    bushings and ball joints are different especially in that a bushing has virtually a 1 way movement and a ball joint has polymovement, axial movement, it helps to use correct terminology when ordering parts, good job finding it .. I think ther are 3 points on the rear suspension that need to be checked, upper control arm, lower control arm and trailing arm..

    You can get urethane trailing arm bushings.. They are way harder material.. more for aggressive street/track use. But if you tend to have a little fun while driving they are a very nice upgrade. You can also get delrin or aluminium ones which are basically just for race applications..

    Hey Quinn, really helpfull video. I have a question, there are two of these rubber ball joints on each side? I mean, i saw in other videos that in non M cars the Upper one is a "solid rubbererized" one and in those videos i think they mentioned that you can replace them for the one that you show here as an upgrade. Is that correct? (Edit: Pretty sure i may be mistaken with the lower INNER control arm bushing)
    Edit: I saw the second part of this job in your other video. Got my answer there, lol.
    But now im wondering if thes things have an orientation or it doesnt matter the way you put them. (In the mentioned videos they say that these ball joints have two lips, one flush and one more rounded. The one that's flush should be pointing towards the front of the car. Can you tell me if i should pay attention to this?

      Same cars basically, only main difference aside from having four doors and useful back seats is you get a little more structural rigidity from the added B pillar

    • @LouisLuzuka
      @LouisLuzuka 3 года назад +1

      @@Chattsteezy I love the look of the coupe but honestly the vert caught my eyes minus the back seats but no one really sits there anyways, the only thing is I heard the sedan has more headroom, but other than that, I wouldn't mind a vert but I'm happy with my coupe
      how about you what's your experience?

      @@LouisLuzuka Only ever owned an e36 coupe but had an e46 sedan. Tbh I thought my back seat would get used way more then it did but in the almost 5 years I had that car I think it got used like maybe 10 times lol. My e36 coupe is my pride and joy though. Ain’t the cleanest by any means but she’s a missile and slides like none other. Best $2000 I ever spent. Would like to get a black sedan one day just to have the best of both worlds.

      @M3NACE  3 года назад +1

      yeah from what ive read somewhere some of the non-m cars came with weird bushings instead of ball joints there, you can outright install M3 ball joints in their spot. def. and upgrade from that.
