Please let's not forget Peter's alter ego from early Fleetwood Mac, Danny Kirwan, who was just as great a guitarist and composer who also passed away on June 8, 2018 after a decades-long battle with depression. No disrespect to Peter and his family but Danny needs to be remembered, too. RIP Peter and Danny.
So true. Bit fed up Fleetwood mac members hardly ever acknowledge him for what he gave to them. It's probably why I only discovered his contribution about 10 years ago - maybe there are things we don't know as to why. Let's face it, Fleetwood and Mcvie though great musicians didn't input any songs so coasted and are living it up on the backs of the song writers.
Never again somebody like Peter Green. He had a gift to materialise that deepest mystical emotion into most beautiful and haunting sounds .The touch he had with his guitar was just out of this world. I feel like i lost a good friend . Fly peacefully forever Peter :)
After a very tumultuous life that ended in deepest despair, this was played at a friend's funeral. All there knew the pain that drove him to that sad end. His sons had this played during the viewing just to show us that his only source of peace was this song. It really made his passing a bit easier. I still choke up or even breakdown when I hear it.

This song is oddly captivating, and grabs me every time. It is lyrical, and maybe ethereal, in quality. Albatross showcases Green's guitar mastery in an instrumental composition. He could have been famous for this even if it was the only recording he ever made.
This was the first record I ever bought with Jigsaw Puzzle Blues on the B side. Never clicked at the time that Peter Green was on one side and Danny Kirwan was on the other. What a great pair but was just a flash in time then they were gone.
