? Autopsy proved cancer. Back home my friend went out to attempt feeding. He ate like he was starved. I petted him next day, took pictures & then he was gone. I'll never forget 'My Cancer Cat'. He comforted me. *I'm Elaine *

I've always known cats are amazing ,magical and enchanting creatures.
Which is why I adore them.
Purring is a kind of superpower. No matter how down, angry, or distressed you are, a cat purring against you will bring you calmness every time.

Studies have shown that purring has amazing healing properties and can work to help people fight infections, heal broken bones faster, and even resist and recover from normally fatal diseases. There is even evidence that a cats purr can help reduce the spread of cancer and it is believed it may actually cure cancer if a person is exposed to purring non stop.
I totally agree! To me, a cat's purr is one of the most restful, soothing sounds there is. The only two others that come close are (a) the sound of the ocean, and (b) the sound of falling rain.

From my understanding, because cats are light sleepers, when you’re in a really deep sleep they think you’re dead lol. When you are waking up they are just happy to see you’re alive
The feeling I get is running pointy feet and 15 lbs across my stomach! My wakings are not pleasant.
The most amazing was how the cat tracked her family from New York to Denver.
But them landing on their feet is 2nd most amazing.

A good video but you forgot the cats' tapetum lucidum which increases their night vision by a considerable margin.
One of our cats was able to meet me at the door when I came home from work. So what's special about that? He couldn't predict the time because I worked strange and highly variable hours. We lived on the 14th floor and I did not drive to work so he did not recognise the engine sound, the lift was operating at all hours of the day and I generally was silent when I came home. It would take me abut 30 seconds to get from the lift to our front door but he was always there. My wife would often remark that the cat woke up, got off her lap and went straight to the front door some two or three minutes before I put my key in the lock so I was still in the lift. I always had to open the door carefully because he was there to greet me. But how did he know?
I never found out - and he wasn't telling! 🤔

Your flat and the entrance you used faced the same direction. He could smell you approaching the building.
No, they hear & smell you. my cat does that when she's in the mood.
Cats still have a higher range of hearing even if being silent.

My cat consistently tracks me when I use the bathroom. Then she rakes her claws down the door, like in a horror movie! I have to let her in so she can inspect the room, then she waits outside the door for me. Occasionally, our roommate opens his door right behind her & gets hissed at for his trouble. It's all part of our normal routine, lol. 😂

Tracking. It’s amazing how a cat can track its owner so many miles away.
It's true that cats mostly always land on their feet but if it's a hard surface the cat is going to hurt his or herself, so make sure if your cat does fall from a high place they have something really soft and comfortable to land on.
Damn, that one about the hospital cat spooked me. If I was in a hospital I'd be terrified to see a cat like that come in . . .
When I visit my family, it's almost like the cats know the sound of my car, and when I shut my car door, and lock the door, it sets off my horn for a double beep.
They'll jump on the table, poke their head through the curtain, see it's me, and run to the door.
Oscar was like angel of death coming to comfort people, this cat in another life must have been something amazing.
I think the most amazing ability is their sense of tracking.
Ye-up my friend's cat can chase me down with his ribbon fishing pole toy no matter where I am...😁
I don't think I had really understood the extent of cats' ability to track their human before this video. I live in a house next door to my parents, and I am often back and forth between the houses. My cat Roy frequently seems to KNOW which house I am in, and when. When he was a few years younger I'd be upstairs next door chatting with my mom and Roy would climb up to the eave to mew at me through the window. Thankfully these days he has learned his lesson about climbing up that high but he does know when to hang around the back deck or the gate between our houses to catch me as soon as possible once I head back home.
I depend on my cats hearing. If she sits up I know to check the door. If she goes under the bed, I prepare for trouble.
🌸 same in the past, when my pet cat starts growling in a peculiar way there is human intruder, he will run to each window to try to see them
If it’s dog, he goes low to ground & moan in different way. If it’s a cat he’s by door slowly wagging his tail and growing with meows lol
I can’t let him out for fights 🤣😂 although he thinks he is the lion that guards the property.
Just once at beach house, entire family & relatives were there, my uncle is quite strict and staunch Catholic so he didn’t say anything about his issues but randomly moved out of his bedroom & into empty one. My other cousins quickly took his room but that night the lads ran out crying that they say strange person in the room. My cat growled in the most ferocious manner and clawed the ground outside door so had to let him in. He violently then tried attacking something in the room that I couldn’t see. My hairs were on end & that night it came to my room once again he pounced towards it & I watched it walked through the door.
My beautiful brave baby is with my mom. While my mom was passing peacefully she called Alexander our pet by name & I heard his meows. He came to collect my mom, my brother was there because she called him by name also. I was later comforted by this knowing I can see them. Sorry for the TMI 🕊

One that wasn't exactly mentioned, but is connected to jumping. Exactly how they land. Anyone who has owned a cat and watched it jump onto a cluttered area will know what I am talking about.
I have watched one of my cats jump onto a cluttered table from the floor, and watching how quickly they rearrange their feet at the last second is always amazing to me. Specifically since they are jumping completely blind (with no idea of what is up there).
I had a cat who could read my mind. I'm not joking! If I was feeling extremely depressed, she would holler at me and come running into the bedroom and jump on the bed, then push her nose into my face.

Purring is a cats greatest super power and one other pets can't compete with. Other than the obvious calm it brings purring has been proven to heal bones, reduce high blood pressure and more. They are worth so much!!
The most amazing thing that nobody ever mentions is that some cats can read your mind. Maybe. i'm the only one that has experienced this. Had a cat named Kiwi. I would sit quietly without any movement and think come here and sit along side of me or come here and sit on my lap or go away. Kiwi would always do exactly what i was thinking every time. Some truths are unbelievable unless you have experienced them for yourself. I adored my Kiwi. I had to give her up bc my landlord said that i could not have a cat. This happened back in 1984 and it still hurts. Hope to get another cat soon named, Zuma.- My last landlord did the same. I found a cat i named Shirley and was told "You can't have a cat" - LOVE-CATS. - > people SUCK.

I have experienced that!! When I first got my blond tabby, I would be anywhere in the house & wonder where he (Felix) was. Only seconds he would appear & meow, as if to say 'I'm here'. I loved it *I'm Elaine * He still does it!
I know exactly what you mean. I don't know if cats can actually "read your mind," but they can certainly read your body language, your facial expressions, and the slight changes in scent you exude.
And if my landlord ever told me I couldn't have a cat, I would say, "Well, YOU no longer have a tenant!" I think I'd rather go live in my car parked under a bridge than give up my cat!
My cat has predicted fibromyalgia attacks. The first time I had no clue what she was trying to tell me. When the attack happened later that day at work, I figured it out quickly. After that, when she acted the same (which was not normal behavior) I know what she's saying. She also tells me when my blood sugar is low. Not bad for a cat i took off the street at 4 months old. (She's 10 years old now). Nowadays, her purrs are healing to both my body and mind.
I wish she would get the superpower of putting the dog in his place so he'd leave her alone. Then, she could be on my lap again.
You should train your dog not to do that. That's YOUR job. Not hers. You are letting your cat down by not doing this.

@ninademci1500 can your kitty predict the future? My kitty knows he is getting a treat before I know. I'll be in the kitchen, and he will come to the door and "sit pretty." The next thing I know, I am getting him a treat.

I believe cats can partialy cure deseases. I had diabetes and feel overal sick. Then I adopted a cat, and start to improve my health, but cat got a problems with digestion and alergy. She is 9 now and with a right food feels great.
My cat can jump to the top of the fridge from the floor. He jumps up and grabs the top of the bottom door ... he's very agile.

We have to remember, as our cats get older, they often don't have the same amazing senses they once did.I was holding my cat and I didn't think and just dropped him to the floor, he hit the floor hard, I believe his joints now hurt him . Sorry Woody. 😔

I've heard more than a few stories of cats tracking original owner after being given away.
Unfortunately, some cats are attached to their original territory & attempt to return after they are moved away.

the most amazing cat feat: always, without fail when a cat wants to vomit it finds the carpets rather than tiles or hardwood floor.
I love it when cats do airplane ears lol. Also one thing that my cat does that amazes me is he seems to know who to expect before people even are at the doorstep; When one of the family members are about to arrive at home he doesn’t budge from where he sleeps/lays. However when an outsider or stranger is about to arrive (like for instance a plumber or repairman) he instantly gets up and hides before the doorbell is even rang. I have no idea how

It’s a cats world and we just happen to be in it. So it’s more difficult to gauge cats abilities compared to dogs who are always eager to please.
Cats can also sense when a storm is approaching due to the change in atmospheric pressure which they do through their ears. This is one of the reasons sailors used to always have a cat aboard their ship years ago!
Cats also have a tapetum lucidum, a highly reflective tissue at the back of the eye that sends the light back to the retina again. That's what makes their eyes 'glow' at night.

You left out cat’s purring. I have been told by many veterinarian’s that a cat can heal it’s own broken bones by purring. Fact: vibrations can sooth many symptoms in people.
Cats’ most amazing superpower is that which causes us to fall in love with them on sight! Cats and people were made to love each other, they help us and we help them, out of mutual love. The same with dogs, too.
My cat rolled of the top of my old CRT monitor years back. She slept up there to enjoy the heat, but it was a narrow ledge. One day while typing a paper, I noticed her shifting over the edge. I turned my hands over just in time for her to fall on her back into my palms. In a way, it was a "writing reflex" that caught her. :)

Oh and one superpower that isn’t mentioned in the video is their whiskers. They’re crucial for navigating their surroundings as well as balance. They can determine whether they’ll fit through a gap via their whiskers and even detect the airflow around obstacles and navigate their surroundings. Even a totally blind housecats can pretty accurately figure out their way around their homes once they draw a mental map of the layout and furnitures, given that the owner doesnt drastically change the way things are placed

I feel very depress when my sister pass away. I adopt 2 cats n felt better. Then I adopt 2 more and now I feel really good n back to normal. U cannot explain it. I really feel comforted with 4 cats. I think of adopting 2 more. U don’t need medical help at all .
I belong to two cat groups on Facebook and have friends with cats. Hence, when a cat has disappeared, I tell them to hang an unlaundered shirt outside so they can pick up the owner’s scent. It works.

Yes, I agree with other posters here: you didn't mention the reflevtive layer on their retina which also, of course, assists their low-light vision. And as to knowing when we are coming home: I and a romantic friend were away touring the UK for nearly a month (a friendly neighbour was coming in daily to feed my pussycat) - but the very minute we returned (to the porch of my house) pussycat was right there inside the door to meet us, her tail in a slow happy curl, her eyes bright looking straight up at us, purring of course and rubbing herself against us... oh yes and a little 'meeow' "welcome home!" greeting! PRICELESS!!
Wait, how is it that they do Not have night vision? Their eyes can appear to glow in the dark because of a reflective structure at the back of their eyes that allow them to see much better in darkness than we can. They are capable of hunting their prey at night. If that’s not night vision what the heck is?!
In my country several cats feel the earthquake ,i know science is still try to find why and if is so.....But some of owner tell something like " i go out from house when i saw my cat hissing to nothing , or jump like a ball on walls .....maybe is a question of hertz....

The most impressing "Superpower" of my tomcat the ability to eat an entire Rat ... and he still can empty an entire can of Tuna afterwards ... without gaining weight.

Can s are incredible, their hunting prowess is elite, the physiology, watch a cheetah in slow motion when it turns at highspeed, it's tail is the steering wheel, just the slightest adjustment of the tail turns the cheetahs direction, it's an amazing adaptation of evolution.
My cat has mind control abilities. He'll just sit in front of me and stare intensely. I then, without conscious control, reach for the cat snacks and feed him.
I saw videos of cats dodging snake attacks. They are very, very fast.

One of My cat's can detect thunderstorms coming 30-40 minutes before there is any audible or visual info to that fact.

It's no wonder cats tend to know where their people are in the house or in the near range outside it. We smell and sound very distinctive to them, with those heighten senses, and they're great at picking up on our routines. There's a lot of folks who notice proof theur cats know the sound of their particular vehicle motor and adjust their behavior accordingly. This, to me, give a rel sense of the extent of the sensory world they keep tabs on with humans, other animals and other cats, that we can't plug into at all. They very much have their own rounds to make, duties, and lives to live in the areas they take possession of.
I’m not sure when my cat became deaf. Pretty sure she came with hearing. She still moves her ears around.
My best jumping cat could jump to the top of a regular household door like most cats jump up on a countertop and stick the landing like a gymnast mounting the beam.
That is roughly equivalent to a man jumping and landing on an I beam 4 floors up.

Another superpower is speed. A rattler has no chance against a cat. Bobcats eat them with no problems. They are also the only land animal that can catch birds regularly too.

Other fact: If cats could be big as a tiger, they would be the strongest and most dangerous animal on Earth. just a Norwegian Forest cat (big like a Maine racoon) can kill a bear so just imagine.
I do now and have always LOVED my feline friends singing childhood. Such LOVE and fascination with them, from Mala who would never leave my side if I was ill, to Tensing who could leap 7 ft. although be weighed 17 lbs. (he was a Maine Coon Cat). I have always LOVED and admired cats. Prrrrrrr. Prrrrrr.
