You'll have to charge the shirt each time you want to get the effect. Just like any other glow in the dark object, the feature will gradually decrease over time and it will have to be recharged. A good tip is that you can charge it quickly with a black light. We've done it here in the office and you just wave the black light over the glow and it starts glowing immediately!
We used a 100% cotton shirt, so dye migration issues arent the same. If you were using a red 100% polyester garment, then you may run into that problem.....in that case, you will want to dial the temperature on your heat press down to around 285°F and press for about 15 seconds.
I just did a cartoon dinosaur for my grandson. I put the glow down first and then put the dino image (with knockouts) over that. also easy weed siser HTV. initially it had a few 'bubble' but then I pressed it again and they seem to be gone. it's really cute but I didn't put an additional sheet over it when I pressed it. should I have? I did the glow for a couple of seconds then did the orange for a couple of seconds - then did both - with a cover sheet for about 10-15 seconds. we weren't sure we could layer over the glow. will it hold up? did this april 2019
Hi! Our glow in the dark HTV is part of the EasyWeed family, so you can layer on top of it along with other advantages like a warm peel, and weeding on a heat press. Also you should always be using a cover sheet, especially when layering ;)
Hi Kay! No, the heat press is only used to apply the material to the garment. The material glows by letting it sit in the sunlight or in a room with the lights turned on. This helps to "charge" the glow particles. When the lights go out, the graphics give off a green glow. Hope this answers your question!
This may have been cause by the way the garment was laundered. Please contact our Tech Support at Support@siserna.com and we will try and figure out what happened.
Teflon® is a registered trademark. The name used to be widely used but isn't so much anymore. Now those that used to be called "Teflon®" and referred to as "non-stick" or "heat transfer cover sheets". I'm not sure about the origins of the brown sheets... the tan is what Siser sells to distributors.
SiserNorthAmerica Ok thank you, and what's the difference between 5mil and 3 mil when it comes to those sheets? What should I get? I'm using siser easyweed, cotton shirts, and a geoknight press.
The difference between the 5mil and the 3 mil is 2 mils. Sorry, I had to do it! Ok, The thicker the material, the longer it will last and the more it will retain heat. The thicker the sheet, the fewer wrinkles you'll get over time as well. If on a budget, you can also use parchment paper... you'll go through a ton of it as each piece only lasts a few prints before it gets wrinkled and warped by the steam from the shirt and the heat. Hope this helps!
Joe you are very informative and fun to watch! Great video! 👍
Thank you so much, Kymberlie! We have more videos coming! Please let us know if there is anything you'd like us to show in a video! :)
Joe, That Hair bro
Is this usable on stretch fabrics (like spandex) or can you only use easyweed stretch for that purpose?
It is best stick will EasyWeed stretch for that type of garment
Will you guys consider other colors?

Yes. Absolutely! We have videos on using a clothes iron with our materials.
Can you charge this vinyl and save it for later, or do you have to charge it each time you make a tshirt?

nice work!!!
How can I buy this Material from India.
hi there, do u have a branch or source in philippines?
How did you avoid any color bleed from the red garment???

Does the heat press help the vinyl to glow?

SiserNorthAmerica Thanks!!
Well thanks for giving an information
I put this on the back of a zip up hoodie and it cracked when the client put it on. Did I press too hard or does it not have stretch

When looking up the cover sheet, what exactly are they known as? I see teflon sheets, some are brown, some are not, some say non stick, etc.. thanks
