She make mistake about somalia she said what makes somalia one of the poorest countries in the world is forieng aid but no that is not the case. But in 1991 civil war broke out in Somalia between the faction and the government the problems we inherited from that civil war still have their effects on economy and politics and those civil wars led somalia to be one of the poorest countries. We still didn't get full recovery on that civil war.

I'm here for appreciation as well as asking, what is a reply speech and what should be it's content?

    • @prof.yusufgeneralphilosopher

A reply speech is like a final conclusion to the debate's issues that leave a last word to the judges so that they can evaluate who is right and who is not right depending on some circumstances that define who won in a debate.

Thanks a lot. Sorry to bother you, but then what are the key areas to consider when judging a debate?

    • @prof.yusufgeneralphilosopher

@@nsabimanasalimbaffason4431 It depends on the system used when judging a debate. That is why most of the countries have their own way or manner of judging. But for Idebate Rwanda there a lot of key factors to consider before dropping out the final decision. In terms of the motion given, judges focus on the advantages and disadvantages given by the debaters. If the proposition side says advantages that are more than the disadvantages that the opposition side said with proof and credibilty then it is obvious for the proposition side to dominate. Similarly,if the opposition side states disadvantages that are more than the advantages said by the proposition side with proof and credibility, then the opposition side dominates the debate. They also focus on the number of times a side Intervenes. If the proposition side Intervenes a couple of times like asking many questions and the other side fails to answer them, then the judges will also consider that factor of attack to determine the winning team. They can also consider other things as fluency in English and also public speaking skills. Which is what led to the proposition side to win the debate.
