I miss walking into Wal-Mart and seeing these on the shelves!
Here in Italy they were sold in a bundle with a VHS containing two matches of that specific wrestler. I had the Wolfpac Sting and the matches on the VHS were Sting vs Scott Hall and Sting vs Hollywood Hogan at Starrcade 97

Goldberg’s original “jobber” was a repainted Silver Surfer figure.
11:10 those weights came with ToyBiz 1991 X-Men Collossus figure.
The Toy Biz action figures changed wrestling toys for me. I have a growing MOC collection of these, still looking for a Konnan. Great video!
That weight from the last Goldberg variation originally came with the toy Biz Colossus figure from their Marvel Comics figures line.
I could watch videos like this all day. I can't wait to see what other videos you have in store.

There IS a variant of that single Giant action figure. They had him with and without the neckbrace. I have one with the neckbrace (just like the one in that two pack with Nash), I believe the Mysterio accessory looked the same with both variants.
Also, funny note, for the Goldberg Kaybee variant, those "space weights" are actually an accessory that had come with the action figure of Colossus, from XMen, also by ToyBiz.

Loved this video so much. The production is top notch. I have been collecting wrestling figures since the early 90's and following the hobby online since about 2003 but you still taught me a lot in this video. I can't even begin to tell you how well put together this video is. Looking forward to diving into your channel and seeing much more. Thank you sir.
Really appreciate this! Videos like this take a long time for me to make, but I have a couple more on the way (and am always working on stuff here and there). I'm gonna try and do a collection video next once my AJ Styles comes in mid-August. I'll have another doc-style video hopefully ready late August/early September for you guys. This is very well made video. It deserves more views/comments! I loved these figures as a kid. I had all of the main versions. I had no idea there were so many variants which is way cool.

That figure that came with the Goldberg in the Prototype picture is a repainted version of toy biz Silver Surfer from the Silver Surfer animated line with a different paint deco. It had really good articulation and I remember being really pissed that that didn't come with the Goldberg figure. Not only would have been fun or for him to wrestle but would have made an interesting adversary for the surfer to fight!

This is the series I first started buying wrestling figures for I was just a young lad but I remember me and my best friend were always on the look out for the variants of each character from all the variances you mentioned we had em. We also had a ring the had a scaffold inwhichyoucould have sting accent above the ring and it would play the wolf pac entrance that was triggered when you placed a figure on some sort of a platform. Another thing it had was silk fitted in the middle of the ring for which you had to hold down a figure and it would do a 1,2,3 count

I've always felt that any sort of "action movement" hindered action figures.
I honestly never liked it much with some exceptions in mind. Even as a kid I just wanted my figures to let me do the action. The worst offender was the Toybiz Sid who was always doing a perpetual can-can dance with that knee movement. I'll definitely cover that whenever I get around to doing another WCW Toybiz video.
It always seemed like ToyBiz was rather fond of the "action movements". Their figures were otherwise tremendous and have always pushed the importance of articulation. They really nailed most of the TNA figures in terms of playability (Elix Skipper, Sonjay Dutt, Chris Daniels, etc), but there were still a few that were virtually unplayable (Jeff Jarrett springs to mind).

These were some of the first wrestling action figures I ever had, so the video had me all nostalgic. I had Luger, DDP, Giant (+ Mysterio), Hall (red), and the Macho Man/Elizabeth 2-pack. The Giant figure is a thing of beauty; I even preferred it over the first few Jakks TTL versions of the Big Show!
I also had the Saturn and Piper figures that you showed (from other series), and I wanted Dennis Rodman but when I went back to the store, it was sold out :(
Oh man, this really brought back memories... Can't wait for the next videos!! (Hopefully including one about the Grip-n-Flip series lol.)
My very first wrestling figure was Goldberg slam n Slash series..after that, the next one was sting, the giant , macho man and Hulk Hogan...i grew up with this figures and i love this video for that reason. This figures made my childhood very very happy. great work man!

I remember when I was younger having so many WCW and WWF action figures. What I remember most, however, is that back then, Billy Kidman was my favorite wrestler and I never found a figure for him, so when I played with them, I'd use my white power ranger figure as Kidman. lol.

I still have the WCW smash nslam wolf pac sting since the 90s. My mom recently gave it to me. We still have a lot of sting stuff from back then since she's a huge sting fan at heart. I miss WCW alot I still like it more than any wwe product. During 97 to early 99 it was amazing. I was 3 when I started watching nitro and I even have a pic in early 98 where I took a pic with Kevin Nash.. Man the 90s were the best.

I like how even in the action figure lines, that the Smash N Slam Era figures.. competed against the WWF Bone Crunching & Early Titan Tron Live figures. Even the Nitro Arena had competed with the 1999 Raw TTLive stage & Attitude Ring.
Man I had all the Wolfpac figures, the Goldberg/Hogan two-pack and the ring. This takes me back

You are absolutely correct at the time these toys were amazing. I had so many WCW toys and the toybiz ones were easily my favorite of all my wrestling toys
One negative about being a kid was that I relied on my parents to buy me the toys so I was never able to get Macho Man or Scott Hall
I remember buying the Kevin Nash one here in Finland and it was first taste of pro wrestling in general. It came with a VHS with hilarious finnish dubbing of clipped WCW matches.
The Scott Hall and Sting from this set were the very first figures I ever got.
It kickstarted my collection of figures and probably my love for wrestling in general
I received the vibrating ones for Christmas, as well. It was definitely weird and a little embarrassing. Please keep making these videos!

Probably my favorite wrestling toy line. Toy Biz was my childhood. WCW, Resident Evil, & X-Men. Rey should've gotten his own toy in his WCW/nWo Revenge Spiderman attire.

I use to get my mom to take me to so many stores to get all those variants. My favorite wrestling figure line of all time. Hollywood Hogan figure was sooo cool as a kid. Man the good day!
I had most of these back in the day. I had that version of Giant as my WWF Heavyweight champion only to be shockingly defeated for the title by Crash Holly.
The t gold dust signature series with the bone crushing knee was my first ever wrestling figure!
I had Hall, Hogan, Giant and Wolf Pack Sting and a Sting/Hogan two pack... as well as the 'Ring Master' version of Goldberg, looking like a Village People reject as a Construction worker with a Jack hammer accessory, and Lugar as a medieval Executioner, complete with pole Ax, and a Torture Rack accessory (pretty sure that the accessory had more plastic in it than the figure itself did) that appeared to double as a stockade, but the dimensions were such you couldn't actually put anyone in said stockade w/o risking breaking the toy, nor use both devices at the same time
in Finland these figures came with VHS tapes that had recorded matches of wrestler that figure was based on.
like Goldberg figure had tape that showed his matches against Mr Perfect, Kevin Nash and Bang Bang Bigelow.
My Cousin and I went crazy back in the day buying up these figures for WCW, we were pleased that they were way better than the WWE ones were back then. They were not hard to find as our local Ames store carried them like crazy bedsides Kay B Toys

Smash n slam figures were my favorite from wcw. I still have Kevin Nash, both red and white stings, unopened and opened hollywood hogan, and both Scott halls, and last the giant.
These were the best wrestling toys as a kid. WWF/WWE figures never looked as good or played as well. One of Kevin Nash's legs did break off our figure, though.

Hehe i was in high school during the monday night wars. I never like red sting. When this figure line was release in stores. I was so glad for the crow variant Sting that includes with Hollywood Hogan. Its so awesome how it includes the championship belt
I have some of these figures boxed, but here in Sweden they came bundled with a VHS tape containing a couple of matches and some commercials. I haven't seen ANY information about these on the internet though...

I have the original hogan figure but it has fake blood all over him with permanent marker. That figure and a jeff Hardy mesh shirt were my favourite to use

My very first Wrestling figure was LJN junkyard dog. I got it for Christmas 1985. Now I own over 350 MOC figs.
I have most of those figures. I wish the mini wrestlers that came with Goldberg and The Giant were to scale though as I could have had some more midcarders to add to my collection.

I remember when these and wcw nitro video game came out I felt like wcw had the edge over wwf with their bone crunchers and their video game war zone.
I had at least one of all of them, I remember the Goldberg a little different tho. I hated that the Wolfpac Stings elbows didn't bend
Those weights with Goldberg are a reuse of an accessory from Toy Biz's first series of X-Men figures. They originally came with Colossus.
