You should watch the movie "Strategic Air Command" then, almost all of the footage in this video came from that movie. The B-36 footage was mostly filmed at Carswell AFB in Ft. Worth, Texas. The large building in the background during the takeoff sequence is the Convair Plant where the B-36 was being built at the time the movie was being made (1954), B-36 production ended that year and B-58 Hustler production was ramping up. Carswell is now a Joint Reserve Base, but Air Force Plant 4 is now operated by Lockheed Martin whom acquired F-16 production from General Dynamics. The F-35 is being produced there now.

I keep coming back to this video time and time again.
Just watching the B-36 and B-47s take flight is hypnotic, but it's even better when paired with this song.
Perturbator made some of the absolute best darksynth of the entire Genre, though he seems to be somewhat moving away from pure darksynth in recent times.
Back to the video: Both the B-36 and B-47 are absolutely incredible (and gorgeous) aircraft.
The B-36 was developed during the tail end of WWII, finally entering into service around 1946.
The B-47 came after, entering service in 1951.
I've found myself almost drawn to a lot of these older planes, to the point where I'm far more interested in them than the modern stuff (that's not to say I dislike modern planes, but they just don't hit my area of interest).
I must thank you though, Mauzer: These videos greatly spurred my interest in military aviation (especially around this time), and because of it, I've learned a ton

He was the man who I'd like to say the father of all bomber pilot, because he flew almost every US-made bomber at that time, B-24 during WWII, B-36 and B-47 as seen in this movie, B-52 during his tenure in Reserve and as observer on the Vietnam War, and lastly the B-58 which earned him the "Mach 2 Club"
Also, he was retired at the rank of Brigadier General. The two-star rank were given by President Ronald Reagan in '85, 17 years after his retirement.

I think along those same lines too. By 1945 it ALREADY looked alien as compared to just 6 years before. 1939 warfare didn’t look all too different from 1918…biplanes, bolt action rifles, form fitting wool uniforms and blocky light tanks and then just 5-6 years later you have jet fighters, radar guided interceptors, camouflage uniform clad infantry with infrared equipped assault rifles and powerfully armed and armored tanks that wouldn’t disgrace a modern MBT….it’s pretty mind blowing.

It is still awesome to know that the B-36 absolutely dwarfed the previous generation of Super bombers like the once 'huge' B-29 Superfortress..there is a classic colour photograph of a B-36 Peacemaker (still a strange moniker for a nuclear bomber😕..)..that is sitting parked right beside a B-29 Superfortress at a SAC airbase of the 1950's..the poor old B-29 looks just like a tiny AIRFIX model kit sitting there being totally overshadowed by this classic nuclear monster B-36 warbird. Its a wondrr the Peacemaker even flew. And then..along came the B-52 Stratfortress..now thats another aircraft tall tale an true. ✊😆
