I posted this comment earlier but maybe you all might not have seen it. But lemme answer some FAQ's Q1: Why were they just staring at the music videos? Did they not like it? A: Honestly I think it's a difference of culture but this is not the first time I have shown my Korean friends music from Africa, I have shown many friends and they all do the same thing. At first I thought "why aren't they bobbing their heads why aren't they making comments? they must not like it." I came to realize that many of my Korean friends focus deeply on the music and the video so they can carefully assess it. Some of the comments they made were things that even I never thought of before. All of the friends in this video actually really liked the songs and some of them told me to write the names of the songs down for them so they can listen to it more. Q2: Why did you pick these particular songs? A: One reason is because these are some personal favoites. Although it's not shown in the video, I told my friends that what I showed them is a tidbit of a bigger pool of African music out there. The BIGGEST REASON: I personally wanted to show songs that had meaning and that conveys a message deeper than "girl whine up your waist" or "shake you bum bum" because alot of popular African songs are about that or along those lines. Yes, I want to show them more dancey/lively songs at some point, I wanted to show them something that makes them go "ahhh there is Art coming out of Africa". Considering that the image of non Asian women (especially white and black women) among Koreans is that we are "easy" and "slutty" and considering how impressionable some Koreans can be, I figured a song like, let's say, Daddy Yo by Wizkid would not be a good first choice video. Plus whether people like the songs or not, those of us who listen to African music (mainly Afrobeats, Dancehall, etc) cannot deny that the songs I showed are some pretty popular tracks, no listener of African music can say honestly that Wizkid's Ojuelegba wasn't a hit (shoo Wizkid himself is a big name), or that Tiwa Savage isn't out here killing the game, or that Stonebwoy isn't one of the biggest names in Ghanaian dancehall. Plus Africa is the second biggest continent in the world so one can only imagine how diverse the music is. Please, keep in mind that the most difficult part of making this video was choosing songs. As an African and someone who has listened to African music pretty much all my life, trust me I know there are so many songs I could have shown. But there will be a part 2 coming soon! Just stay tuned and once again thanks everyone for the love. p.s. The songs in part 2 consist of 2 songs that were voted for by YOU all. So abeg if your favorite song isn't shown, vote next time. ahhh and to ease some hearts out there I will change the title from African -----> West African.
Anna Nicole Bee nice video good job👍🏽👍🏽. But I'll like to correct you on tiwas song. The song says if she starts talking about all the blessings God has given her she wldnt be able to say it all(e no go end) bcs of the numerous blessings God has given her. I would love to see a part 2 though. Again nice job more grease to ur elbow
Good job, really enjoyed the video. Quick correction though, you were wrong about the meaning of tiwa savage's song "if i start to talk". The song basically says if i start to talk about all the things God has done for me, there will be no end, in other words,i won't be able to stop talking about God's goodness to me
Why can't you guys ever be satisfied? This video was supposed to be about exposing Koreans to our style of music, but all some of you are focused on is the fact that she didn't include your countries music. Is she really supposed to include the different 54 countries in Africa's music in a 10-minute video? Maybe she herself hasn't even heard of those songs. She chose what she knew, and from the feedback from her friends, i think she did a damn good job. What you could have done is a request for another video showing a more variety of songs produced in Africa, not badger her about not exposing everyone. On a side note, you did such a good job girl and your Korean is impressive, really enjoyed this video :)
I'm East African, but part of the reason is that most of us were like "What are these songs?" I knew only one of them. Also, heavily centered around West Africa like the rest of Africa doesn't exist. To me, it just felt like she wasn't exposed to African music... Like, if you've been to an African club, you know what's hot or at the very least, there is Coke Studio Africa (they have a youtube channel) and you can widen your range on different African artists. It's kind of like when I see someone introducing my culture's food and they introduce something no one ever eats except one tribe...
Rimu N The thing is that to post a video on RUclips is free so there's nothing stopping you from posting your own video. She's from west Africa therefore she'll most likely listen to a majority of West African songs. If you as an East African feel not represented, then YOU represent and show other cultures YOUR music not wait for someone else to do so.
thank you!!! humans will complain about everything. I'm sure there are people that complain mother Theresa didn't personally help them. Na wa!!! I love this video!
OMG I WAS SO HAPPY ALMOST CRIED WHEN THAT GIRL ASKED "IS IT IN SWAHILI?" AND I'M LIKE YOU KNOW THAT MY LANGUAGE EXIST THERE IN SOUTH-KOREA? CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME A PILLOW I'M GONNA CRY :'(. I LOVE THAT GIRL!!! CHINCHA CHOAYO, SARANGHAE *makes a love shape over my head"
Na mimi pia nilishangaa Kabisa. Nilifundisha Kiswahili Napa Amerikani Zamani. Je, unatoka wapi? Kenya? Tanzania? Congo? Nilijifunza Kiswahili (kingwana) huko Congo karibu na Bunia)
Hey what you do is really interesting I am Ivorian and here are some songs that made the buzz in africa: -Tekno pana -Do it like that korede bello -BM makolongulu And here are some songs from francophone africa: -tere tere toofan -kiff no beat ft stelair génération chiller -kiname fally ipupa ft booba good luck😉
Iman Manjotel I like you list cause it incorporates music from other countries instead of just Nigeria and Ghana. Makolongulu is an awesome song too. Proud Congolese girl over here Lol!!!!
No offense but ur foolish. This video is about exposing Koreans and letting us know what they think about our music and how it reflects in other parts of the world. It's not about top musics out there try to understand things.
Your Korean is a credit to you! Being African and speaking a language which you wouldn't expect from a sis like yourself and then educating others of the African music scene is absolutely amazing. Afrobeats all the way!!!!
I'm African American and this is the first time I heard someone break down Ghanian music. I honestly do not think it can be compared to music in the States because the messages are completely different. Yeah, there are uplifting/encouraging songs made in the states, but in my opinion, I would rather hear the message relayed within the music in this video. I like how all three singers had a sense of humbleness, gratitude, and appreciation for God's blessing. You will hardly ever hear a song similar to that in the United States unless you on the gospel station. I honestly wish I could understand it, because I would rather listen to those songs more.
What is ghana? A farmland or a village? They are talking about real musics from Nigeria and you are bringing up a village local artist from Ghanaians! Pls learn to respect international artists in Nigeria
Great idea I enjoyed the video. You appear to be a positive open minded individual. What saddens me is all the negativity in the comment section. The nerve of some people. Im applaud at how you being Ghanaian from West Africa decided to do a video about your heritage and getting so much push back. Again the nerve of people wanting to change up or redirect your video. Ok we get it, Africa is a continent! Why would you being from West Africa introduce your Korean friends South or East African music???? Rather irritated by all these people, continue to do you rep your culture. For all these negative people go direct your own video and rep wherever you're from!
Great vid. It's interesting to hear/read what Koreans think about African music because from what I've seen in my time here, they get little to no exposure. Not that that's any different from what black Americans get where I come from. Really appreciate the effort to film and translate all that dialogue :D
Thanks so much! I truly appreciate this. I worked really hard filming, editing, and subbing this video but I was worried about the response. But I'm glad that you enjoyed it!
Anna Nicole Bee this was the best idea ever. this is important work that can be looked at from so many different angles - musical, sociological, linguistic, cultural, etc. And it was so well done! The camera angles, the audio, the guests, the soft background music, the translations, your questions... wow, all on point! Are you a communications major? You're a pro! can't wait to see more.
I'm Ghanaian and I loved this video so much. Stonebwoy actually sounds just like that so it's not really auto tuned. Plus, Ghana and Nigeria both speak English even though we both have our own different dialects within the different tribes in each of our countries.
Hey, just went through some of the comments, and honestly some people just post without thought. I'm sure you are more familiar with Ghana and Naija music, so I'm wondering why people would ask you to talk about music you really have no idea about🤷🏽♀️. You did an awesome job girl, you said West African music and the countries you mentioned fall under them. Keep up the good work👍🏾
Nice....Thanks for spreading the message...they had archaic understanding of African music but your unique form of education did the trick...they all had an "ahah" moment back there...
I love this!!!! The first song by wizkid the language is Yoruba ,same as Tiwa savage. I think all the songs you picked were great. This is Afrobeats. I hope you do this again!!! Davido If, Runtown mad over you, Mr eazi leg over, Yemi alade johnny etc all good songs.
omg thanks so much! I've been listening to wizkid and Tiwa but I've always wondered what language they spoke. I'm only good with the meaning of the songs if it's in Twi. lol But thanks for the reccomendations
Anna Nicole Bee what you did is awesome and please continue , dont stop to portrait the good side of Africans and lets change the stereotype.. whatever music, rhythm you choose to review qith your friends, what matters is that they ( koreans and other part of the world) are given the opportunity to view albeit a tiny window as yours , who and what we have in Africa.. thanks for your good work
From all the Koreans react videos I've watched Korean seem to be very analytical, I like that. They don't just jump to conclusion, they observe then react.
Omg!! I needed this in my life!! If you are taking suggestions, do Reekado Banks - Sugar Baby and Mukoko - Ammara Brown (It's from Zimbabwe)!! Love this!! As others said, our music can get rid of some stigma.
I think the exposure of African music to your Korean friends was amazing. What I'd like to see next time is a connection made between African music and their music, and with you being American, the connection between African American music and their music. Much of their music, especially in Kpop, hip-hop, and rnb sounds, are in fact influenced by the African American sound. I do much research when it comes to culture and music, and I've discovered that many of the Korean artists work with African American producers. Take Dean for example, I believe he is Korean, but his sound comes from African American influence. I think in showing the derivatives of our (African American and African), and the derivatives of their pop and hip-hop with the intent to educate a culture about ours, and to build a closer and fond relationship between the two cultures would be great. Music has always had a way in connecting people because of the stories told, the emotions shared, and the cultural influences shared.
Cool video; the translations were good for the most part; Ojuelegba is basically talking about Wizkid's background like you said, and more specifically about how the people in Ojuelegba (a poor area where he's from) know how hard life was for him and so how thankful he is. Your translation for Tiwa's song was less accurate: instead of Not bragging, Tiwa is actually humble-bragging in this song; she says literally "If I start to say the things God has done for me, my brothers/ sisters the list will never end" and then goes on to list several things for which she is thankful and gives thanks to God (it is mostly a praise song). I'd like to see more videos like this, it was cool to watch, if a little cringey at the preconcieved notions of what African music should/ would sound like.
thanks for your comment! Yea I took a stab with the Tiwa song and found out a day or two later what the song relly meant, after I already uploaded the video (haha my luck). But I put it in the description so people could check it out lol
I like this- we need to get rid of the stigma of generalizing Africa and its people/culture! Though Caro by Wizkid or Hakuna Matata by KCee or Fuse ODG (Ie Antenna or Azonto) would be good ones to do if you do this again :) Eminando by Tiwa Savage too :)
I'm so glad you like it! and thanks for the recommendations! there's so much I would love to show them so if I end up doing this again then my biggest challenge would be narrowing it down to about 3-4 songs lol
I think you did a REALLY good job. As a Nigerian, I became even more proud of our music after listening to this(sure we can do better, but I am REALLY proud right now😁). I feel like because of videos like this and little education like this, over time Africans will be able to integrate with the korean culture and vice versa(hope I got my point across😞) . Good job!! Will be looking forward to part 2!
I like your video BUT it would have been better if chose some of the dope music videos like; Pana - Tekno, Korede Bello - Do Like That, Maleek Berry - Kontro, Dotman - Akube, Patoranking - No Kissing Baby ft. Sarkodie, Yemi Alade - Johnny,Sarkodie - Adonai ft. Castro, PSquare - Collabo, PSquare - Shekini and the list goes on. Am sorry for saying this but most Korean and some Americans are so ignorant about Africa because they still view Africa as a one country that is undeveloped with people living in bushes and staying with wild animals like the lion.#LOL# And the media that should help display the beauty of Africa ONLY shows the Ugly part. With that said........................................... I feel like dope music videos show that Africa is not backward as people may think. Whenever i show my American friends these videos, they are BLOWN-AWAY by how good they are: #the Quality#Choreography# and #Scenery# I FEEL PROUD WHEN I SEE THEIR JAWS DROOPING WHEN THEY ARE WATCHING THE MUSIC VIDEOS.
Mimi. K4 exactly.....there are way cooler Nigerian songs she could have chosen....like daddy yo by wizkid, sound it by wizkid, skelewu by davido, dami duro by davido, duro by tekno
"cool" and "dope" are OPINIONS. everybody has one. she went with HER opinion. and she has the right to do so. you have the right to make your own videos using the music of your choice.
This is what she said about how she chose these songs: "Q2: Why did you pick these particular songs? A: One reason is because these are some personal favoites. Although it's not shown in the video, I told my friends that what I showed them is a tidbit of a bigger pool of African music out there. i dont think there is anything wrong with that depiction. i think he is just being honest and that is probably all he was exposed to before this video. so im glad he has a different view of african music but tribal stuff is nice aswell
joyce bonga I don't know if this comment was directed to me but I don't see how being ignorant can be a good thing, just because it was 'honest' ? No one said there is something wrong with tribes and their traditions/cultures. It's just that his view was ignorant and that's all we said really.
I get your point but I am not implying that ignorance is good, I just think we should be understanding of the mistake made instead of finding offense because they are not familiar with the recent music trends in Africa. Everyone says or does ignorant things here and there, we are not knowledgeable about all things, so allowing them to learn and voice their honest pre-existing knowledge (or lack thereof) is helpful to the advancement of African culture.
joyce bonga I get your point as well, but stating something is ignorant does not mean I'm not understanding or not allowing him to learn. Neither does allowing someone to learn mean accepting stereotypes and generalisations. Of course no one is knowledgeable on everything, and learning about it is great. However when you then continue make stereotypical comments based off of limited knowledge you have, you will be held accountable, since everyone is responsible for the things they say and do. Also my comment was not even about the music lol. It just was just about that tribe comment and how 'African' is always used so broadly, as if it's a country.
I love how the guy with the hat has great ear for music, he was vibing and bouncing to each beat. come to the Caribbean bro, we will love you dancing to our music.
Ayyy 🇬🇭🇬🇭 ghana ooo ....omg I'm a Ghanaian American who loves Korea !!! I want to go there one day !!! Would love a video on your experience and how you've learned the language
Thank you so much for this video! It was nice to hear some songs I didn't know about before from some of my favorite artists, great to peek into the minds of some of your friends, and absolutely AMAZING to hear someone speaking my native language (please let him know how great it was!)!! And it made me so happy to see a fellow Ghanaian studying Korean that I followed you on Instagram and Snapchat pretty much right away.
Good video idea! At the very least, they get exposure to a new (dope) sound and other images of Africans/black people besides what stereotypes they may see in the media. PS- I'm Cameroonian-American so showing some fellow West African-American-in-Korea love
A Cameroonian sistuh!! Finally, I often have the weird feelings we are such a minority outside Cameroon back in Africa. Have a very very good day! God bless!
Nicole I think that this initiative is amazing!! Gaining opinion of others people from another country far from Africa on the african music and culture. I wish all of us can do that!!
I really liked their analysis! They're really smart. And i love ojuelegba for the same reason as your friend with the hat, this song is very chill and i feel some kind of peace myself while listening to it. Wizkid is one of the best! Great video Anna!!
i like this bringing afro-beats in. i think there needs to be an understanding that "american style of music" is actually from Africa a lot of inspiration and ideas they incorporate belongs to Africa great video very unique
I absolutely love the Korean culture. Seeing their reactions to ours is amazing. Do the reactions to food, stories, outfits etc. I would love it even more
Love love love this video!! I think it was awesome that you decided to show them a bit of West Africa pop culture since many people have misconceptions about how we live and such :). I also really enjoyed the questions that you asked and the decision to choose songs with deeper meaning. It provoked very interesting analyses from your friends and I love that (it's the English major in me lol). I'm looking forward to your next video for sure! Good stuff :)
Hi Anna Nicole Bee. You are really doing a great job. Beyond the African music comes the language, culture and a lot attached to it. And these are basically the values and contents you are trying to sell to the Asian society. You have been able to instill a great value of African education into them, and this, in a long time to come will be an integral part of their memory. Meanwhile, the Tiwa Savage song explains that words cannot quantify the amount of blessings she has gotten. More like an appraisal to God that HE has done a whole lot for her that she cannot spell out. Keep up the great job and remain cool.
pidgin is mixture of english, Spanish, Portuguese, german, dutch and native dialects. I'm Cameroonian and our pidgin has some french added. You might not know but even Ghanaian pidgin is not just broken english and native Ghanaian words but other European languages combined to form pidgin depending on the Europeans Ghanaians came in contact with.
Anna Nicole this is quite simply brilliant!! I don't know if this is what you were trying to accomplish but you succeeded in being a true ambassador for Africa. I love it! I also really love how objective the Koreans are too. Good music truly knows no boundaries. Keep this up. #KENYA
The last I checked West Africa is in Africa. She is a Ghanian, this is her video. If you are looking for music from Southern, East or North Africa exit left and find your lane. You, people, continue to come on Videos with nothing else to offer but ramble about how you are not represented. What did you expect to see from a West African?.Why don't you put your own music out there and quit whining when others choose to represent their own music.I am a Nigerian, sorry I do not know any other African artist and I will not apologise for that, actually, I really don't care, therefore you will not find me stalking videos crying about how my music is not "being represented. My Advice you people should all get together and make music that everyone will enjoy.2017 has just taken off and once again Nigerian music is ahead of the game, I can give you at least 6 hit records to date.Don't hate, congratulate.
How did you learn Korean? I’m interested in learning it. I’ve been a kdrama watcher for over a decade and pick up on a few phrases here and there but I want to seriously learn the language. Please do share your tips!
Hey girl! I actually made a video about how I learned Korean and some tips on how to do so! Go check it out if you want :) I should probably make more videos about learning Korean, so if there is anything specific about Korean that you think I should do a video on, throw the suggestions my way! ^^
Ojuelegba is my fave wizkid song💕though for the others I feel like u could have chosen better ones e.g tekno - pana, BM - makolongulu, Yemi alade - johnny, mavins - looku looku
iamempressfiresign Having just one Ghanaian doesn't change the title. she said African music. African is a continent not a country. so the title should be reacting to Nigerian and Ghanaian music. Also has a person from Nigerian. The songs she choose didn't even make it in Nigeria nobody really like it. Yes, she can't pleased everyone but if that wanted to show African music she would have picked the songs based on review and views. If I put Adele song hello here everyone will like it because it has a lot of views and you can look at the how many like button. Dear you applause you for your effort you put in making this video, you have to also understand that everyone is entitled their own opinion too.
Jennifer Anunobi Nigerian and Ghana is a part of Africa so yes, she was correct to use the term African. I don't expect her to showcase the entire continent in one video. And if she had titled it Nigerian and Ghanaian videos people would STILL be on here complaining "but that doesn't represent all of Ghana or Nigeria so she should have used a different title waah waah..." If she had picked videos YOU deem popular, others would STILL be complaining "why did she pick those? those aren't the best songs blah blah blah" . Isn't it true? So just give her and A for effort for even coming up with the idea and executing it. Instead of criticizing, use it as inspiration to make your own video then we can come on your channel and criticize you. :-)
Nice vid Anna...really nice...lol...I was in awe when you talked about the meaning of Tiwa and Dr. Sid's song. lol..thank God you corrected it. Nice video.
I'm African but I'm in to Kpop a lot. So seeing Koreans listen to or songs makes me happy in a way. There's a Language barrier for us who don't know Korean but still vibe to Kpop. African music are 🔥, and they should know it's more to African music than tribal or traditional hymns. Africans are lit 🙌🏽🎶🔥🎉🎉
I am shocked and impressed all at the same time at this. I 'm glad i stumbled upon your video. I give you 20 thumbs up for what you've done. By the way I'm Nigerian and i listen to Korean pop music which is quite strange around here and seeing your friends react to our (African) kind of songs got me to really wonder whether even a few listen to ours as well. Keep up the good work and spread the gospel :))
hey How about Southern Africa?!......"Mafikizolo - Khona" ...... "Ammara Brown - Mukoko"........ "AKA - Run Jozi"....."AKA - all eyes on me".....ammara brown is Zimbabwean, then the other artists are South African
ayyyyeee thanks for putting me on! I'll check all these out. Tweet these at me so I can remember. But so many people are asking for specific songs so I might pick the top two most requested but hopefully I can get to these soon
I finna listen to this right now. Mama please drop some more names.the current US pop is like reheated pepper soup from last week. its bland and stale/
Wow. I can't believe I was talking about learning Korea so I can be in Korea someday. Just today and I bumped into this video. I'm glad to cross paths with you. Well done, Girl! More grace
I posted this comment earlier but maybe you all might not have seen it. But lemme answer some FAQ's
Q1: Why were they just staring at the music videos? Did they not like it?

Anna Nicole Bee dd u school in Korea?
No, in America. I'm in Korea for a year abroad
Anna Nicole Bee nice video good job👍🏽👍🏽. But I'll like to correct you on tiwas song. The song says if she starts talking about all the blessings God has given her she wldnt be able to say it all(e no go end) bcs of the numerous blessings God has given her. The song basically says if i start to talk about all the things God has done for me, there will be no end, in other words,i won't be able to stop talking about God's goodness to me
Anna Nicole Bee . precisely how I feel about sharing the wonderful vibes of Afrobeat music. great vid. thanks for sharing.
I'm Mexican and I really like Nigerian music
HelloDarling! God bless you sister......wizkid is my Favourite.

All those saying its not African because it's from only west Africa please remind me when West Africa stopped being a part of Africa
Nancy xhang right ....its part, not all of africa.... u answered yourself
I’ve never heard an American songs or artist referred to by their state. African unity must start from us.
Africa is three times the size of America and has 54 countries. How is this even a comparison?
nAnci subs , I love your sarcasm 😂😭😭
Hahaha hahahahhaha
lol...the 1st guy is so polite,,,he was nodding before the song started😂
Fadzy Arike exactly
I saw that😂🤣
I was like bro calm tf down 😂😂😂

Wow!! I should thank you for watching this :)
MavinRecords HOLY SHIT MAVIN RECORDS!!! Tell koreedo and tiwa I said hi

MavinRecords the real g
MavinRecords. WOOW HIII
Thank you! I appreciate you understanding me fully!
Ebonny Bunny Haha we're africans, we always have something to complain about lol
These Koreans are really polite and needless to say, cute.

Watching from Nigeria.....this review made me appreciate our afro beat more than ever!!.... Africa to the world🙌👏

-tere tere toofan
-kiff no beat ft stelair génération chiller
-kiname fally ipupa ft booba

Iman Manjotel I like you list cause it incorporates music from other countries instead of just Nigeria and Ghana. Makolongulu is an awesome song too. Proud Congolese girl over here Lol!!!!
Iman Manjotel gbegeri😍😍😍😍
These are Nigerian musics
These are Nigerian musicians, not ghana
Lol yeah, for some reason people hear America in any type of music
Stonebwoy is a Ghanaian please 😞😞
Shut up

I realy like it you made us to have something special congratulation for supporting our African music.I am Tanzanian.
I'm Ghanaian and I loved this video so much. Stonebwoy actually sounds just like that so it's not really auto tuned. Plus, Ghana and Nigeria both speak English even though we both have our own different dialects within the different tribes in each of our countries.
Hey gurl! You should make them react to AZONTO ((((:
Rae LOL that would be lit in karaoke! 💃

Yeah I'm from Nigeria....Nigerian songs is a goal..the Korean guy is funny he started dancing even before the song starts
I'm only good with the meaning of the songs if it's in Twi. lol
But thanks for the reccomendations

yoruba and Nigerian pidgin
I'm glad that you enjoyed this!! Thanks for the suggestions!
Bees Knobbly Knees yass mukoko lol since I'm zim I really want them to listen to it.
im from Zimbabwe and mukoko by Ammara brown is very good
I think the exposure of African music to your Korean friends was amazing.
2nd that. That part about Jay Park I was like it's the other way around.
Cool video; the translations were good for the most part;
Ojuelegba is basically talking about Wizkid's background like you said, and more specifically about how the people in Ojuelegba (a poor area where he's from) know how hard life was for him and so how thankful he is.
Anything from P-Square too.
Anna Nicole Bee do phyno, his song Alobam.
preach!!!Even Sitya loss by eddy kenzo .those songs are popular and lit

Am sorry for saying this but most Korean and some Americans are so ignorant about Africa because they still view Africa as a one country that is undeveloped with people living in bushes and staying with wild animals like the lion.#LOL#
And the media that should help display the beauty of Africa ONLY shows the Ugly part.
Mimi. K4 u cou
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EXACTLY WHAT I WAS ABOUT TO TYPE!! All those song you mentioned are littttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!
This is what she said about how she chose these songs:
"Q2: Why did you pick these particular songs?
So abeg if your favorite song isn't shown, vote next time.
ahhh and to ease some hearts out there I will change the title from African -----> West African."
Honestly I've been waiting for this video for god knows how long. Thank you 😭
music by tribes who live in the jungle? Goodness the ignorance is appalling!
Naamy1989 lol my eyes rolled aaaaalll the way up 🙄😂
i dont think there is anything wrong with that depiction. i think he is just being honest and that is probably all he was exposed to before this video. so im glad he has a different view of african music but tribal stuff is nice aswell
joyce bonga I don't know if this comment was directed to me but I don't see how being ignorant can be a good thing, just because it was 'honest' ?
Stonebwoy uses no autotune. That's his voice. All the same, nice video...good to see africans in the diaspora propagating african music

I love this, hearing their different perspectives is a learning curve. kudos Anna :)
Cool but you didn't choose cool Nigeria music videos. There is a lot out there
Howtoluv Collins yes, I feel the same the songs are horrible.. And she only Focus on just Nigeria songs.
The songs were good ... she will never be able to please everybody... and there was one Ghanaian so maybe you weren't really paying attention
iamempressfiresign Having just one Ghanaian doesn't change the title. she said African music.
Howtoluv Collins what you on about, I'm from South Africa and I know all these songs...and they were huge. Wiz kid is won awards for the song
Nice vid Anna...really nice...lol...I was in awe when you talked about the meaning of Tiwa and Dr. Sid's song. lol..thank God you corrected it. Nice video.
