  • Thanks for watching my Diy Glass Cabochon tutorial!!
    What you need:
·Glass Cabochons (can be found online etsy, ebay, etc)
    ·Scissors
    ·Annie Howes Glamour Seal
·Printed Images (Please note these should be the same size as your glass cabochons. Also the paper matters as well. You can use laser printed color paper or high quality photo paper. You have to test it out to make sure there is no splotches or ink bleeds in the paper as it also depends on the printer and ink it uses. I use a high quality canon photo printer on glossy canon paper)
·Settings for your cabochons. Make sure they are the matching size of your glass!
My current set up is: Glossy Kodak photo paper with our Canon Inkjet Pixma ix6820

great tutorial! I am interested in that glue. Saw another tutorial that used the E6000 as the adhesive between glass and print... maybe this glamour seal has less odor, and not as stringy?

Very good question! The glamour seal is pretty much like a pva glue. The e6000 is pretty toxic and I have tried both but prefer the glamour seal as it dries way faster than e6000 and way safer!

Is the process the SAME as with Glamour Glaze as it is with Glamour Seal?
I can NOT find instructions or a tutorial specific to Glamour Glaze???
Is there a difference (other than laserinjet)? I am worried bc on Annie Howe website indicates tutorial for Glamour Glaze BUT WHEN I CLICK ON IT, NOTHING HAPPENS, when i click on tutorial for Glamour Seal, it days ger pics were made with Glamour Glaze but she was ysing Glamour Seal??? It does nention under the video that yellowing happens with products other than Glamour Seal. Idk IF THAT ALSO REFERRED TO GKAMOUR GLAZE ALSO???

I need help. I spent 16+ hrs a day, editing & shrinking pics to bezel sizes needed for 6 wks+, then I couldn't get my mini pics onto 1 standard size paper & they would NOT copy at the size I made them for? I wanted to cry. Watched MANY PHOTOSHOP & OTHER TUTORIALS, without luck. What program do you use to copy your mini pics onto 1 page?
I finally took my files to a print shop business & was charged $25. for 1/2 hr work for girl to make me 4 pages of my pics using the ultra premium paper that I brought in. My hubby was NOT HAPPY. Will you please advise. Thanks so much

@projectpinupgirl when I have a file open & click print, it prints the exact size that I created it, but then I have 1 tiny little pic on a full size paper. Photoshop won't let me copy & paste numerous pics on 1 page. The print shop used Abobe Design & I was told by another shop that I needed to create them in another program like Microsoft Publisher.

I have been using your methods and I still get silvering around the edges of the print. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Using same glue, flat surface, laser printed images on medium weight gloss paper, etc. any ideas what would still causes the silvering? They look great when I assemble but hours later they have silvering bubbles. I can’t even get to the bezel part of assembly because I can’t get any that don’t have some kind of silvering. Feeling very defeated.

    • @projectpinupgirl
      @projectpinupgirl  5 лет назад

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that. I personally do not use laser printed paper, I use my ink jet Canon Pixma with kodak gloss paper. I would try maybe a matte laser? A friend of mine uses the matte version. Sometime it all depends on the pressure you are using as well when applying the glass. Don't feel defeated, its all about trial and error especially when you do not have the same set up like i do. Try multiple ways and see what ways work for you!

@@biffmalibu3052 unfortunately no I didn’t. When I looked closer at others selling them on Etsy I can easily see horrible large silver areas that make it look cheap. I was able to get minimal silver areas but I didn’t like having any. So I’m assuming there’s no way around it when adhering a cabachon to a pre-printed image.

Mark Roadarmel I run a professional business and I have never had issues with using this particular paper with my canon inkjet and the Annie Howes. One of the main reasons I use this as well, is that matte paper will let the e6000 bleed through the paper. With the gloss I never have this problem. Also the image never fades over time.

You can take all the defective ones off and soak them in water then the images will come of the glass and you can re-do the glamour seal process. Hope that helps!
