So basically it's like an Orchestral Piece, by One Man on Drums, Percussion, Drum Machines, Pedles Synthesizers, Effects, Keys & Vocals. Absolutely Beautiful, & Freaking Fire. Aric
Aric is in a league of his own IMO of drumming. His work for Night Verses is insane. Dude is the epitome of creativity in a world where most have already done everything.
@@stu.chainzWhat's he's describing is definitely true for artistic subjects. How many times does a musician recreate famous riffs without evening meaning to? Think about it like counting to 10, there's only so many ways you can count to 10. Most people would start 1,2,3,etc. Consecutively. Then maybe you'll count evens up to ten, then odds. All the basic patterns will be taken right away. Then what you have left is all these obscure ways of counting that fall under no pattern. With art it's very similar. All the things you would naturally come up with by playing around gets mostly taken up, then all you have is stuff so obscure that you probably can't even use it. A good example would be, the creativity in a 4/4 will be much more explored than a 18/32 time signature. If you wanted to innovate you should leave 4/4, however the problem is 4/4 works and most other musicians can do it. I don't disagree with you 100% though. Creativity is hard until one person comes up with something so different it gives room for a completely new way of doing things. Discovering fire was genius, yet any idiot can play with and use fire now that we know how to make it.
It is incredible how much creativity and complexity Aric Improta can bring to composing his drum solos. And then the technique, speed, control and style needed to play them to perfection. This is just mindboggling.
I saw and heard him play this summer with Night Verses before Tool. Devastating! A great solo dedicated to my all time player and hero Kobe Bryant. Thanks Aric! Thanks Drumeo! 💜💛
I asked Brandon during a recent live stream if we had more stuff coming from him. I guess he didn't lie. This is amazing as expected. He's a huge inspiration.
One of the most creative drummers out there right now. Night Verses and House of Protection are two great bands that he is in. Night Verses is more prog/metal/experimental and House of Protection is more modern rock/metal. Highly recommend both of his projects. ALSO he has a 40 minute drum solo in Meinl which is just mind-blowing. I am happy to be living in the same time line as he. Imagine if we put Aric Improta and El Estepario in one room to just jam and feed each other new ideas.
I didn't think I was gonna like this to start with as I'm not much of a basketball fan ( Although I've always liked what Kobe did RIP) but this is extremely impressive! Aric is truly talented well beyond his awesome work with all I've known of him with Fever 333 💙🥁
34:00 I agree so much and I think that's a great take away for many people. It's important to respect the "rules" but it's equally important, when making art, to push the boundaries and question things/break the mold. Certainly a time and place for both. You won't go on someone else's gig trying to splatter the canvas, but when it comes to writing your own art, get crazy and explore!
I'm a 42-yr old drummer of 26 years, and I have never seen a drummer more inspirational than Aric. He has such a curious enthusiasm for the instrument, and thinks outside of the set more than anyone else I've seen play. I look forward to many more years hering this man bang his heart out 🤘♥🔥
I went to see Night Verses opening for Tool in Paris but the venue gave us the wrong time so I missed the beginning and only saw the last couple tracks! I was gutted but I wrote to Aric and he was so kind about it. This video is a very cool consolation, thanks! Love it when the inspiration comes from whole other places.
Oof, it reminds me of going to see Metallica about 20 years ago. I was early to the show by virtue of being close to the venue due to getting off work late and not being able to make it home. Meanwhile, my buddies, I was supposed to go with, ended up in a minor fender-bender that had them show up really late. All that to say, I caught Lamb of God opening for them a band nowhere on my radar, and they blew my mind with their set at the time. Kinda the opposite experience.
@ Nice turned out, good for you! I had a similar bad experience shortly after that with Zeal & Ardor opening for Heilung, only saw the last couple of tracks. I must be cursed 💀
Yoooooooo. My most recent favorite drummer is on drumeo?? Hell yeah!! The 40 minutes solo of Blur-Lights in the Videodrome and the last two Nightverses albuns are on my top 3 listened albuns this year. And House of Protection's debut album is in my top 10. I'm so hyped!
The creativity he puts in is something I've never seen out there, and I'm so proud of living in this epoch, surrounded by some awesome and talented musicians like him

You have drummers and you have Aric Improta. This dude is from different galaxy.
Yea, he` good but not from a DIFFERENT galaxy. There are a lot of drummers from a different galaxy.
Yeah, if you see his old videos like his drum contest ones, he's been on a different planet for a while 😂😂😂
Blur-lights in the videodrome is the single greatest drum video ever made. 40 minutes of non-stop jaw drop. Aric is unique.
This dude is such a fucking genius, it's actually insane. He deserves so many props.
So basically it's like an Orchestral Piece, by One Man on Drums, Percussion, Drum Machines, Pedles Synthesizers, Effects, Keys & Vocals.
Absolutely Beautiful, & Freaking Fire.
Aric

And that’s the problem. Most people think like you. They think everyone has done everything already. That couldn’t be further from the truth

Aric is an underrated genius. Arguably the best drummer out there right now.
The way he expresses drumming reminds me so much of how Devin Townsend approaches his guitar playing. Just wow.
I can see that. Really cool
It's more about his expression than the technical precision of it, and it always makes it unique
@@ApexATL Exactly! I am glad that someone out there gets what I am trying to say. You articulated it better than I ever could. Thanks for that!
The Night Verses material is absolutely insane.
The best musical discovery I made this year
Agreed.
It is incredible how much creativity and complexity Aric Improta can bring to composing his drum solos. And then the technique, speed, control and style needed to play them to perfection. This is just mindboggling.
Thanks for inviting Aric to do this. Love his work with Night Verses so much
A lot of words come to mind, but none could possibly be the right ones to say. Genuinely speechless. I am now a forever fan.
Seen him live multiple times and is great everytime. One of the most unique drummers out there.
I love this guy. I've been talking about him for years since I saw him live. Dudes a monster. Attention deficit drumming is a cool series.
I've seen this guy play twice in the last few months with both Night Versus and house of protection and honestly have been fully blown away
Easily one of the most creative drummers.
Great to see Aric on Drumeo.
One of the most beautiful things I have heard my whole life
Ohhh yeah! Love Aric drumming for so long!
I saw and heard him play this summer with Night Verses before Tool. Devastating! A great solo dedicated to my all time player and hero Kobe Bryant. Thanks Aric! Thanks Drumeo! 💜💛

Aric is a fantastic drummer and Glitching Prisms is soooo good. I hope Night Verses does more collaborations with Brandon.
I LOVE that song. So beautiful. Great collab 👏👏👏
He has such a cool approach to drumming. I love it!
easilly the best drummer of our generation. long time fan!
A one man show! The most creative drummer out there right now. More than a drummer, Aric is a true artist. Night Verses, awesomw stuff btw!!!

Blur-lights in the videodrome. His meinl video you're talking about, I believe. The single greatest drumming video ever created.
El Estepario is a very good drummer but not sure he'd be able to offer Aric anything lol, Aric is on an entirely different level
There he finally is
Amazing musicality and creativity! This is art!
I remember stumbling on his playthrough of "Copper Wasp" couple of years ago. I wasn't ready at the time. And still to this day 😅 Phenomenal drummer ❤
He is the intersection of creativity physicality, technique and raw emotion my gods! I love these videos!
Been waiting for this feature for a long time!
Alright I'll be scratching out time of my day to watch this all the way through!!
one of the best drummers right now
how do you figure? What is best to you?
@@morbidmanmusic you should watch matt gartska video abou it, i think he says it the best, and Aric is in all those requirements
This dude is an animal i love night verses!!!
What a trip, creative genius
🥁🔥Eres un gran baterista Aric 🥁🥁🥁🥁🫶🏽🔥
YEEESSSS!!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR ARIC TO COME TO DRUMEO!
llevo unos años siguiendo la trayectoria de Aric con Night Verses y actualmente pocos humanos son capaces de esto, gracias por invitar a este genio
Hyper creative and excellent playing!!
love this dude his 2012 guitar center drum off is still my favorite solo of all time
Yo that video editing at 15:13 was genius
I didn't think I was gonna like this to start with as I'm not much of a basketball fan ( Although I've always liked what Kobe did RIP) but this is extremely impressive! Aric is truly talented well beyond his awesome work with all I've known of him with Fever 333 💙🥁
Kobe a great guy he even beat r**e charges. Got away clean. But he was good at basketball so all is forgiven
He’s a Drumming Machine! Absolutely incredible performance. ❤❤❤
Whelp, this is about the coolest thing I have EVER seen, well done sir!!!!
Pure Art and Skill! Beautiful to witness
Incredibly inspiring! I'm gonna go play my drums now.
Aric and El Estepario are breaking the internet right now with some out of this world drumming!
I love to see Aric getting his flowers in here 🤩
Yes thank you. I love listening to Night Verses.
Massive creative drum solo. No need for words!
Aric’s physicality is amazing! Would love to see a composition with him and Eloy!🎉

Glade to see he is getting the recognition he deserves!!
Brandon looks super impressed

Talent and showmanship 🎉
Aric really has that Mamba Mentality in him.

j'ai aussi raté Night Verses lors de leur tournée avec Tool, j'étais dégoûté, j'ai seulement vu leurs dernières 30s...
@ erreur dans l’horaire donné par la salle aussi ou bien tu étais en retard ? ^^
that crosssticking and all that follows on Glitching Prisms ...very good work
Have Aric do a Tool song, and Carey do a Night Verses songs, and then have Portney improvise both. Win-Win-Win
👏👏👏👏
So innovative,so different and so much inspiring. Exciting stuff!
What an awesome introspective interview. Drumeo strikes again.
This is FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Night Verses ROCKED onto the scene and they're here to stay
como se puede ser tan creativo y talentoso? este tipo definitivamente es de otra galaxia
I saw this dude in 2010 playing in Sound Achieves at a Game works arcade. He was jumping out of his drum chair, literally, been a fan ever since.
This is fantastic display of drumming
This guy is super fucking rad on the drums and also gave a lot of great insight. Great ep.
Aric is on a level of his own.
Genius!! Just beautiful ❤
Absolute favourite drummer
Mind blowing this guy
yooo love his stuff!
His initials are AI and I am convinced he is not human.
We've got a detective here
Wowwww🤯 !! Aric was not on my radar until just now. I won’t let that happen again 🤘 🥁
aric, tomas, and danny are the three kings
Yoooooooo. My most recent favorite drummer is on drumeo?? Hell yeah!!
The 40 minutes solo of Blur-Lights in the Videodrome and the last two Nightverses albuns are on my top 3 listened albuns this year. And House of Protection's debut album is in my top 10.

That was absolutely sick!
So much creativity and talent!
Aric never ceases to impress
What an artist! And he even likes Opeth 👍
The fact that he loves the mighty Opeth makes him even cooler 🤘🤘
Holy shit I’ve never seen anyone blend acoustic drums with pads and programming to git the best of both worlds and create something this gud before.
Every possible sound out of every possible instrument. Excellent playing and beautiful imagination.
Wow, just wow. Absolutely phenomenal
never heard b4 - but this was amazing !
This was fantastic and a really great conversation. Great job Drumeo👏🏾
Thank you so much for this! Aric is the greatest
By far my favourite drummer ❤
what kind of beautiful vortex i just got sucked in!
The 15 minutes version " Voodoo Child" has a rather trippy drum 🥁 solo Mitch Mitchell.
DUDE! This guy is Epic.
Aric featured on Drumeo finally!!! He's one of the current GOATs. Go listen to Night Verses and House of Protection.
Absolutely disgusting and awsome!!! Love this guy. The level of creativity is insane. Thanks for this drumeo 👏👏👏👏
Masterpiece. Period.
The creativity he puts in is something I've never seen out there, and I'm so proud of living in this epoch, surrounded by some awesome and talented musicians like him
Aric’s chops can split atoms.
Eres un Dios 🥁🥇🎶🤘🏽
Insanely incredible = Love it. Every note and every beat captured. Awesome 👏💪👍
The mad scientist at work
I've seen Night Verses as guest of TOOL. Sick show! Loved it and kept following :-)
WTF I just heard! Incredibly rhythmic and powerful.
