Are y'all rushing to finish anything before Camp NaNoWriMo? Are you putting any projects on hold while you participate in Camp?
How is your current WIP treating you??
Any unrelated-to-writing good news to share?

Holy cow! 78k! Congrats. I love seeing people print out their drafts. Its so nifty!
Me too! And thank you! :)
CONGRATS!!!! 78K!!! That's amazing!!! "And they all drank." Best last line! I already want to read this!!
:)))))))) Thankyouthankyouthankyou! Here's to hoping it doesn't need to change bahaha. And I was honestly so shocked when I saw it was 78K! This is (so far) the longest novel I've ever written.
Congratulations! I hope the beta reader process goes well! You should name the book project blue until you figure out a title lol
OHMYGOSH DONE. Project Blue. That's fantastic haha. I'm shooting my beta readers texts now to let them know they'll have Project Blue soon hahah. Thank you so much! :)
So this is where it all started . . .
kira thompson I know right haha. I saw that comment and thought the same thing.
WHY DO I NOT GO INTO MY LOCAL BOOKSTORE AND SEE THE BESTSELLERS TABLE WITH KATE CAVANAUGH!? When are your novels getting published!?
How do you print out novels? I have a printer at home and was wondering if that will be good enough or should I get it professionally printed?
Professional printing gets you library bounding also but home printer is alright
I’ve printed out my MS but printing it bound looks so cool!
I've found it so much easier to keep up with! For me, it's worth the money, plus it's fun to go back to later and see all of the changes made haha.
Yay! Congrats! That is so exciting! I can't wait to have that feeling on my current rewrite.
Thank you!! It definitely made all the extra work on it worth it. I'm still shocked by the extra month between when I first thought I was done and when I was actually done haha. And yes! Fingers crossed for you. And I'm so excited to watch the progress in your write with me videos.
Congrats! That has to be such a great feeling!
Thank you! I'm riding on a high right now. :)
Duuuuuuuuuuuude! The little clip of you on Office Depot was so useful! I didn't know that you could go there to print your book for relatively cheap!
Congratulations! What a great milestone to reach!
Thank you!! Here's to hoping I reach another one with this project.
You're so excited! It's so great to see. Well done you! I know this is an old video but you still have such raw enthusiasm and passion. So inspiring!
Awesome video!! I love how you get them printed! I hope they do that in the UK (going to check 😂)
Must be the best feeling in the world! Wow! Well done, even 2, years later!
Sorry for the question, but what have you written then all the years before?
What is with this tennesee novel and the other one which you wrote parallel?
Congrats hun!!! I know how gratifying typing "The End" feels!!! It never gets old!!! Every time you mention your solo trip, I'm so psyched for you!!! Don't worry about not having a title, I had a title for my WIP and when my critique partner read midway through my manuscript, she thought the title didn't really work. Thank God, I have a few titles in the wings and am not super attached to the current title. Best of luck!!!
Ohmygosh, it truly doesn't! It's the best feeling. And ahhh, that doesn't make me feel better! I know the title really isn't the heart of the story anyways, but I do love really cool titles so hopefully something comes at some point that's both fitting and fun.
If you want, you can offer a "Name the Book" contest when you hit 700 subscribers. Jus a thought...
Whooooo! That is so cool! Congratulations Kate! You go, way to write that novel! Also that is some Alfred Hitchcock Birds action in that tree be careful.
Hayley ^_^
RIGHT. I kept having visions of them all raising out of the tree in unison and then attacking. I got in my car immediately after filming it (just in case) haha. And thank you so much! :)
The outline for my initial novel was 42000 words and the outline for my second novel was 70000 something. The outline I'm working on now is already at 25000. Congratulations on the 78000, your amazing keep it up.
Outline? Wow
Girl! I am so proud of you❤️ I felt like I was right there with you and my heart literaly stoped when you showed the book❤️💕 hope that my first draft will go through revision fast enough so that I can hold ( a very bad) version of my book❤️ keep up the good work💕
Awwww thank you so so much! :) I hope your revisions go well too! We got this! :)
How exciting to hold your book baby in your hands!! I want to be a part of the next beta reading process! Maybe you could start trying up with title ideas and betas could help you with coming up with a fitting title.
I will definitely be reaching out to you!! And you know I already put my name down on the list for whenever you're ready. And I think that's a great idea. I'm going to give myself some space and, before I reread (or maybe as I reread), I'll keep a separate list for possible names.
Congratulations!!! Now all we have to do is wait for the published copy!
Ahaha, we may be waiting a while, but YES, fingers crossed! :) Thank you!
Congratulations Kate! Delighted for you! 🍾🥂
Thank you! I totally did pop some champagne to celebrate. :)
Congrats!!! Woot woot!!! Where did u print your story off? I’m so excited for you!
Thank you! I printed mine off at Office Depot/Max (I think they merged??). But any big or small printing services company should do it. I like Office Depot/Max because I get so many options for binding/spiraling/etc. To be fair, I haven't tried many other places haha.
Congrats, Kate! This was so exciting to see!
Thank you!! I'm super glad I decided to document it. Now whenever I'm having an off day I can come back and relive it haha.
Congrats! Your excitement is contagious! ^_^
EEEEEEE, thank you so much! :)
My business is going well, which is good; but also making camp and my own writing less pressing. My current WIP is a bit of a headache, but I think it can be something amazing.
That's awesome news! Totally get having to put your own work on the back burner a little bit to grow your business. I'm sure the headache will be well worth it!
Congrats!!! So excited for you!
Thankyouthankyou! :)
I'm a fellow novelist my debut novel The Devil Inside Of Me Came Calling is 85K500 words and should hopefully be published at some point this year. Its not my first venture into the world of writing last year I published a childrens picture book under a diffrent name Natalia Diane. And fully intend to publish the follow up Lakesha And Akayla's Holiday In New York under my real name Angel Mitchell hopefully this year. My profile photo is one of the pictures from my first book. Good luck with your writting journey and how many books have you had published so far?
This is exciting! Super epic, congratulations :)
Thank you! Doves! :)
I think I'd print my 3rd draft. If I was getting comments from multiple people I'd prob opp for Google docs. Save myself 60 bucks. That's a lot of coffee ♥️.
This video made me so happy!! Congrats!
Awww yay! Thank you so much! :)
That's so exciting! Congrats :)
Thank you!! :)
yay! congrats! I also love editing a printed copy, it is easier. have a blessed day!
Yay! So glad to hear that. And thank you. :)
Congrats! How did you get it bound like that? And, how did you format the story?
Thank you! Oh man, for formatting, I played it really simple. 12-point, double-spaced (so there's plenty of room for comments when reading), Times New Roman-esque font. Then I uploaded it to a printing service. In the U.S., we have Office Max/Office Depots. Then they let you format what kind of binding you want, what kind of front cover you want, if you want it laminated, etc. etc.
if you ever need your drafts in book binding, tell me and i can do it for free through kdp amazon; i just like formatting and doing book related stuff. enjoyed your video and congrats!
So???? Where do u go to print it? And with the spirals? 😁
Congratulations!
Thank you! :)

WHAT MY NAME IS ANALISA I WAS SO SURPRISED TO SEE THAT I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD EVER SEE A BOOK CHARACTER WITH MY NAME 😍
NO WAY NO WAY NO WAY! So glad I can help rep the name! Hers is one of the few character names I've always known (as someone who struggles with naming hahaha).
That’s awesome 😂 people always tell me it’s so rare. I struggle with naming a lot too. Finally figured out last names for my characters yesterday and I’m finishing off my outline today! Gonna try to do a NaNo-style challenge and try to write 50k before January ends :)
WOOHOO! Congrats on a nearly completed outline! And yesssss that sounds like an awesome January goal. Can't wait to hear how it goes for you! :)
Thank you! Hope your revisions are going well! I’m excited to see what’s next for you :)
I like ur videos
Congrats :-)
Thank you!! :)
Congrats!I'm so proud of you!I am working on my first draft and I have 5,000 words typed and at least 8 pages from my standard size notebook to type!Hopefully, that puts me at 7,000!Will u participate In Camp Nanowrimo? I know I Will!
For sure! I'm definitely participating in Camp. I have a few prep videos to get myself ready for it. :) And GOOD LUCK with your first draft!!
YAY! Thanks for taking time to leave such an awesome reply!I can't wait to see what kind of work you write and accomplish!I can't believe camp is almost here it will be my first NaNoWriMo-ish thing!Do you type in Microsoft word, google docs, or another software? Thanks a bunch!
Of course!! Your first NaNo?! That's so exciting! And I type exclusively in Google docs for now, but I've heard others who swear by Scrivener and Word.
Sorry for the late reply I've just haven't been on youtube today much lol.Is there any way you could read my first draft eventually when I finish it as I also use google docs?Have a great day/night
I thought the ending said "and they all died" & I was just like niceeeeee🤔 😂 I also think is better to give bettas physical copies to read, in order to give better feedback (if it only weren't so expensive😞)
Bahaha. One day I want to write a book with an ending like that, but not for anyone else to read because then they'd all hate me. And glad to hear someone else thinks so, too! (But also yes, the cost can *really* add up. Hopefully this doesn't require a million rounds of betas so it won't be as bad haha.)
I'm just very scared as I want to do the same, and are currently at like 120 k 😥 we'll see how it turns in the end:D
