- For contemporary Japanese composer Takashi Yoshimatsu, birds symbolize many things: messengers on a divine mission, for instance, and gateways to viewing the wonder and erosion of the natural world. Describing “And Birds Are Still…,” the composer wrote, “it is a simple piece in the form of a short, piecemeal song that becomes a faint melody which then develops into a melancholic recollection of a memory of long ago, before blending back into its original piecemeal form, and finally fading away.”
I AM SO HAPPY THIS MASTERPIECE HAS A FULL ORCHESTRA VIDEO PERFORMANCE!!!!
It is quite simple but it's great at something a lot of pieces can't achieve. Creating a picture and just being beautiful.
This piece will forever make a mark on our lives.
Amazing performance!!

Birds are still OP
so true...
Someday I wixs to perform this Takashi Masterpiece in the way it inspires me. Still I did not heard that way: more bright ,more light, more spirit, this performance is too fixed to the score measures, It need to have more freedom with expresivity, iwith wings, it needs more dynamic, more free moves as birds, as the movement of the birds when they shake their wings quickly and stand still. There are conductors that could make it, but they are rejected in the offices, they dont have the chance to express it, they are rejected in the oficces while others go through, giving only to them the changae to make a carrier as designers of sound mass surfaces. And thiose people conduct yes, but they do not reach the trascendental expetience of the perfect performance. The one Takashi would whish to hear..
