@@REISSUED I saw someone on tiktok do merch on thrifted t-shirts, screenprinting over them. I thought that was so cool! (not someone I follow so I have no clue who it was)
Yes more thrifting videos please. I'm so glad that you got the Izod chinos with the dogs, they are way too interesting to pass up. You need to do a fall fashion video with all your thrifted finds. In our house, we are cheap too. We shop at Goodwill at least once a week and we tend to go trash picking in our condo building too, because people will throw out some amazing stuff when they are moving out.
@@REISSUED That is awesome! I got a super cool floor lamp with glass globes as well as two geometric end ttables that we are currently using as nightstands in our place. The only thing I'm hesitant to grab is upholstered furniture.
You did buy a view nice items, but when my husband and i visit New York this last Spring we tough that these prices are so much higher than here in Europe, so unfortunately we did not buying anything.... Love visiting Thrift stores and sometimes you can have a real barging ! Thanks taking us with you on your trip to the Thrift stores and thanks for sharing ! See you on the next video
Such great finds. I could have used the mosaic table on my balcony and the red lamps would be stunning with a shade change. You saw such great pieces on your trips. Dead jealous. Looking forward to seeing how you style the little wooden ornaments, Lovely.
yes! i found a vintage wood bread box with a roll top like that at SAvers recently for $7. cleaned it up nicely and it's perfect on my kitchen counter!
Look forward to seeing what you do with the Hemnes bookcases. You may know this already, but check the shelf support pegs. It was discovered that original pegs couldn’t accommodate the cabinet sides’ slight bowing, which caused shelves to collapse. (I encountered this myself.) IKEA has longer replacement pegs, which you can probably get free.
Loved the video! So many beutiful things. Here it's getting really cold and the leaves are starting to turn orange. Yesterday it was so cold that I made a pot of Earl Grey tea for the first time since spring. So cosy!
4:30 OMG YES!!! I’m soooo superstitious about a buggy!!! I never grab one when I go in and sometimes end up having to grab one in the middle of the trip because the STITIOUS IS SO SUPER!!!! 😍
by the end i started saying with you "but not at that price" haha i loved the extra DIY Diagnosis commentary thrown in, my fav was the stitched frame. so unique.
I just found a 55/45 linen/cotten floral duvet that’s begging to be a fall two piece. I love finding the perfect thing, even if I didn’t know I needed it. Thanks for taking us with you guys.
This was fun. Thanks for letting us tag along on your thrift odyssey. There are a few antique malls in my town and I only go for inspiration, never with intent to buy anything. Those lamps were... special. 😐😜
I've noticed that anytime I go into thrifting with an idea in mind, I close myself off to the possibilities of anything else. Love it when the right item is discovered, and solid NO to mosaics.
Funny, I hit the jackpot out thrifting today too. Good clothing, none of which I need, but just could not pass the items up because of the pricing. Also got some great stuff to complete my Wizard costume for Halloween this year ! And just 1 chachki.
I’m going to a cool new to me thrift store tomorrow. If it’s good, I’ll let you know where it is! Never been to that store in Decatur but it looks amazing. Love the lamps! 😍
I do love your thrifting videos, especially your commentary! And, yes, I do like mosaic things. I'm impressed with the work that goes into the creation. Some of those lamps were really interesting, but, yeah, so of those prices were kind of prohibitive. There was a piece that looked like maybe it was a hamper 10:28 that would have looked great in your bathroom. It would have matched the design of your walls, especially if painted the same color. Anyway, looking forward to more.
New subscriber was watching a couple of your videos and really enjoyed but yes I would love to see more DYI'S and how you style the items. Maybe I just missed thow's?? Looking forward to more
Your Goodwills are mine too. I love the smaller one, but I visit more than once a week. It’s almost hard to watch you thrift because I see stuff I want. I have found some really great jackets while thrifting. Those big white column shaped lights at the Atlanta store looked like ones in my old Church. They must be restocking at the smaller Goodwill, all the above the clothing racks shelves looked empty. Ohhh, new stuff coming! I also love the hunt.
I love that mosaics are in! I don't love them in every context (on the seat of a chair makes it crazy heavy), but every shape being framed like that is lovely
I’m a bit shocked you left the bamboo frame in the thrift shop, I would have rugby tackled you for that. I was lucky to find a great antique frame with hideous art in it and ordered a replacement piece on Esty. Loved what you picked up and can’t wait to see you in the shirts and to see how you use the other pieces in your home.
I know this is going to sound strange, but I have never been in a thrift store before, and I find your thrifting videos very interesting. I don't drive, so they are far from where I live, although I live in a city. I have to use public transit and that can be a pain, when buying large items and/or many items to take home.
Definitely a 2 or 3 lap shopper , especially in thrift and vintage stores ....I always go back in the opposite direction. You are definitely not crazy for being drawn to those lamps....not my style either, but I would have looked at them least twice!
I haven’t been thrifting this weekend but about a week ago I made a sojourn to the chungus Goodwill past the international district that is the size of a Kmart. Didn’t find a single VHS tape! I have been looking for kitschy ceramic 50’s wall art fish for my bathroom, but ended up with some really neat Italian porcelain instead! You and Matt should come up to Seattle and visit some of the thrift stores up here. We’ve got some good ones!
You're my charity shop distant Soul brother LOL I op' shopped before it's even popular or a thing & got so expensive. I've a list in my head & open to special items. I have to know where its going & no more trinkets! it needs a home/purpose! LOVE FANS I've a weakness for frames too! I may hide it go home & if I can't stop thinking about it I go back these days, my buffer lol
"60 degrees outside"... In the aftermath of Helene, the pretending might not be necessary for much longer. 🍂 Inside my favorite Goodwill, I need at least two laps, passing through the aisles in different directions each time. The lapels on that mustard blazer! 11:39 -- What's in front of the model ship? A pinkish bowl or dish? The color and freeform shape definitely caught my eye!
You have good thrift stores in your area. My area, north of Tampa, they've raised the prices in the stores. It's a shame to ask what they do, on some items, considering they're all donated.
04:48 That birdcage could be cute as Christmas décor. Place a white owl plushie inside it (or 5 big electric candles with different height and poinsettia), scatter fake snow on the bottom. Tie sprigs of pine needles branches, and topped with a big bow. Put it under your tree. It's unique and not your typical Gnomes or Nutcrackers. And you're right, the one on 17:03 is very pretty and luxurious (solid brass), but yikes, the price!
Matt and I have been hitting up estate sales more lately and have found some good stuff! And I don’t really see myself doing an antiques booth since I don’t love the resale game, BUT I will definitely have some pieces leftover after my house is done, so ya never know!
Thank you for keeping up the thrifting vibe. I am so tired and bored with the 'I picked up this little Hermes ring for our trip to NY...' Stop the 'tell me how much money you have without telling me' trash.
I detest thrift store shopping. It is so depressing. The awful smells and terrible lighting. Never will I wear another’s cast offs. I do not like in-store shopping, preferring to shop online. The times I’ve thrift store shopped, I found absolutely nothing worth buying. Junk, junk, junk. I lack the time and desire to frequent god-awful places like thrift stores. I do donate to charity shops, but our local Goodwill stores have ceased accepting/selling furniture. Yet another reason not to frequent thrift stores. I do enjoy a good antique store because they tend to be curated, though I understand that increases the prices. For me, atmosphere is everything. If the smells and lighting are hideous (and they are) my desire to shop is greatly diminished. I am nearing my 70s and have been planning a long-distance move as well as a Swedish Death Clean. So my local thrift store shoppers, get ready for my donations.
I find with Asian art I want to be cautious because it can skew into cringey Orientalism if you aren't mindful of how you're using it in your space. Admiring the art without exoticism.
Reissued merch idea! T-shirts with “but not at that price” printed on them.
Haha love it!

Yes to trash picking! Matt is the biggest curb shopper haha. He got a really cool vintage desk in the trash a couple weeks ago!
@@REISSUED That is awesome! I got a super cool floor lamp with glass globes as well as two geometric end ttables that we are currently using as nightstands in our place. The only thing I'm hesitant to grab is upholstered furniture.
Positivity, creativity and personality. A half hour with you is time well spent, Andrew, whatever we're doing!
Thanks David!
Always fun thrifting with you.
The next best thing to thrifting is watching you thrift. Great finds!
Being a creative, the ideas gleaned are as valuable as the purchased ones.

Always glad when your videos pop up. Absolutely well done! You always give me so much inspiration. Thank you!
Thanks Debbie!
I love the finds you made and the things you looked at. The Atlanta ReStore is so much bigger and nicer than the ones we have in the Boston area, LOL.
yes! i found a vintage wood bread box with a roll top like that at SAvers recently for $7. cleaned it up nicely and it's perfect on my kitchen counter!
I love that!
So fun to go thrifting with you and see how varied the selection is and the prices!

Haha I love this!
As an older woman ( hot flashes), I’m always looking for those nice Japanese silk fan. Very good find.
Hand fans got me through school and are great for church, city busses, summer picnic mosquitoes, etc.
omg i love that depression glass bowl! and for $5!!
I like the red lamps. It’s the hideous shades that make it weird.
THIS.

Dog chinos for the win!
The black pantheon (?) bowl lamp was breathtaking!

Any wait to see what you do with the bookcases for the living room, Andrew. Great finds both days! 👍😊💕
I love your videos. They have such a unique vibe & I love the usage of mixed media. Thank you for your art❤
I actually bought stuff this time! What's your favorite find of the weekend?
3:46 the mosaic tiled table is pretty cool❤
The shelving is a great find. Can't wait to see your improvements on them.
@@dr-fd8zn i can already see the surgery those shelves are going to go thru to make them a custom masterpiece, classic Reissued :D
favorite = wood ornaments for 10¢ each!

Hey neighbor! Which one are you referring to as the smaller Goodwill?
Hey Andrew, I love thrifting for decor items, beautiful, unique bowls, Italian, colorful dishes for oatmeal, pasta or yogurt
I love that mosaics are in! I don't love them in every context (on the seat of a chair makes it crazy heavy), but every shape being framed like that is lovely
I really loved those lamps with the striped shades too. ❤ That London Fog raincoat was a bargain
God I love a charity shop sale and 50% love love love!

Hideous lamps….Snap Out of It!

Nope not just you on those purple lamps, they caught my eye as well, and the aren't my style either . . .

"60 degrees outside"... In the aftermath of Helene, the pretending might not be necessary for much longer. 🍂

The lapels on that mustard blazer!

That first Goodwill was pricey! The last store was crazy with their prices too😢
I loved the store in Decatur (and the one right next door)! I needed a few thousand or so more dollars with me 😂
Happy to live in a country where there isn't so much season decorations, only for christmas ❤, can't watch Halloween
I used to keep toilet rolls in a bread bin.

😻
Good luck. I think you chose well.
Those geometric lights look like they came from a church. Or they belong in a church. :) Love your videos. New subscriber here.
Thanks! Glad you found me!
When I do a second look through the store I will go the opposite direction, you will notice things that you missed on your first go-around.
Great tip!
Frugal not cheap.

Re: the dirty baskets - Rajiv Surendra has a whole video about cleaning baskets
Was a lot of fun to join you! But maybe blur out the faces of strangers at the store?
First 😛
I think so many of the thrift stores prices are nuts lately.....
Why is that GW so expensive? Mine sells entire bedroom sets for 20. and delivers for 5. And if you offer a lower price they take it.
Thank you for keeping up the thrifting vibe. I am so tired and bored with the 'I picked up this little Hermes ring for our trip to NY...' Stop the 'tell me how much money you have without telling me' trash.
Not feeling the mosaic. It’s a round table and douse not present top, bottom, side so flowers should sit in yin Yang position.
It wasn't bigger on the inside 😢😂
Not feeling the mosaic
