    This video holds a special place in my heart, I remember my mom buying me this tape back in the day for my 7th birthday. I remember I was a bit bummed out because I was such a WWF fan at that time and knew very little about WCW outside of the NWO, but I’m glad she had got it for me. This video is what got me interested in actually watching WCW and made me a fan of Sting, and I still own it till this day even though I no longer own a VCR 😂

      So funny, I was a huge WWF fan and didn't like WCW much until Hall and Nash defected. I remember running out of WWF videos to rent at Blockbuster and "settling" for WCW videos and that filled in so many blanks of cross federation fueds and storylines. Crazy how hard it was then to stay plugged into everything.

    • @Kramerica962
      @Kramerica962 Год назад +2

      @@DimJongUn I was always more of a WCW fan but still watched WWF every week. I would watch Nitro live every Monday night and tape RAW is War on the VHS player in our other room. I used to wake up at like 4 AM on Tuesday morning so I could watch all of RAW before school in the morning because all my friends were WWF marks and would spoil the show for me if I didn't watch it before school. I never missed a Nitro or a WCW PPV though.
      Damn I miss those days so much.

    • @DimJongUn
      @DimJongUn Год назад +3

      @@Kramerica962 a lot of it was regional. I grew up in the northwest and the nwa territory there was already fading in the early 90s when I became a fan. We had WWF and then this weird channel that also randomly showed the Atlanta Braves had some other type of wrestling on Saturdays. That was my exposure to the early WCW. Ended up loving both promotions in retrospect.

News, Mantaur, Jules Strongbow, Bearcat Wright ( WWE Hall Of Famer class of 2017 ), and The Dusek Family, Wylie G Woodruff from Tecumseh Nebraska, John Pesek from Ravenna Nebraska, Tony Stecher from Dodge Nebraska and the legendary Gorgeous George ( my Mom's all time favorite wrestler ) is from Butte Nebraska not to mention that the legendary Mad Dog Vachon lived in Omaha Nebraska from 1987 until his death in 2013 I was lucky enough to talk to Mad Dog on more than a few occasions her was a great and funny guy he is truly missed There are a few other rustlers who have a connection to Nebraska. The "Stinger Splash" was one of those great setup moves for the finisher. Like Rock's spinebuster before the People's Elbow, it could come out of nowhere and get the crowd pumped with anticipation of what's next. Hogan's "setup" took 1.5 minutes, lol. The no-sell, start pacing around the ring and pumping your hands while you no sell another, and another, then stop and wag the finger, block the next telegraphed shot, punch him a few times, shoot him into the ropes, big boot, leg drop, tadah. Austin's quick kick to the gut before the Stunner was a good one too, as was Shawn Michaels' "tuning up the band".
