This was my very first record I bought aged 13 years old, I am now 70 and I still love this tune from the guitar playing to the drum solo, it certainly gets your feet tapping.
A lovely, modest man with great humour and sense of fun. He frequented our local Kings Head pub/restaurant and had his own seat at the bar. Very much missed.
The Shadows is good because of Hank Marvin. He knows how to bring out the music with his guitar playing together with his skills in using the equipment to produce the unique sound of the Shadows.
You might be thinking of Theme For Young Lovers that the Shadows used to play but it was much slower as it was a romantic tune. A few notes sound the same.
What I can't understand is that there seems to be a Fender Jaguar behind Jet which is what he used detuned on the original recording. So why did he not use that? But it's an off the cuff recording at Shadowmania, so we don't expect studio quality
R.I.P. Jet you had one heck of a musical gift that keeps on giving pleasure to so many globally. Your bass work was so assured and unique.
Seen him some years ago fantastic musician and personality

Born around or in 1951, right?
@@Juliaflo 1950 actually.
It must have been such a privilege to be in the audience for this performance. Wonderful.
It was. I was there 👍

😂 Troppo chiacchiere prima di eseguire il brano !😅
Hank Marvin era più coinciso , suonava e sorrideva per il Suo pubblico !!❤
A lot like Theme From Something,,?
Theme from a great guitarist.

I almost recognized the tune
This was bad
This is Apache to Jet. One hit wonder.
What about Diamonds?
One hit wonder? Complete rubbish. All the Shads hits from 59-62 were his too! Even if it WAS his only one, what a cracker.
Applejack, Hully Gully, Footstomp…?
Sadly loss a great performer and a real dry sense of humour.....
too fast
Times out at 2.28 so not much in it.
Bollicks
I think Jet would know.
too slow if anything!
Sounds awful!
