Andrew, it's always such a pleasure to do collabs with you. I feel like we both equally pushed ourselves this week. I couldn't have imagined these pieces turning out any better, I cannot wait to see the third. Can't wait for our livestream next week! 😁
Your art is always amazing! I loved watching your process and how you created the storyline. The way you incorporated the color was pure magic! As others have said, the artsy guy may be my favorite of anything you've created! ❤
Meanwhile, in Chicago three 81 year-old men who couldn't stand each other while attending Gordon Tech High School are wondering why they are being forced to coexist as a triptych for the rest of eternity.
I agree with Leah. This is your best work I've seen. Fashion guy is my favorite. I especially like like how you cut out the tv screen and placed it over his eye. Kudos to you.
Andrew, you have given me a great idea! I'm going to use my son's preschool art to make a collage with a blown up picture of him as part of the art - like you have done. I can't part with his early art, so this is a way to incorporate it into a new, fresh piece of art that we will all enjoy. Thank you!
I love this idea so much! I’ve definitely thought about doing this with notes people have written to me or drawings I have from my childhood… such a beautiful way to memorialize these special moments and put them on display in an edgy and artistic way!
This is my favorite kind of art that you make. The way that you combine different photos of unrelated things and bring them together cohesively is just amazing. I've never seen anything like this from other artist. WOW!
Hey Andrew! Your talent for blending elements from diverse sources into captivating artwork with a narrative is truly impressive. The way you used vintage magazines and complementary techniques to create layers is so innovative. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Hi Andrew! This was very interesting. I am not an Artist by any stretch of the imagination. I really like the piece that is representative of how you felt as a younger man. The interest in fashion, cosmetics, etc. the inclusion of pops of color adds a nice yet subtle punch. Have a great weekend. Take care - Don
Always glad to stop by your channel and pick up some inspiration to get me going. So into reinventing my place right now but find I have a fascination with your (gold w/green stone) ring. (high school, college or society)... and need to know more. Is that too intrusive? I DO come here for your creativity and tips but that ring was so on display in this one. Nice. Your collages are so thought out and ever changing I don't know if I could ever do that but I do have a pile of Vogues from the 60's and 70's that could put me to the test. We'll see. Be well! And thank you! On to watching Flanzella now....
Andrew, So delightful to see your creative process ! As a retired Art Teacher I always stressed to my students that the process of making art reveals so much of your soul, your feelings, yourself. Kudos to your creativity !
Andrew this was another really inspired collab with Leah.I think a tryptichs is a great idea and brings art history to the pieces.Giving each piece a definite story was a good foundation to build from.Fashinista guy does feel like is a reflection of you as an artist, and I love that family guy has an air of 50's domestic dystopia.Adding marks and hand painting to both added a unity to them.(Matt) Am sure you'll find that key piece that gives you a way to complete the third piece. Agree with Leah these are really strong pieces really elevated.
The end product art piece is so amazing! However, I equally enjoy the "putting together" process. Somehow I find it so relaxing and entertaining. Love your channel, as always
I love to watch and knowing your thoughts behind your compositions is like inside info your viewers get to enjoy. Do you use an inkjet or laser printer and do you ever have issues with ink running? And... it IS perfect❤
Hi Andrew. You did such an amazing job with this challenge and everything came together in such an eclectic yet cohesive way. The use of paints to tone things down and blur the lines worked beautifully. Bravo 👏❤️❤️❤️
Howdy Andrew!! We are always our own worst critics! Your art creations are always elegant & punchy, layered with great insight & just plan fun!! Keep up the great work Cowpoke!! Big bear hugs from Kenny in Ohio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🥰😉😊
Really enjoyed this! Fantastic art created. I love how you integrated the black and white images with the color pieces and presented each piece with a theme. I especially love the TV set over the eye! Adding the oil pastels and paint really enhances the art, too. Well done! Now headed to Flanzella's channel. She's another favorite of mine. Thanks again for letting us know about the Rasterbator. What an artist-helper, time-saver this has been!
Let that 3rd one rest a minute; it’ll come to you. One of the things I picked up about the 50s and early 60s, everything was so linear. Moving to the perfectly, manicured suburbs was a thing. Don’t know if that gives off any vibes. You’re a creative man and you’ll arrive. 😊
Love the collab! Agree with the comments... Both pieces are great. But, the fashion guy is just fabulous! I feel like your artwork is evolving. Your most recent collage pieces speak on multiple levels: *visually creative/appealing, *tells a story to evoke emotion and * includes a personal component. Nice!
I really enjoy your collages. Am a long time fan of the work of Hannah Höch and max Ernst, plus Romare Bearden and Carrie Mae Weems. Collage is a fantastic medium. Thanks for sharing your processes.
Oh I have so many vintage magazines, but don't dare cut them up. from 1930'S to 1980's. must scan and print them! Thank you for the inspiration! much love ❤
These are neat! I love that you chose this approach and theme because just a couple of weeks ago, I was trying to make a collage about my dad using his high school yearbook photo and a bunch of cutouts relating to his hobbies and interests, but I couldn't figure out how to compose it. I was going to do that thing where you cut the top of the figure's head off, position it like a tin can lid, and put stuff coming out of it, but the objects I had cut out (trains, buildings/monuments, orchids, a grand piano) didn't lend themselves to that. Maybe your works will help me resolve this project!
That narrative, and how it relates in a way to your upbringing and the white elephant gifts in school is really beautiful. Love how our past informs our present and future. Bringing those elements into our art always makes it feel more considered and intimate, and ultimately satisfying as an artist, I find. Loved the livestream. Was super fascinating and inspiring. I'd love to see you create more art like this, and hopefully see what you do with that third piece, however I think it'll be a great exercise for you to do that off camera, like you said without the pressure of filming or time. With what you've accomplished with these two pieces, I have no doubt fhe third will be phenomenal as well. Hope you have a wonderful weekend 💚
I love your work Andrew!! I really started to be drawn to Collage when I was looking for a new artistic outlet. I then got into an ATC group with several wonderful artist's from whom I have learned so much. I still have a lot to learn and watching you is very inspirational. I also love repurposing things so I also have been enjoying the transformation of your home. Can't wait to see how the 3rd piece turns out.
I really like the one of the guy with the complicated home life (and how putting the cereal over the woman's head in the upper corner makes her seem like the brains of the family)
I love your “Andrew” collage. You seem to be taking more daring steps into the world of “what can art do?” The piece feels rawer and more exposed than any of the other pieces of yours I’ve seen, and so it’s more powerful as art. The “unhappy family” one has that potential, but I’m not sure it’s there yet. I will def watch your livestream with Leah!
I really love these. I think your portrait pieces are including so much more narrative, moreso than the surrealist vintage portraits you've featured before.
Andrew, it's always such a pleasure to do collabs with you. I feel like we both equally pushed ourselves this week. I couldn't have imagined these pieces turning out any better, I cannot wait to see the third. Can't wait for our livestream next week! 😁
We definitely both had breakthroughs this week! And it was so fun chatting with you and catching up! Looking forward to chatting again live! ❤️❤️❤️

I enjoyed seeing your process. I look forward to seeing how the third piece ends up speaking to you when you come back to it.
"I respond to what I find rather than find something new". That really makes so much sense.

It’s just an inkjet printer! And yeah sometimes the ink runs, but that just adds to it I think!

Thanks Joanne! Great insight!
I cannot tell you how much I really, really love the cosmetics guy one. I’m super drawn to that one.
Truly fabulous! I really enjoyed seeing your process and your final result.
Thanks for watching! ❤️
Sooo moving and touching, both works! Why? I don't know...
This art is amazing.
I love your imagination. 😊
Thanks Rhonda!
I am always amazed by what you create! They turned out so, so good!! You sure are talented!
Thanks Misty! ❤️
I feel like the materials will usually tell you what to do with them, if you listen.
Absolutely!

My favorite is the man with the girls on his face. I love it! Well done Andrew! The other one is great too. They both tell a story.
Enjoy your process.Thank you
Thanks for watching Barbara!
I love your work with the women's fashion. Are you going to be selling that?
Wow! 🤩 so intriguing!! Will definitely be following !!!
Both are FABULOUS!

Love your art, so inspirational...
I really love these. I think your portrait pieces are including so much more narrative, moreso than the surrealist vintage portraits you've featured before.
Thank you so much!
This has inspired me!
Not a fan of magazine art. Otherwise, like your renovation series.
