Hello there! Thank for you stopping by the The Appalachian Channel and leaving a comment.
I just recently found your channel and I've binged wztch almost all of them. I love all of them but the ones with Mr. Robertson and Doug and Jenn are some of my favorites. I hope you have made some more with Mr. Robertson because I just love him. He reminds me of my Dad.
Im very happy you have enjoyed the videos. Thanks for the comment! I appreciate the support greatly. I post daily content on The Appalachian Channel Facebook page, if you would like to see more. What state are you watching the videos from?
Mr. Robertson reminds me so much of my grandpa. He’s been gone since 1994. I think he was almost 70 when he passed. They talk just alike.Hearing his story talking about wrecking the bicycle reminds me of hearing how my grandpa would get liquored up and get in a pen with a bobcat he’d caught and catch it again with his bare hands. Lol. He was a WW2 veteran and tough as an old lighter knot lol. This generation is truly the greatest! Much love from Alabama!
Thank you so much for watching my videos and making a comment, I love to hear what people have to say. What state do you watch my videos from? John

Hello Again Sheila, thank you so much for making comments on all the videos that you watch of mine.. I love hearing what you think about each video...
Lisa is a beautiful person inside and out... but the whole family is really awesome... wished more people was like them then the world would be a better place.!!
We didn't have a bathroom or even running water when we first moved in the old house I grew up in. My Dad and me would pee off the porch or walk out in the yard at night. Mom and my sister used "the pot." Which was cleaned and disinfected everyday. My Mamaw kept on under her bed. To her it was a "slop jar!"lol
R.I.P Ralph you will always be missed
I wonder if Ralph had brothers and sisters? What age did his parents lived to be? How many grandchildren he has, great grandchildren?
I think he did
@@theappalachianchannel , did they have that skunk de=scented? I would not have got that close to a skunk!
He reminds me so much of my daddy.
I loved Ralph and loved when you visited him
Some really great video interviews and content. Wished i grew up in places like greasy holler or the surrounding areas back then. It was harder times probably,But better times seems like as they talk about their life stories growing up.I was born in 67 and in Ca. Unfortunately. .🤔🤷♂️

Amazing 💪👍👍👍☺️
Thanks for the comment and watching the video. It was a great honor for me to make almost 40 videos with Ralph Robertson that I filmed over a two year period. Since his passing in December they have been a surge in his video views here on RUclips. The series was first posted a few years back on Facebook but at that time the RUclips Channel only had about 2k subscribers. Now that I’m at over 100k subs “The Greasy Hollow Memories” videos have found a whole new audience.. Come along with me to Greasy Hollow, Tennessee and meet a real Appalachian storyteller that became a living legend. Below is a link to the Greasy Hollow Memories series if you would like to watch more. John Ward
