How can I raise the wheel for bolt tightening if I don't have a lif t?

Great professional video. Does the thrust arm need to be torqued under load (I'm assuming yes since he used the jack) and what should the bolts be torqued to?

Thank you for such a review.
You need to tighten the thrust lever under load this is done so that the silent block is tightened in its working position, when tightening, ordinary keys are used.

Great enlightening video! and a job well done! Would replacing them on a 2011 750ix drive be the same?and using the jack to push the strut up before tightening things back in, how can one tell that they have the correct height of the strut to be safe tightening things back up? Thanks.

      Thank you for your feedback!
In general, the replacement should be similar, the only thing that it may differ slightly because of the design features of your car.
It is best to make a control tightening when the car is standing on its wheels, however, if there is a lack of access for such a procedure, the car can be left hanging on the lifts by compressing only the shock absorber strut to the ground clearance.
      Best regards, Autodoc.

At 5.22, what is that small metal piece that bolts to the lower control arm? On mine there is no hole, so that metal piece is just hanging there

Thank you for your feedback! This is the attachment of the lever. You need to check the mounts in case of a bad connection may arise problems in the operation of suspension levers. Or maybe you have different structurally steering knuckle. Best regards, Autodoc.

Thank you for your feedback! it doesn't depend on your region, in any case the chassis and its thread joints may be subjected to environment, and one can't avoid it. We recommend that you use special lubricants with penetrating properties, for instance WD-40. Best regards, Autodoc.
