  • @hammer1349
    @hammer1349 3 года назад

    I think it may actually be a fundamental design problem which is causing these rough landings. With a 3 engine arrangement it's impossible to descend with any form of stability which is why when it comes in to land, it drifts and comes down hard on one side. It's not really something that can be solved with something that small but something to keep in mind on larger units.
    If the engines were arranged in a line rather than a triangle then you could leave the centre engine active and turn off the left and right. Of course that creates other problems, mostly regarding stability in the Z axis which may cause more problems then it solves.
    A potential solution is to either delay the full landing burn or leave it longer to have a more controlled and stabilised landing.

    Outstanding Flight, all given. The hard landing set shit-spin on all systems. It looks to me as though the thrust puck underneath might've ruptured as the engine bells, now flush to the ground level from the hard impact, was pushed up into the lower methane tank. The fact that it was leaning to one side indicates landing gear failed to absorb the fast decent. Also, it looked to me as though one or more of the Raptors was doing a lot of hacking and coughing as it was righting itself for landing, hence the faster than accepted decent. Still, Better than Bezos. Carry on.
    Also, I like the music track. Good video

    Where is the intelligence and the logic ?!
    Of course, this spaceship will explode on landing as it was designed and built.
    Indeed, during launch, the vehicle is supposed to move away very quickly, calculated from the intense heat generated under it by the engine or the existing turbojet group.
    While the method of landing the vehicle as shown relying on the same motors and in the reverse vertical direction to brake the speed to a stop will inevitably cause it to explode as it enters and is surrounded by the flame of its fire generated by the jets, unlike the launch in which it gradually moves away from the convection.
