- Hey team! Today I present you a short video on how I process some of my pianos. (Resources Linked Below). This is just a quick demo of what I normally do to process them and mix them into an over all soundscape.

fantastic tutorial, I have always been struggling to get that lush open piano sound and now after years I finally have the piano sound that I always looked for. Thank you very much 🙏
Glad this one could be of some use :) Thanks for watching!
Awesome. You are very skilled bro...👏👏👏
Thanks for the compliments!
May I recommend the avoidance, in all combination voicings, of all possible minor-ninth intervals on non-dominant chords? This information in YOUR hands will undoubtedly yield TREMENDOUS results. Your great abilities, great taste, and hard work tell me that you deserve to know it.
A "combination voicing" is the voicing that is made up of ALL of the compositional voices that are sounding at a given moment in time t, regardless of the implementation of those compositional voices (i.e., regardless of the instrument voices that are being used to play those compositional voices).
And no seconds (minor or major) at the TOPS of combination voicings, as well. Note that doubling at the octave introduces a new compositional voice. Whenever a minor-ninth interval is caught, the harmony can be easily and momentarily modified to eliminate it. For example: b13 on a minor triad, when the b13 is above the chord voicing. Solution: Momentarily take out the fifth of the chord. If the b13 is below the chord voicing, then you'll momentarily get a maj7 sound, which is non-problematic.
the best tutorial I saw helped me a lot thanks for the teachings Derek Palmer :)
Yo también vengo para aprender, algún día seré como tú. Gracias por tus melodias que llegan al corazón.

Hi dreke how to make kick trance and mastering?
😎😎😎😎😎😎
Hey bro.would you plz make a tutorial about how to mix a trance vocal??????that would be greaf✌🖒
What did you use for pad? It's so rich and beautiful... not too little, not too much!
I wrote this so long ago I can't really tell specifics, but I always have multiple layers. What I typically do is have a sub bass pad, a supersaw and a secondary super saw (with more high end EQ usage on it). Then I will also layer in some other pads as I see needed. Sometimes they will carry a melody line with one note or split the chord progression and use two notes of the chord instead of all three. I also take note of panning, no pad is panned dead center other than sub bass pad. As well as good reverb and delay settings. It's all about layering and mixing ;)
nice piano :D
There's a combined piano/guitar I want to create. I heard it on Promethean (Araya Remix)
i love it, great progression, and awesome bass. What did you use for the bass if i may ask?
Mid basses are a combination of Spire and Sylenth, the sub bass is Sylenth. Hope this helps!
Why not use a reverb send for the piano?
Instead of putting it directly on the same mixer track? Or does it matter
I know this is an old vid
I typically don't use sends because I use different reverbs and reverb settings depending on the instruments. So for example, pads and pianos use different settings and plugins.
What is the name of this program that he is using? I would really like to know please
This was done in FL Studio. In terms of the piano, I use EastWest Pianos for my go to piano.
where i can download the piano presets you have in user folder??please
The piano library I use is Eastwest/Quantum Leap Pianos. You can find it on soundsonline (dot) com.
amazing Pianos!!! What´s the name of he preset of Pad?? Is Spire??? thanks a lot and sorry my english
Thank you! I'm actually not sure what I used for the pads (it's multiple layers) and if I use presets, I tend to adjust them in most cases.
