New zealand has only about 4 million people which is less than the Washington DC and Baltimore metro areas combined That limits them they don't have the economies of scale that we have

When I first moved to America many decades ago, I would have this giddy feeling almost on a regular basis, which went away with time with life happening. Seeing this video brought some of that back as to how special this country is. Thank you!! ☺
I loved your accents! I am an American by choice, I became an American citizen a few years ago and it was the proudest I've ever been so as a newer American welcome to this land blessed by God.
As a big city guy myself this makes me so happy. Sometimes big cities get a bad reputation but a lot of good, exciting things go on with such large communities. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
You will definitely see how much more the small towns are not as hectic as they are in the big cities. Going in an RV will be so relaxing and just enjoying the woods and nature at a much slower pace and the small town people are just so kind and helpful and great food.
Glad you enjoy our country so much, and realize you could make 100 trips and not see everything but thats whats so exciting...every trip will be a totally different experience......cant wait till your next trip.....
I was born and raised in Wellington, NZ. I moved to US in 1980 just outside of NYC. I can't imagine living anywhere else. People always ask why I would leave NZ and stay in the US. America and its people are fantastic. It's that simple.
One trick I learned for riding the subway in places like NY is to not get on the cars at the front of the "train" or Metro. Everyone is in a rush to get on, get off, and rush for the stairs to leave and no one wants to be slowed down by others, so they all get on the cars at the front so they can be closer to the stairs to leave. Then everyone gets crowded together in the cars, and then jammed up trying to rush out when leaving and it causes a slowdown anyway. The cars at the end will have fewer people on them since they are further away from the exits and you get more room on the car, a slightly longer but more relaxing walk to the exits, and by the time you reach the stairs/exits the crowd has thinned out and moved on so you aren't "elbow to elbow" and pressed up against people trying to leave. But you sometimes don't want the very last car in the line because homeless people know those are the least used cars and sleep on them because they are almost unoccupied, so get the 2nd or 3rd from the end of the line of cars.
I'm glad that you had the opportunity to share this experience with your children! I love hearing how impressed you were with everything. It's sad that so many Americans take the"simple" things that we enjoy in life for granted and don't realize how truly blessed we are to live in such a free society, some, even to the point of despising our freedoms. May your next visit bring you more joy, excitement, and blessings 🙌🏽
I truly wish more people saw the beauty of this land. It always give me a quiet joy to see people who love my country. God Bless America, land that I love. My Home Sweet Home.
So many foreigners I've met are amazed that we even actually have public transportation because of the reputation we have of driving everywhere. And as far as sports, there is an amazing variety. Baseball, basketball, American football are just the tip of the iceberg. Soccer (or football) is really taking off in popularity here, finally. My oldest granddaughter graduates H.S. this year and has a mixed tennis/soccer/academic scholarship at her dream college. Her boyfriend has a lacrosse/academic scholarship at the same university. We have rugby, softball, swimming, gymnastics, track/field events. You can find pretty much any sport to compete in starting in school in most areas. For a nation that's supposed to be so overweight, we certainly do love our sports.
Been watching since kiwi kicker had about 5k subs. I always knew you'd make it man. You have a wonderful family. Plz cherish every moment and remember you're literally living some people's dreams
I think as Americans, we get stuck in the everyday drum of life and focus on the things that go wrong day to day. We don't see how much worse it is elsewhere. Thank you for giving us a more positive perspective. I'm glad you loved it. I hope you make it to Indiana! Can't wait for more!❤
how very positive and uplifting. thanks. you will love small town America. I have a RV triip planned in Missouri, Arkansas in early May. Hitting a bit of Route 66.
Thank you for sharing your experience, those are certainly some good things about America. Please come back again to all new places and try all new things.
You've convinced me. I'm going to have to visit the USA myself. Wait a minute, I live here right in the Great Midwest. My family and I have been to almost every state East of the Mississippi River. Our places to visit are off of the beaten path. Places like Eureka Springs Arkansas, Branson Missouri, Springfield Illinois , Pigeon Forge Tennessee etc.
Thank you for reminding us how truly blessed we are to live in America. We get so used to it, and since many of us do not do much traveling we really don't have anything to compare it with, we simply think this is the norm. Worldwide we know that there are many different cultures but really don't know what to expect so when people come over here from other countries it is good to get their input. I'm glad you had a good time. I hope you have a great trip with your RV experience. If your itinerary is still open to adjustments I would definitely make sure you get in some national parks. Especially in the southwestern United States and in the Appalachian Mountains area. Of course, those are 2500 miles apart so I doubt you'll be able to get both sides of the country at once but either side you go to, definitely check out either of those areas. Southern Utah, Arizona, California, all have small town experience and have some of the best national parks to be found anywhere. For sheer beauty and scenic wonder I would also recommend the Oregon coast. Great place to travel and no large cities there at all.
You all should come to DC and not only tour the museums and monuments but come to see the lively neighborhoods in DC. It's a beautiful city that I think you all would enjoy.
I lived in DC for a decade and loved it. Don't sell the museums short, the ones under the unbrella of the Smithsonian are free and varied. Air and Space; underground museum of African Art; Museum of American History; and of course, the National Zoo were some of my favorites.
That's not true. Depends on which side of the Potomac. Georgetown is beautiful, as is Dupont Circle where most of the embassies are located. Also, quite a few Civil War sites, Manassas (Bull Run) being the closest. Every big city has rough areas of town.
I love how NZF is making their own Top Video from their own experience. So proud of you guys and hope you continue to enjoy so much more the US has to offer to you!
Yall are such amazing parents. And I'm 44 and I totally get Denzel's fear of heights. I'm decades older and share the same fear, I hope he doesn't feel embarrassed in any wayLove your content, it's so wholesome and very appreciated!
What a thoughtful and sweet video. Y'all make sure to come back when possible. I'm sure there is so much more to see. I'm so happy y'all had a good time. Love your videos.
I love that y'all are experiencing so many new adventures as a family. It's just the beginning of many many more memories to come! You've built a base audience, and I think we're interested in your family, no matter what the next thing is. So, keep sharing your pov and growing in your experience, bc I'm also learning things by watching you. Even if you have a not so good experience or don't like or understand something, its ok to voice it. I appreciated your conversations about tipping! 😅 you're a well rounded family w pretty open minds from what I can tell, and it's a joy to watch y'all have deep talks, try something new, or just shoot the breeeze. ❤
I'm so glad that you addressed the most common concerns visitors to big USA cities might have. Thanks again for all the time and effort you put into your videos. By the way, the amusement park mall reaction was priceless!😅
It’s interesting you added public transportation to this list. As an American, it can get pretty complicated in some city’s between trains and busses. There isn’t really any form of transportation that will take you from city to city across the country without having to switch between cars, busses, or trains. It’s almost necessary to have private vehicles in the USA when traveling.
For the next tone you guys come down it should be a southern USA trip: Charleston Savannah, Tampa (Ybor city in particular best Cuban sandwiches), New Orleans. A good view of the medium sized classic us cities. They’re a complete contrast from the large cities you’d love it!
I love your vacation videos from USA. It makes me happy you had a great time and every one treated you great. I love our major cities here. I don’t choose to live in a huge city. One of my favorite places is New York City. I have personally been to all 4 cities you visited. I like them all. USA is so huge I am 42 years old and have traveled extensively here. There are still so many places I want to go. The national parks here are amazing too. I am in western North Carolina and I live close to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and The Blue Ridge Parkway. The two must visited national parks in USA. They are amazing.
I am so glad you all visited this great country. There are so many other great sights to see. I hope you all come back, you are always loved so much ❤❤❤
Fort Worth here and I love that ya'll came to see the longhorn heard. Hope everyone treated you well! Our Texas Rangers just started the season this past Thursday, Go Rangers!!! As far as public transport in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area it is basically nonexistent. We are so spread out you almost cannot live without a vehicle. Thanks for all the great videos!
Melting pot was always talked about with fellow Americans. I think that we are more of a SALAD BOWL because everyone seems to keep their heritage culture going but it gets all mixed together. We have Chinatowns, Little Italy, Hispanic neighborhoods, Arab and African neighborhoods. And of course the southern cultures. Yes, our options are limitless. Now include our National Parks all across the country.
@@blackblake3658 here’s the thing, I’m all for keeping heritage culture but everyone that came to america needs to put America first. Why bother coming here and ignoring our laws and speaking English?
Si todo lo que sabes es inglés, entonces ese es tu problema. No hables mierda de las personas que son bilingües. You better adapt to all the new cultures and learn some of the languages that now make up the USA instead of complaining. If you dont, you'll get left behind. The ones who are smart enough to put their personal feelings aside and become bilingual will be the ones who will thrive in this new world. La decision es tuya. @lisal6121
Love seeing people proud of the country I'm from, I think we have it too easy here. The big towns are fantastic but it's the small towns that will fill your heart.
A great small town area to see is Asheville, North Carolina - Greenville, South Carolina and Gatlinburg, Tennessee. These 3 cities are very close to each other and there is so much to see! Dolly Parton's Dollywood is there, and the fabulous Vanderbilt mansion outside Asheville, and loads of fun family-oriented vacation spots in the beautiful mountains.
I'm glad that your visits to the states was everything you expected . Glad to hear my countryman were very pleasing to you. Hope you had some couch salad and fritters , while in the keys ( conch town ) or Miami . Thank you for giving a true and actual veiw of USA . Unlike the other channels who probably never been here by there video content.❤❤❤ I think you have a beautiful family. Your kids will be well inform and productive adults.❤
Sooo glad you enjoyed your time in “Big City” USA! I’m from Philadelphia and though we have our problems there is a lot of culture and history to experience and great people. Unfortunately, even Americans operate on stereotypes & lots of people who discouraged you from the city have never been. Can’t wait to see your upcoming trip to “Small Town” America and hope you have as much fun and get to see all the faces of USA! 🩷☺️
@@blackblake3658 True… I always get a lil anxious thinking of the places I would like to visit in remote or small towns. In the city there’s always some foot/ car traffic to get help if needed.
I'm from L.A., but I LOVE Philadelphia! Every big city has problems. I've always felt at home in Philly and call it my home away from home. The history, museums, food, shopping (no tax on clothing), and public transport is easy within the city.
I'm from Philly too. Olde City has Independence Hall, The Constitution Center and The Museum of the American Revolution. All must sees. Also THE FOOD! Both fine dining and small street stands offer the best food in the country. Philly is close to PA Dutch country and the NJ shore. Both have a unique feel that's different than the neighboring areas of New York and Washington.
Seeing this great country through your eyes and experiences is so refreshing. My husband and I have travelled to many states and I have to say…. This is a beautiful country. You guys are right on with your comments and views. Love you guys. 🩵
Small towns have their charm, too. I grew up a few miles away from where a few of the outdoor scenes of the Shining were filmed, and Chuck Norris filmed a movie here, called the Forest Warrior.
It is nice to hear some positive thoughts about my country. I am enjoying your channel & videos. May God bless you two and your children. You are a teriffic example of a beautiful family with the right morals & values!❤🙏❤🙏❤
I love watching your reactions and remembering how lucky I am to live here in the USA. So many things I take for granted and to see your excitement and appreciation is refreshing. Can’t wait to see more videos and hear about your next trip coming to small town America!
Loved your thoughts! I live in a big city in the US and love it. I always get a lot of hate from people saying things like: “It’s so expensive, why would you want to live there!” “It’s dirty!” “Way too crowded” I of course know that it’s not for everyone. I can so appreciate someone wanting to live in a small town or a more quiet life. I might even want that one day. But for now, I truly love city life. Again. So nice to see yall spreading positivity and not focusing on the negatives! Cheers!
Sam and Nadine; As an ex-bus driver (both for city bus companies and later on, even tour bus.) I used to try to myself in the position of my passenger(s) and get an "understanding" on how difficult it would be if I knew NOTHING about my surroundings. This...I tried even desperately to instill with my fellow compatriots/co-workers especially when one of the cities I drove for was Tempe, Az. Home to Arizona State University where EACH fall/spring there could be anywhere from 5,000-20,000 new faces going to college. Can you imagine trying to find out which way was fastest/cheapest/easiest to get to like Castles and Coasters? (An amusement park in north-central Phoenix.); or possibly which mall was better than the others?; How about which fine-foods dining places were best? Well...with me driving a bus, I would let you know!! (A play on words here now but when you stop and think about it, it quite LITERALLY means just this.) In other words...I used to get paid good money to transport people AND tell them where to go, and where to get off!!!😂
I super appreciate your positive attitude and feedback on big city America 🇺🇸 from a first hand experience. Not from what the propaganda machine media says! Thanks guys!
Many many small and midsized towns and cities have a rich and colorful history- throw that into our mixing bowl of culture and you get some delicious memories.
So glad y'all enjoyed your visit and are planning a return visit. I don't think you will be disappointed with the reception you get in small town America and I know you will find the friendly hospitality to your liking. Thank you for the warm review and the reactions you post. Best wishes to y'all all!!!
First of all, your podcast skills (or whatever one would call it) are becoming top notch. You're all so engaging and thoughtful, and just a pleasant listen. As for your list, of course all these points are spot on except #3, as all US big cities are not created equal when it comes to public transport. But absolutely, the NYC subway is a godsend (and surprisingly cheap last time I was there). LA definitely has some work to do to get to that level. Miami's is okay, but again nowhere near as strong as NYC or Chicago or Washington DC. And regarding #5, being a tourist on a shortish trip, you probably would not even have noticed how huge the sports atmosphere really is. The amateur league/beer league/rec league/regular pickup games keep so many people active and involved in team and individual sports. You can pass one big park and see baseball/softball, basketball, soccer, tennis, even cricket being played on a normal day in a big US city. Go to almost any normal family reunion or big holiday blowout, and some sort of game inevitably breaks out, if it's not actually a regular family tradition. Americans do not just love to watch sports, so many have to play also. There's never shortage of sports going on even when the pros are not playing.
Great video NZFam! I'm so glad that your experiences here were so positive! When you get right down to it, most people here in the US are the same as everywhere else I've been around the world - if you're genuine, they are genuine. Can't wait to hear about your RV adventure! Thanks!
Great videos..Sometimes living in the US we take so many things for granted but to see all your excitement in each city was amazing. Look forward to you next series in the US
I am so glad you guys have enjoyed our country. I would like to let you know that even in rural areas it's the same way. As an American we sometimes take it for granted. Come on back anytime.
If you're gonna do small town America, Savannah,GA is a must. And make sure to check out the little islands like St. Simons and Tybee island. I've been there a few times being from GA. Don't skip over Pigeon Forge TN either and hit up Dollywood.
Much love to my New Zealand Family from the Detroit metro area! If y'all ever stop by Michigan and Sam (and/or Nadine) want to see a metal show, let me know! I've got buddies that can get you into two different clubs, and everyone is super welcoming and friendly! (I say, as though I hadn't soaked two shirts through in fake blood this past Wednesday night in a GWAR mosh pit) It really is a good time, though. I have a feeling the scene is where I'll meet my future wife.
I was impressed with the robots delivering food in Los Angeles. Your tour bus guide had named all of them of which I thought was funny. I've never seen or heard about that kind of robot delivery service. I wish you could briefly talk about it. Thanks for sharing your videos.
If you want some of the best sports experience in a “big city”, I highly encourage you to come visit St. Louis, Missouri during Cardinals Baseball Season. We have some of the most dedicated fans of all of baseball to where on a week day game during work hours, the stadium will still be 15k-20k fans. Opening day is its own holiday here where some businesses will shut down so their employees can enjoy Cardinals baseball. Plus you add the mix of several cultures from being an old river port city and St. Louis is one of the most interesting city’s to visit.
We have a lot of problems in the US, but we also tend to take a lot of good stuff for granted. It’s great to hear about all of the positives through the perspective of visitors.
Love the professional background and set up of your studio 🎙! Love your information and imput about your experiences in different cities, I hope that you enjoyed your time there and want to come over again. I hope it was positive experience for you.

Awesome family. Great job filming your USA adventure. Can't wait for your next visit. There's so much more to see.
Thanks for coming to Los Angeles! So happy you enjoyed your visit!
I agree, Washington DC is a must-visit for everyone, Us citizens and foreign visitors alike! An amazing city.
I would say in DC you should just stick to the historical areas otherwise half the city is the hood😂😂😂
What? No way, take a quick trip thru DC maybe, but then get out asap
That's not true. Depends on which side of the Potomac. Georgetown is beautiful, as is Dupont Circle where most of the embassies are located. Also, quite a few Civil War sites, Manassas (Bull Run) being the closest. Every big city has rough areas of town.
Thank you 🙏 I’m glad NZ ❤family enjoyed the USA 🇺🇸 visit and grateful complement ☝️👏👏👏👍🎥👋
You guys are so gracious and kind. Thank you.
Hello from New Jersey! I love all the compliments that you give the US and love watching these videos from your perspective. It makes me so happy! 😊
I love how NZF is making their own Top Video from their own experience. So proud of you guys and hope you continue to enjoy so much more the US has to offer to you!
Just cannot wait until your Fam does a trip/tour of small town ordinary America ❣️🙏❣️
That will be the more interesting one.
Ordinary is boring, small towns are meaningless dumps.
booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring
So happy your family had so many good experiences in my beloved Country. So happy you all were treated well! Come back soon!
Loved your reaction, so happy you had such an enjoyable time here.❤
I could not be more thrilled that y'all had such a good time in our country!!! It must have been especially wonderful for the kids!!!
I'm Soo glad (& relieved) you were well treated and had a good time! Your family would make great spokespeople for our travel dept. 👍❤
They weren't at Wal-Mart unsurprisingly!
I'm pleased that your family enjoyed my country. Especially your experience at Terry Black's. 👍
Lovely family. Wonderful to hear that you enjoyed "Big City USA". May you experience many more traveling adventures.
This family is what America is all about, I think I would feel the same visiting your general area.
America is about people with Bastardized English Accents like the Aussies? 🤔
Let's not pretend there is not a movement afoot to demonize people celebrating their heritage.
@@blackblake3658let’s not gunk these peoples page up with unnecessary political arguments
@@blackblake3658 here’s the thing, I’m all for keeping heritage culture but everyone that came to america needs to put America first. Why bother coming here and ignoring our laws and speaking English?
A very apt way to describe it here.
I’m so glad you enjoyed our country! You’re welcome back anytime!! -love Arizona & Kentucky ❤😊
Love, Love, Love Gatlinburg and the smokies. What a beautiful area.
Great advice, a very special area.
Nobody’s paying that much $$ for that
I'm glad that your visits to the states was everything you expected . Glad to hear my countryman were very pleasing to you. Hope you
had some couch salad and fritters , while in the keys ( conch town ) or Miami .
Thank you for giving a true and actual veiw of USA . Unlike the other channels who probably never been here by there video content.❤❤❤
I think you have a beautiful family.
I feel safer in cities than I do in rural America.
@@Niteowlette 😊Glad you loved it! Never been to LA, but definitely plan to visit.
I hope you enjoyed your time in our Country. We Love You Our New Zealand family ❤❤❤❤. FYI I am from the South. 😉👍❤️❤️❤️
Happy you liked your visit to America, We love seeing people from other country's!
American people welcome you!!! Your new careers are beautifully done ,proud to be from the USA ❤ USA 🇺🇸 love your family 🎉
Loved your thoughts! I live in a big city in the US and love it. I always get a lot of hate from people saying things like:
“It’s so expensive, why would you want to live there!”
“It’s dirty!”
“Way too crowded”
I of course know that it’s not for everyone. I can so appreciate someone wanting to live in a small town or a more quiet life. I might even want that one day.
But for now, I truly love city life. Again. So nice to see yall spreading positivity and not focusing on the negatives! Cheers!
Sam and Nadine;
As an ex-bus driver (both for city bus companies and later on, even tour bus.) I used to try to myself in the position of my passenger(s) and get an "understanding" on how difficult it would be if I knew NOTHING about my surroundings.
(A play on words here now but when you stop and think about it, it quite LITERALLY means just this.)
In other words...I used to get paid good money to transport people AND tell them where to go, and where to get off!!!😂
Thanks for coming! 🎉
Small town America tour sounds awesome. Can't wait for you guys to return
I always thank the workers at the places I visited. they are hardworking and deserve positive feedbacks.
Nice video - thanks for posting it. I'm looking forward to your Small City USA trip. I hope your planning is going well.
I can't wait to see your RV trip
I super appreciate your positive attitude and feedback on big city America 🇺🇸 from a first hand experience. Not from what the propaganda machine media says! Thanks guys!
U guys r so gracious. I knew a U.S..native who luvs ChristChurch & S. Island more than any place else on the planet.
Service is tops in the US for sure.
I’m so glad you loved big city America! Can’t wait to see what comes with the small town America RV trip! 🇺🇸🇳🇿🚐
It make me feel GOOD that you enjoyed your visit to the USA. I hope you visit again.
So happy to hear you had lovely experiences and want to return. Safe travels and God bless - from Houston, Texas!! 🥰
If you're gonna do small town America, Savannah,GA is a must. And make sure to check out the little islands like St. Simons and Tybee island. I've been there a few times being from GA. Don't skip over Pigeon Forge TN either and hit up Dollywood.
Ya'll should go see the nature of Murica, go Hawaii, snows in Alaska, Grand Canyon, national parks etc.
Much love to my New Zealand Family from the Detroit metro area! If y'all ever stop by Michigan and Sam (and/or Nadine) want to see a metal show, let me know! I've got buddies that can get you into two different clubs, and everyone is super welcoming and friendly!
(I say, as though I hadn't soaked two shirts through in fake blood this past Wednesday night in a GWAR mosh pit)
It really is a good time, though. I have a feeling the scene is where I'll meet my future wife.
Love your videos, and your family is such a joy to watch simply enjoying each other's company.
I was impressed with the robots delivering food in Los Angeles. Your tour bus guide had named all of them of which I thought was funny. I've never seen or heard about that kind of robot delivery service. I wish you could briefly talk about it. Thanks for sharing your videos.
No he didn't! He didn't name them, DUH! The people that built them did! Duh!
Here's your sign!
Y'all see things in America we natives don't. Seeing life through others eyes in such a fun style, great job you two!
Man! I can't wait for the small town America video.
Really happy to hear that you had a good experience.
Baseball sucks!
We have a lot of problems in the US, but we also tend to take a lot of good stuff for granted. It’s great to hear about all of the positives through the perspective of visitors.
As an United States citizen, everything you say is true, but I never really thought about it. I guess we take it for granted 🤔
Love the professional background and set up of your studio 🎙! Love your information and imput about your experiences in different cities, I hope that you enjoyed your time there and want to come over again. I hope it was positive experience for you.
There are lots of positive things about big cities, it's not all bad like some would have you believe.
People are there. If you love people, the city is where you want to be.
Man you know you guys have done pretty well with your RUclips channel when other channels are reacting to your videos on their channels😂. Cheers from New York love the channel
