►Description
THE JOURNEY OF Justice Dr. Chandrachud
DY Chandrachud, a Ph.D. from Harvard Law School, did his BA (Honours) in economics from St Stephen's College, New Delhi. Thereafter he went on to complete LLB from Delhi University's Campus Law Centre.
He practiced in the Bombay High Court and the Supreme Court. He was first appointed as judge of the Bombay High Court on March 29, 2000. He served as Additional Solicitor General of India from 1998 to 2000.
In June 1998, he was designated as a senior advocate by the Bombay High Court. He has also served as Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court since October 31, 2013, until his elevation as an apex court judge on May 13, 2016.
During his glittering career, Justice Chandrachud has been part of several landmark judgments, including those on the Ayodhya title dispute, decriminalization of homosexuality, adultery, privacy, entry of women into Sabarimala, etc.
Justice Chandrachud is known for his love of cricket.
Famously, workaholic, Chandrachud presided over a bench on September 30, 2022, that sat till 9:10 pm, hours beyond the regular working hours, to hear 75 cases to clear the board before the start of the Dussehra vacation.
Justice Chandrachud will demit office on November 10, 2024.

Sir the ruling government BJP has changed the Indian penal code into bharatiya nyaya samithe is no sence,see the court is a place where the person who is brought in to court against any crime by the police authority is not a accused until he or she argued in presence of justice in the court unless until judge give an verdict with proper proof as a convict he is not an accused, court will decide whether the person is to be convicted or freed on the basis of the evidence, and the justice will be available to the person who is accused is only by the court, and the court is only the place there every one will get justice, here the word justice is not the punishment, it is free from punishment and he can
be relieved on bail if necessary if he is in jail. Here ruling government has already passed an order that the name lPC is changed to bharatiya nyaya samiti, and now there is no word punishment is in constitution so here nyaya means justice not a punishment, the moment the government passed an order to maintain justice in court in lieu of punishment, and those who are already in jail they can be file a petition to apply for bail immediately so that there is no word exist punishment in the constitution that the government has an order and the judge only can give the judgment on the basis of the law present, and law can be made by the government and such law is passed by the upper and lower houses of the parliament and it is signed by the president and such law can be implemented and passed an order to be a part of a law such a law should follow every court, so now government scraped the name IPC and every one can come on bail and after the end of the judgment no one should be jailed and they can seak for the justice, here justice is not the punishment, here offender will be happy and no person is put in the jail,
What the book IPC is the book containing the punishment and the code of conduct for the offender in various crimes and punishment will be given according to their crimes and criminals as stated by the court, here after the removal of name punishment every body is eligible to go on bail. Here once again i am coating justice is not the punishment and any body is convicted imprisonment for 10 years from court, he never say he will get justice and he will say he got punishment, so the word punishment is scraped from the present law and the judge only can give bail on the basis of the justice and make necessary arrangement to do needful for the accused. Here only i can say that in India judiciary is supreme not the parliament and every body should follow law and justice.
