Here in Italy they were sold in a bundle with a VHS containing two matches of that specific wrestler. I had the Wolfpac Sting and the matches on the VHS were Sting vs Scott Hall and Sting vs Hollywood Hogan at Starrcade 97
There IS a variant of that single Giant action figure. They had him with and without the neckbrace. I have one with the neckbrace (just like the one in that two pack with Nash), I believe the Mysterio accessory looked the same with both variants. Also, funny note, for the Goldberg Kaybee variant, those "space weights" are actually an accessory that had come with the action figure of Colossus, from XMen, also by ToyBiz.
This is very well made video. It deserves more views/comments! I loved these figures as a kid. I had all of the main versions. I had no idea there were so many variants which is way cool.
Loved this video so much. The production is top notch. I have been collecting wrestling figures since the early 90's and following the hobby online since about 2003 but you still taught me a lot in this video. I can't even begin to tell you how well put together this video is. Looking forward to diving into your channel and seeing much more. Thank you sir.
Really appreciate this! Videos like this take a long time for me to make, but I have a couple more on the way (and am always working on stuff here and there). I'm gonna try and do a collection video next once my AJ Styles comes in mid-August. I'll have another doc-style video hopefully ready late August/early September for you guys. Thanks again - I def want to keep this train rolling!
That figure that came with the Goldberg in the Prototype picture is a repainted version of toy biz Silver Surfer from the Silver Surfer animated line with a different paint deco. It had really good articulation and I remember being really pissed that that didn't come with the Goldberg figure. Not only would have been fun or for him to wrestle but would have made an interesting adversary for the surfer to fight!
This is the series I first started buying wrestling figures for I was just a young lad but I remember me and my best friend were always on the look out for the variants of each character from all the variances you mentioned we had em. We also had a ring the had a scaffold inwhichyoucould have sting accent above the ring and it would play the wolf pac entrance that was triggered when you placed a figure on some sort of a platform. Another thing it had was silk fitted in the middle of the ring for which you had to hold down a figure and it would do a 1,2,3 count
love the video man, always been interested in doing some wrestling figure videos as it's always been my number one collection and passion outside of games. I remember these figures coming out and even picking up the variants. Always thought the jobber Reys were messed up lol
My very first wrestling figure was Goldberg slam n Slash series..after that, the next one was sting, the giant , macho man and Hulk Hogan...i grew up with this figures and i love this video for that reason. This figures made my childhood very very happy. great work man!
I like how even in the action figure lines, that the Smash N Slam Era figures.. competed against the WWF Bone Crunching & Early Titan Tron Live figures. Even the Nitro Arena had competed with the 1999 Raw TTLive stage & Attitude Ring.
You earned a subscription today, my man! These were some of the first wrestling action figures I ever had, so the video had me all nostalgic. I had Luger, DDP, Giant (+ Mysterio), Hall (red), and the Macho Man/Elizabeth 2-pack. The Giant figure is a thing of beauty; I even preferred it over the first few Jakks TTL versions of the Big Show! I also had the Saturn and Piper figures that you showed (from other series), and I wanted Dennis Rodman but when I went back to the store, it was sold out :( Oh man, this really brought back memories... Can't wait for the next videos!! (Hopefully including one about the Grip-n-Flip series lol.)
I remember when I was younger having so many WCW and WWF action figures. What I remember most, however, is that back then, Billy Kidman was my favorite wrestler and I never found a figure for him, so when I played with them, I'd use my white power ranger figure as Kidman. lol.
I honestly never liked it much with some exceptions in mind. Even as a kid I just wanted my figures to let me do the action. The worst offender was the Toybiz Sid who was always doing a perpetual can-can dance with that knee movement. I'll definitely cover that whenever I get around to doing another WCW Toybiz video.
It always seemed like ToyBiz was rather fond of the "action movements". Their figures were otherwise tremendous and have always pushed the importance of articulation. They really nailed most of the TNA figures in terms of playability (Elix Skipper, Sonjay Dutt, Chris Daniels, etc), but there were still a few that were virtually unplayable (Jeff Jarrett springs to mind).
The Scott Hall and Sting from this set were the very first figures I ever got. It kickstarted my collection of figures and probably my love for wrestling in general
I have some of these figures boxed, but here in Sweden they came bundled with a VHS tape containing a couple of matches and some commercials. I haven't seen ANY information about these on the internet though...
I remember buying the Kevin Nash one here in Finland and it was first taste of pro wrestling in general. It came with a VHS with hilarious finnish dubbing of clipped WCW matches.
I had Hall, Hogan, Giant and Wolf Pack Sting and a Sting/Hogan two pack... as well as the 'Ring Master' version of Goldberg, looking like a Village People reject as a Construction worker with a Jack hammer accessory, and Lugar as a medieval Executioner, complete with pole Ax, and a Torture Rack accessory (pretty sure that the accessory had more plastic in it than the figure itself did) that appeared to double as a stockade, but the dimensions were such you couldn't actually put anyone in said stockade w/o risking breaking the toy, nor use both devices at the same time
in Finland these figures came with VHS tapes that had recorded matches of wrestler that figure was based on. like Goldberg figure had tape that showed his matches against Mr Perfect, Kevin Nash and Bang Bang Bigelow.
Subscribed after first 20 seconds, my first series as a kid still have a few. Love the video, about to binge watch them all lol. Would love to see the other WCW lines and Jakks (ecspecially classic superstars) if looking for ideas. Keep up the great work, amazing videos
Appreciate it! I definitely want to do another WCW Toybiz video some day, and CS deserves its own sub-series with how much there is to cover. Would really like to get to CS sometime in the near future - made a few graphic assets for it already, so it's definitely on the big "To Do" list haha.
You are absolutely correct at the time these toys were amazing. I had so many WCW toys and the toybiz ones were easily my favorite of all my wrestling toys One negative about being a kid was that I relied on my parents to buy me the toys so I was never able to get Macho Man or Scott Hall
Probably my favorite wrestling toy line. Toy Biz was my childhood. WCW, Resident Evil, & X-Men. Rey should've gotten his own toy in his WCW/nWo Revenge Spiderman attire.
My Cousin and I went crazy back in the day buying up these figures for WCW, we were pleased that they were way better than the WWE ones were back then. They were not hard to find as our local Ames store carried them like crazy bedsides Kay B Toys
Smash n slam figures were my favorite from wcw. I still have Kevin Nash, both red and white stings, unopened and opened hollywood hogan, and both Scott halls, and last the giant.
I got Madman Randy Savage but I had no idea who he was (for xmas I think it was) I then later got a Kevin Nash (shown at 2:04 but it didnt come with that man, it came with the little man that is with Goldberg lol).
I had most of these back in the day. I had that version of Giant as my WWF Heavyweight champion only to be shockingly defeated for the title by Crash Holly.
I use to get my mom to take me to so many stores to get all those variants. My favorite wrestling figure line of all time. Hollywood Hogan figure was sooo cool as a kid. Man the good day!
These were the best wrestling toys as a kid. WWF/WWE figures never looked as good or played as well. One of Kevin Nash's legs did break off our figure, though. Would've loved to have that Giant with the neck brace
I had Wolfpack Sting, Kevin Nash with red fringe, Scott hall w sting mask, and I can’t remember having Lex Luger, but I distinctly remover having the police accessory so I guess I did? I had a Goldberg from a different line, he had on jeans, a jackhammer and hard hat, and a green tongue. Lmao don’t know why
I used to have the white sting, lost his head tho....when i was younger I tried to fly him on a paper airplane and his head popped off in neighbors yard Ps: I had the wcw ring with the stretchy piece in the middle
I have the original hogan figure but it has fake blood all over him with permanent marker. That figure and a jeff Hardy mesh shirt were my favourite to use
Hehe i was in high school during the monday night wars. I never like red sting. When this figure line was release in stores. I was so glad for the crow variant Sting that includes with Hollywood Hogan. Its so awesome how it includes the championship belt
I have most of those figures. I wish the mini wrestlers that came with Goldberg and The Giant were to scale though as I could have had some more midcarders to add to my collection.
as a rey collector ive been looking for that blue rey its only one im missing i have both the flat and curved belt goldberg just cant find the blue one ever
So strange... I live in Scranton PA and I feel like our Toys R Us and KB Stores were always the last and WORST getting Smash n Slam Figures in stock. I was 11 years old calling the stores every day looking for Scott Hall... not in white or black mind you... Just in general. He was my fav of all time and I HATED the old hard plastic one. To this day the Smash n Slam Scott Hall is my favorite figure (of my favorite wrestler) of all time. Anyway, being a mark aside and despite thise stores sucking ass I have all the rare weird variants. Black n White Macho (WITH LIZ!), Wolfpäc Sting both Scott Halls naturally. But I'm super proud that living through such awful stock issues as a kid I have some rare goodies!
I miss walking into Wal-Mart and seeing these on the shelves!
Here in Italy they were sold in a bundle with a VHS containing two matches of that specific wrestler. I had the Wolfpac Sting and the matches on the VHS were Sting vs Scott Hall and Sting vs Hollywood Hogan at Starrcade 97
I remember these too!
11:10 those weights came with ToyBiz 1991 X-Men Collossus figure.
The Toy Biz action figures changed wrestling toys for me. I have a growing MOC collection of these, still looking for a Konnan. Great video!
I could watch videos like this all day. I can't wait to see what other videos you have in store.
Dfreedom30 Wrong!
me to bro
That weight from the last Goldberg variation originally came with the toy Biz Colossus figure from their Marvel Comics figures line.
Goldberg’s original “jobber” was a repainted Silver Surfer figure.
This is very well made video. It deserves more views/comments! I loved these figures as a kid. I had all of the main versions. I had no idea there were so many variants which is way cool.
Loved this video so much. The production is top notch. Keep this channel going. I will support it.

Not only would have been fun or for him to wrestle but would have made an interesting adversary for the surfer to fight!
Great video! I love it! I used to be the biggest ToyBiz WCW collector!
4:27 According to the package Sting "trademarked" carrying a bat and wearing a coat...he really was ahead of his time, lol
This is the series I first started buying wrestling figures for I was just a young lad but I remember me and my best friend were always on the look out for the variants of each character from all the variances you mentioned we had em. Omg dude i think i had all the ezlxact same things u di especially many hrs spent playing on that to g
Great radio voice/voice over work man. Very informative and I am looking forward to more videos. Some great nostalgia here.
This bring back memories 😁 I had Goldberg, DDP, Kevin Nash, sting, lex Lugar, macho man, and the giant.
"...fox (faux) leather trenchcoat..." HAHA! otherwise a great video. love the old WCW toy lines, as a kid I had my fair share of them.
I still have all my smash and slam figures in great condition even Jericho in the box
Thanks for the shoutout on the video for the prototype sting head pic! Awesome video! Great line! Still have a set!
Great stuff, man! Very nostalgic. Best of luck to you.
love the video man, always been interested in doing some wrestling figure videos as it's always been my number one collection and passion outside of games. I remember these figures coming out and even picking up the variants. Always thought the jobber Reys were messed up lol
You do some great work, sir. Please keep it up! Your videos are fascinating!
My very first wrestling figure was Goldberg slam n Slash series..after that, the next one was sting, the giant , macho man and Hulk Hogan...i grew up with this figures and i love this video for that reason. This figures made my childhood very very happy. great work man!
Just subbed, love this channel. I still have the Giant, Mysterio sadly broke, he's scuffed as I was a kid, but it takes me back, thank u 😊
i miss WCW so much. and you lit the 90's child in me! thank you sir. P:S you sound like Raiden from Metal Gear..lol
Wish I had had kept my Smash 'n Slam Macho Man, Sting and DDP, great figures. Thanks for the video series.
I like how even in the action figure lines, that the Smash N Slam Era figures.. competed against the WWF Bone Crunching & Early Titan Tron Live figures. Even the Nitro Arena had competed with the 1999 Raw TTLive stage & Attitude Ring.
But like, who disliked this awesome video? This was perfection 👌
These videos are amazing! You've got a new subscriber!
You earned a subscription today, my man!

Look like Rey Mysterious Jr. got screwed over.
Hogan got paid for it

I've always felt that any sort of "action movement" hindered action figures.

I had so many of these figures when I was a kid. They blew away the WWF figures I had at the time. I would love to have them again.
I still have my figures of these. And my Kevin Nash ones have their legs broken.
Ya mine eventually had one broken leg too guess these were Kevin nash voodoo figures
What a high quality video! You are very knowledgeable and interesting! Great content! 😊
Man I had all the Wolfpac figures, the Goldberg/Hogan two-pack and the ring. This takes me back
The Scott Hall and Sting from this set were the very first figures I ever got.

I used to have the wcw ring and randy savage action figure when I was a kid. Still have macho figure
I forgot all about slam force! I had a sting from that line. Thanks for the blast from the past!
Glad i stumbled across your videos. Great stuff
Subscribed, your videos are great. Please keep up the great work.
Loved the smash 'n' slam series , had all of them , great time to be a wrestling fan in the late 90's🤘
I had all those figures. I wish I still had em
1:54 Pretty accurate recreation of Nash's actual Jackknife to the Giant
Awesome Video, I still got my WCW Toy Biz figures. Would be great if you do another Video about the other Toy Biz series.
I received the vibrating ones for Christmas, as well. It was definitely weird and a little embarrassing. Please keep making these videos!
I'm not gonna say too much but the vibrating Kevin Nash served as my first vibrator >.> ....that was too much, wasn't it?
Same here.
No ma'am... More information please
Nikki Wright wait....FIRST?.
U go girl
Mine was the vibrating Jim Cornet
I had Hall, Hogan, Giant and Wolf Pack Sting and a Sting/Hogan two pack... as well as the 'Ring Master' version of Goldberg, looking like a Village People reject as a Construction worker with a Jack hammer accessory, and Lugar as a medieval Executioner, complete with pole Ax, and a Torture Rack accessory (pretty sure that the accessory had more plastic in it than the figure itself did) that appeared to double as a stockade, but the dimensions were such you couldn't actually put anyone in said stockade w/o risking breaking the toy, nor use both devices at the same time
I had the Scott hall figure at 1:31
Hi,
This Figures are great. I got Sting from this Serie. Bought him 1998 and I still got him. You can see him in my Sting review.
Love your toys videos. Just subscribed!
in Finland these figures came with VHS tapes that had recorded matches of wrestler that figure was based on.
like Goldberg figure had tape that showed his matches against Mr Perfect, Kevin Nash and Bang Bang Bigelow.
Subscribed after first 20 seconds, my first series as a kid still have a few. Love the video, about to binge watch them all lol. Would love to see the other WCW lines and Jakks (ecspecially classic superstars) if looking for ideas. Keep up the great work, amazing videos

One negative about being a kid was that I relied on my parents to buy me the toys so I was never able to get Macho Man or Scott Hall
I remember my brother and I having The Giant, DDP and Lex Luger!
I had at least one of all of them, I remember the Goldberg a little different tho. I hated that the Wolfpac Stings elbows didn't bend
I had the Savage in red and black. I wish I still had him lol
I had the white and black randy savage I had him. And about a year ago gave him a some figures away
Also, not to nit-pick, but "faux" is pronounced "foe", not "fox". Love your videos otherwise.
I have the worst habit of saying "fox" for "fo" - I said it incorrectly for the longest time and still have to keep trying to correct myself, haha.
No worries, it just took me a while to realize that the trench coat wasn't made from fox lol
Wrestling Figure Legacy made me giggle.
Faux News
prolly how I know a tortilla pronounced tor-tee-ah, but I still call em tor-till-ah just because.
Your show is awesome my friend love retro wrestling figures
Smash n slam figures were my favorite from wcw. I still have Kevin Nash, both red and white stings, unopened and opened hollywood hogan, and both Scott halls, and last the giant.
I had that DDP figure and yeah, I distinctly remember being pretty limited in what we could do with him
I got Madman Randy Savage but I had no idea who he was (for xmas I think it was) I then later got a Kevin Nash (shown at 2:04 but it didnt come with that man, it came with the little man that is with Goldberg lol).
I had most of these back in the day. I had that version of Giant as my WWF Heavyweight champion only to be shockingly defeated for the title by Crash Holly.
Still have a bunch of these
Loved these... they were pretty spiffy for there time... thats a great issue of toyfare as well.... i miss that magazine...
I really miss these days, i really really do
I use to get my mom to take me to so many stores to get all those variants. My favorite wrestling figure line of all time. Hollywood Hogan figure was sooo cool as a kid. Man the good day!
i still have the giant slam n smash fig....and by watching this....i also remembered having Rey with him....good times
These were the best wrestling toys as a kid. WWF/WWE figures never looked as good or played as well. One of Kevin Nash's legs did break off our figure, though.
Would've loved to have that Giant with the neck brace
Don't you dare make me want to collect these MOC.. Don't you dare.
would like to see you cover the 90s mini wwf figure sets that came with mini action rings
This was kind of like a commercial for Mattel
I had Wolfpack Sting, Kevin Nash with red fringe, Scott hall w sting mask, and I can’t remember having Lex Luger, but I distinctly remover having the police accessory so I guess I did? I had a Goldberg from a different line, he had on jeans, a jackhammer and hard hat, and a green tongue. Lmao don’t know why
great vid. keep them coming
I don't know if they did that in the italian versions only, but with every action figure there was a VHS with two matches of the superstar or so.
I used to have the white sting, lost his head tho....when i was younger I tried to fly him on a paper airplane and his head popped off in neighbors yard
Ps: I had the wcw ring with the stretchy piece in the middle
The ones I bought way back came with a VHS tape possibly a re-release
RIP this channel, still see you on wrestling figs forum
I have the original hogan figure but it has fake blood all over him with permanent marker. That figure and a jeff Hardy mesh shirt were my favourite to use
Hehe i was in high school during the monday night wars. I never like red sting. When this figure line was release in stores. I was so glad for the crow variant Sting that includes with Hollywood Hogan. Its so awesome how it includes the championship belt
I have most of those figures. I wish the mini wrestlers that came with Goldberg and The Giant were to scale though as I could have had some more midcarders to add to my collection.
Those weights with Goldberg are a reuse of an accessory from Toy Biz's first series of X-Men figures. They originally came with Colossus.
Nice , I still have all these figures mentioned.
17:13 Looks like that stupid wrestler from late in the WCW's existence. That one with ties to KISS.
That KB Goldberg variant came with the same barbell as the first toy biz Colossus figure.
The t gold dust signature series with the bone crushing knee was my first ever wrestling figure!
I have Hogan, the sting/Hogan 2 pack, White Hall, and the variant Nash figure. I have basically all WCW Hogan figures post 96.
Awesome video!!
as a rey collector ive been looking for that blue rey its only one im missing i have both the flat and curved belt goldberg just cant find the blue one ever
Poor Rey Mysterio was reduced to being an accessory.
I had Kevin Nash, Scot Hall, DDP and Goldberg ,but I do not remember him coming with the title or the jobber or the weights...
I had the white and black Scott hall awesome figure and the table he came with was awesome
I remember when these and wcw nitro video game came out I felt like wcw had the edge over wwf with their bone crunchers and their video game war zone.
So strange... I live in Scranton PA and I feel like our Toys R Us and KB Stores were always the last and WORST getting Smash n Slam Figures in stock.
