I mean, let's be honest: Canadians are the next closest thing to Americans. There are some differences, but it's mostly little stuff (like preferred temperature scale and overuse of the word "sorry"). There are more differences between the governments of our two countries, than between the peoples. So of course we get along tolerably well most of the time. (We're even allowed to poke fun at one another, and nobody gets too upset, usually.) In some ways Canadians are more similar to Americans than they are to Brits, and the only people who don't get along with the Brits are communists, terrorists, Argentine nationalists, and food critics.
Love from Texas❤ what does the rest of the world expect us to be like? Super rich? Super heroes? Rednecks with guns? I am the 3rd😂 but not my point 😂😂😂
The main reason to keep the air conditioner on is it is harder to cool your house down and uses more electric power than it is to keep a home cooled down while not being home.
Correct!!! In the summer, I turn the AC up (warmer) slightly if I'm going to be out of the house for an extended period of time... but not so much that it makes the AC work so hard to cool the house when I get home. It's bad for your cooling unit to work that hard. $$$
We get a lot of criticism, because the media is good at bringing the worst of us to the forefront. Well behaved, healthy, good hearted Americans are too boring for the media, unfortunately.
just to expand on what your saying, the thing that a lot of people sadly don't realize is that media and news will report on the noteworthy stuff, and as humans we are usually drawn towards the negative stuff, meaning that what is seen is filtered. the regular stuff that happens isn't noteworthy, doesn't make news. some people don't realize this. so what's next to be filtered is the positives and the negatives, but because we are drawn to the negatives, the positives get pushed down to the bottom, unseen. now all of the news people see is just the negative news, and it sours their opinions. its disappointing.
Intellectualism in what it stands for is trash. And any fool knows it's more efficient to run your ac at a reasonable constant temperature than to keep shutting it off and on
These smartasses from Europe think we are just a bunch of fat and lazy slobs. First, you have to put it into context. The reason more people are obese is because we have to drive more places since it is a bigger country, less dense. Second, Americans work longer days than Europeans and have more kids on average, this means they don’t have time to make a nice quality healthy meal when their kids have activities all night. When you put it into context it doesn’t seem so bad.
So we are Canadian and travel a lot. We've seen some of those stereotypes during our travels and we've met some really wonderful Americans. Hey some Canadians aren't as wonderful as the world thinks we are either. People being people it takes all kinds. For the most part, the Americans that we've met have been wonderful people.
In the '90s, my sister and I backpacked around Europe one summer. We came across a very boisterous couple of American women, in Mainz. They were very friendly, but extremely loud and frankly obnoxious. The problem is that they got the attention of everyone within a quarter mile, while the only way anyone would oukd notice the my sister and I were American is that we were overweight! 😅 It's the worst behavior that gets noticed first, and more readily sticks in our memory.
I'm American. I live in Nevada. I love God and I love my country. I don't think too highly of myself, I'm just trying do a sometimes thankless job and make a living. Its harder to to these days. I am humble, thankful to live in a country that is for now free.

You're part of the problem. Your imaginary god doesn't exist, and your country does a lot of ev1l around the world. I know, I was born and lived in the Dirty South all my life. I've seen plenty of ev1l religion and ev1l statism. You need to be drawing a line in the dirt against that old time religion, and fight the state, never obsequiously fawn to it.
He [more likely the video's producer(s)] put Las Vegas in UTAH, the state that likely has the lowest percentage of gamblers. Tell us again how ignorant we are? They were correct about friendliness, though. Americans, by and large, have to be at, or very near the top, of a list of the friendliest countries.🙂
As a Canadian I can't imagine a better neighbor!!, nobody has our backs like our American cousins!! and yeah we our more like family than neighbor's, and we respect each other and will always stand up for each other, but I guess that's what family does!!!!! There's nothing like knowing your big brother is always there for you!!!
I feel the same way about our Canadian neighbors, there isn't another country I would rather share a border with! From saving our people in Iran to Gander taking in all of our planes on 9/11, Canada has always been there, and we are so very appreciative! We love you guys! 🇨🇦 🇺🇸
Today I went to the grocery store. I got into a conversation about sports with the deli worker while they were preparing my order. Later in aisle 5, I helped a shorter woman with an item that was too high for her to reach. In the checkout aisle I talk to the clerk and we both remarked about how great it was that the weather was staying relatively cool in Miami for this time of year. I drove home I didn't get in an accident, and I wasn't robbed or shot. What shocks me is that this did not make the national news, nothing, zip. I just don't understand why, and not so much as a peep about it on Twitter. I guess people just wouldn't find this interesting.
I’m a dual citizen of the US and Canada and there are things about both countries that I like and dislike. You are spot on about Americans wearing their heart on their sleeves.
And you'll find the same +/- in every country. People just like to pick on the US because they're the big dog. And media around the world doesn't paint a pretty picture with what they report.
Hi. I live in Texas. I turn down the air conditioning when I leave the house. But I leave it on because it takes more energy to cool it back down when I get home. With summer heat over 100F (38C) it gets very hot inside the house. With various illnesses, it’s critical to have air conditioning in order to breathe.
It's interesting that leaving the air conditioning on isn't taught in other countries. What "ignorance" not to know about that. They must live in a bubble and fail once they get outside of their tiny houses.
@@thorstrebla980well like in Britain for example it doesn't get nearly as hot as it does here in California. For them 100 F is a deadly heat wave. But as global warming continues, they are going to need AC more and more. 🙂
@@BLEACH500 If its ventilated then that literally means there is a easy way for air of unwanted temperature to get into the house... So you would still need to do something to counteract the temperature change.
Proud US citizen here. 😉 "we stand on the shoulder's of the greats" is a motto I grew up with. Humbly admitting there are greats before us (no matter where they're from) and striving to take what they've accomplished and be all the better. Confidence can come across as arrogance. However, ignorance is part of the learning process. One has to admit you don't know everything (no one does). Yes I'm loud. I'm a professional rock musician/singer. 😆 The US is very generous. I say that humbly. There are stats out there that prove as a nation, we give a lot. As individuals, we are also generous. If you have a need, may it be fulfilled, if not by your hard work, then by the generosity of your neighbors. Love your channel!

America is the greatest country in the world... For me to live in! Greatest geographical variety, sports I love, variety of cultures etc, but also... New Zealand is the greatest country in the world! For so many New Zealanders to live in! For sailing, rugby, and the beauty of the land, so gorgeous it made the Lord of the Rings movies absolutely breathtaking! There are honestly too many greatest countries in the world to count! Japan, greatest unique entertainment. Australia, greatest animal varieties. So many great things about countries full of good, well meaning people, I think people should be happy to enjoy their country and its greatness without letting other people's jealousy damper it! Enjoy the world people! My rather optimistic viewpoint.
Good morning from the southmost tip of Texas, USA! I have live in 7 states, and the residents of each state have been very proud of their state. The same goes for the entire country. But I have found that citizens of other countries are equally as proud of their countries, regardless of size. As to our ignorance about other countries, I do have to admit, we are rather insular. But, folks from other countries have to remember, the USA basically has the scenery, and climate of the rest of the world combined, just inside our borders. The diversity of the USA makes for having little reason to travel to other countries, when we can never see all of our own country in one lifetime. Making generalizations about the character of all Americans, lumping them all together, is just downright foolishness. There may be some characteristics that exemplify Americans, like their friendliness, just as there are for every country. But, isn’t it a form of arrogance on others’ parts, to by so negative about a country that has supported the rest of the world in every major conflict since the early 20th Century? I am stepping off my soapbox now, folks. Thanks for letting me have my say. And just for fun, those of you who don’t know the reference to my soapbox, may want to do some research about the phrase.

i heard a European talking to people bashing the USA and he challenged them to give up all things that the US has created or derived from these creations. He stated that everything from the telephone, electricity, computers, technology, medicine, water purification, food production, entertainment, manufacturing, life span, military technology and on and on. Guess what, non of them took the offer.
My daughter and I just happened to come across one of your videos. We're absolutely enjoying them. We've subscribed and are watching and giving thumbs up to all we've watched. We're Americans in the great state of North Carolina.

In Europe countries are the size of states and have the populations of some of our cities, they all speak different languages because they have to. If the English want to ski they leave the island for another nation in the alps so they’re required to expand their own knowledge. I can hop in a car and drive from Wisconsin to Colorado and experience 5 countries worth of topographical diversity and I’d speak English the entire way. Yes we are very much in a bubble but who cares
I leave the AC on when I go out because 1) I have cats, 2) It can get up to 120F (48C) in the summer and that kind of heat could damage my belongings, and 3) It would take hours to bring the temperature down to a safe one if I let it get that hot inside. When the heat outside is below 100F (37C) I use evaporative coolers instead of AC to save on electricity. When I do run the AC I keep it set at 78F (25C) to save on electricity.
I agree. We live in a much cooler part of the U.S. than you do, so it is less dire to turn off the AC. We will turn it off if the temps drop to a manageable level and when we have it on, we keep it at 78 degrees. So we only turn on the air if it goes above 80 or so outside.
Have a friend that lives near Vancouver Canada, and they would constantly talk about how obese most Americans are, so when I came out to visit them I'm sure it shocked them that I was fairly lean and didn't live on fast food/soda/Doritos like they thought. They also commented on how talkative I was around strangers and they felt weird that I was so friendly to everyone.

Just an average American here. I've been to London, Edinburgh and throughout Greece. Heard the stereo types about the people in each place I visited and found the regular person in each place to be friendly and welcoming. I never felt looked down upon or judged. Most people were quite interested in you and where you were from. Just be respectful and you'll usually be welcomed just about anywhere. The statement about Americans being historically ignorant is very true in many ways unfortunately. We can do better. P.S. really enjoy your awesome family and videos. Very cool people.
The fact is most people are decent, normal and fine. There are the morons, criminals and such but that isn't the majority of the population. Even here in America where currently all everyone talks about is illegals, immigrants, etc we still don't hate them or such, i still hang out mostly in a latino community, great latino stores and food trucks, latino workers, and everyone is fine with each other. Only that 5% that causes problems is like that, same with any country.
They are generalizing Americans a lot. In winter, if I leave my home, I put the thermostat somewhere around 60°F so I'm not letting thinhs freeze, but not wasting has and electricity. In summer, I usually leave it around 78° while I'm home and use ceiling fans to distribute the cool air. It's perfectly comfortable. If I leave, I may move the thermostat to 80° or if I'm away more than 24hrs, or it's especially hot (days over 100°F) I may leave it around 82°F so it's tolerable with fans, but not constantly on trying to cool the place to the 70's.
True about generalization. You find different kinds of people from different parts of the same state let alone that people in Washington are far different than people from, say, Georgia.

I leave my AC on 72 (day) & 75 (night) in the summer and my heat on 68 (day) & 65 (night) in the winter and my energy bills are minimal. AC doesn't seem so common in some European countries, but they have to understand that there's a way to use it and save energy at the same time.
Here's a good example of American "arrogance" gone awry. Several years ago, I traveled to Europe to attend concerts for a band I had long been a fan of. I had many other fan/friends that were also attending the shows that I was going to and I had ridden to the show with several of them. On the first night, I was told by my friends that we had been invited to the after party at the hotel by the band. We arrived and it was VERY evident that we had not been invited or were welcome. I was stuck. We finally got out of there (whew) but stayed far longer than I would have liked, feeling the way I did. At the second show I attended with the same group of people? The tour manager came up to ME after the show and informed me that we were not welcome back at the hotel party. It was apparent that the pre-conceived notion that it was the "pushy American" who was the instigator in of all of it! I didn't even drive or know where the hotels were! Still, I was blamed. So much for American arrogance, eh?
One of the reasons I started watching this channel is because you are charitable toward Americans. I stayed because I genuinely love your sweet family. There are plenty of other channels who are quick to point out America's faults. I know because I've seen plenty of them. It doesn't feel great to constantly hear this. Something that baffles me is the problem others have with Americans thinking they're the best. Don't other people from other countries think their country is the best? It's like thinking your kids are the best. They are because they're YOURS. Yes, we may have been told America is the best, but it's the same as telling your kids they're doing great, they're the best, etc. I think this sparks pride (not arrogance) and makes us want to work hard to maintain what we have. Some might call this patriotism. I have friends who are school teachers. They have both told me they try to teach kids world history, etc., but the competition from TikTok, etc., makes it very hard. First world problem for sure. Thank you so much for this video. I enjoyed it.
It is not that American's are ignorant, but it is a known fact that many of the school courses which were taught in schools just 60 years ago are no longer taught to students. When you have not been taught a subject you will not have the knowledge that goes with it.
I think the video did a good job explaining that the ignorance is systemic, which is partly what you are saying, too. There is virtually no civics or government classes, no critical thinking training, more shift towards classes that support making Americans corporate workers. A profit driven media owned by entertainment companies and lack of media literacy makes it all much worse. The "news" no longer tries to educate us. It drives us towards making money for the wealthiest people.
Actually, not knowing or not having been taught something is the very definition of ignorant. I'm American and there's lots of ignorance. Especially with people under 40 and it IS because of what you said, sadly. Our system is failing.
I was told over and over again that Parisians were unfriendly and looked down on everyone. I got lost one day in Paris and asked a woman for help. She was clearly in a hurry, had just gotten off work and was wearing very high heels. That tired woman walked over two and a half blocks to take me to a metro station to make sure I could find it. People are individuals and stereotypes are stupid. Thank you for learning for yourself.
I visited Paris and Munich about 25 years ago and the only interactions with their people that I distinctly remember are a rude French waiter and a rude German train official. I've forgotten all of the good interactions that I must've had and remember only the ones that reinforce stereotypes. I imagine that it's like that with non-Americans. They remember the few bad interactions that they've had with Americans and forget all of the good ones.
I live in Texas and my wife was a travel agent for 28 years. I have been to more countries than our own states. We had always wanted to visit New Zealand and Australia but good old Covid stopped our plans for our 50th Anniversary. We met Ausies and Kiwis on an earlier motorbus trip around Italy. Love the videos, keep up the great work!
What I find interesting is that there are quite a few YT channels nowadays that are studying the United States due to the fact they see others do it and want to get in on the action. Most interesting is the fact those same channels are not looking into Europe, Asia, Africa, or even Australia, New Zealand, or the Pacific Islands. Just the United States. Hmmm...

I'm not loud and I love my country, but I respect other people who love their country too. People should be proud of their country and support it in my opinion. I love Canada and I live in southeast Alaska so we go to Canada a lot.
The main reason to keep the air conditioner (AC) running when not at home, especially when living in the desert where temps can reach 120 degrees F, is the AC will use less energy to maintain the selected temperature. Where as, if you turn the AC while you are gone all day, the house will heat up. Then when you get home and turn the AC on, the AC will run for hours non-stop until the selected temperature is attained. When I worked and was gone 11-14 hours a day, I would turn the temperature up a few degrees (as the so-called "energy conservation people said to do"). When I came home and lowered the temperature, the AC would run non-stop for hours to cool the house down to the selected temperature. As another person explained to me, everything in the interior of the house will have a temperature related to the temperature selected on the AC. Turning the AC off or raising the temperature while you are away from your home allows everything inside the home to also heat up. So when you come home and turn the AC on to the lower setting, the AC has to cool EVERYTHING inside the house which causes it to run a lot longer and use far more electricity than if it was left alone.

That makes us, individually, a more hopeful and optimistic nation.

I'm an American, and our public education system is failing our children. I grew up in the 60s and 70s, and we learned World & American History and Civics that is just not being taught in the last couple of decades.😢 Thank goodness for private schools, but they are expensive. Our country's health is also getting worse. A lot of food additives that are being put in the processed food are banned or restricted in Europe for being harmful such as MSG, BHT, certain food dyes, hydrogenated oils, and High Fructose Corn Syrup. We are getting fatter, but as the video pointed out, so are many other countries. Love your reactions! God bless & protect you & your sweet family!❤❤❤
I think they were a bit stunned because they have actually visited a lot of the USA (unlike many of the haters) and know there are many misconceptions.
I appreciate videos like that because they kind of penetrate you to the core and make you want to be better. Though they aren't fully true because of stereotyping, it's good to feel motivated to be better!
exactly. Like many countries do. We are busy living our lives, trying to make money to buy stuff, raising families, having fun. Really what do I care about what someone might think in some country across the ocean. I hope they like us, but if they do not, who cares.
I’m a 21 year old Arkansan; when the video talked about ignorance due to the school systems refusing to teach it really hit home. Many schools in Arkansas in the past couple years have cut their curriculum in order to exclude racial relations. Words like institutionalized racism, color blind racism, etc. aren’t even allowed to be said in the classroom. After my rights over choices I can make about my own body were taken away (abortion made illegal) and the school system failing to teach history correctly I’ve become afraid of where my country is headed in the future.
I’m an American and believe I live in the greatest country on the planet. BUT, I would expect anyone else to feel the same about their own country. You SHOULD be proud of your country.
Be it heating or AC most americans just try to keep the home at a set temp, me I am comfortable at 15 to 26 Celsius, and as to American's being dumb, it would be more accurate to say those from USA are more convinced they are right no matter what. And after having traveled to several other countries, those of us from the USA are more likely to just start a conversation with a total stranger than any other country I have been to. I actually had a South African Republic older gentleman call the police because I offered to change a flat tire for them. And took 3 hours to make the police understand that I was taught to be helpful to anyone who is having a problem. Once I showed I was from Texas, the police chief actual told the others to let me go, it was the truth that Texas is that kind of friendly.
To their point about Hollywood. They're no longer about the art or the money anymore. They're about "the message". IYKYK Just look at what Hollywood has been producing in recent years. They're destroying as many legacy properties as they can with "the message", and their movies and stream series are flopping.
I'm from the US but when I was in Italy I traveled to Switzerland and saw a stark contrast between those two countries that share a border. Peoples values and behaviors were as different as the terrain of the two countries. Then go to Japan on their mass transit and see how quiet it is and in public in general. But even in the US staying with trains, people where I live in San Francisco line up to get on the train but when I lived in New York it was more of a scrimmage (scrum).
I live in Florida and yes my AC is on all the time. When I travel out of town, I turn it up, but I turn it down before I get home. I leave it on for my dogs when I’m at work. You can’t let it get hot or it will mold. And I believe my country is fabulous. We love other countries, we want peace, we help other countries, we give generously, but we don’t take crap. I agree we shouldn’t be the world police. We have weight problems due to our prosperity. Why do so many people want to come here if we’re so awful? I love so many other countries, love to travel, but am thankful to be an American. 🇺🇸❤️🙏
I think some of our pride can seem 'over the top' but I also take pride in our ability to help others. I served and some of my proudest missions were humanitarian. If you have the capability you should share the love wherever you can
Please don’t go along with someone else’s stereotypes. Everyone in the country isn’t a boorish extrovert. Not at all. People get this stuff from movies, I guess.
I'm Canadian and I like Americans. I see and talk to them all of the time...just regular people.

@@annamariadenner2518 Less crowded, as well.
The main reason to keep the air conditioner on is it is harder to cool your house down and uses more electric power than it is to keep a home cooled down while not being home.
Especially where I live in Central Florida. Takes too much time and energy to cool down a house after turning off the AC while at work.
And a lot of us have got pets at home and when the inside of your house will get to 110 degrees by 11:00 in the morning you know you kind of need ac

No one hates Americans more than Americans.
I agree with this 100%. The media does paint a very bad picture of citizens. Even Hollywood does.
just to expand on what your saying, the thing that a lot of people sadly don't realize is that media and news will report on the noteworthy stuff, and as humans we are usually drawn towards the negative stuff, meaning that what is seen is filtered. the regular stuff that happens isn't noteworthy, doesn't make news. some people don't realize this. so what's next to be filtered is the positives and the negatives, but because we are drawn to the negatives, the positives get pushed down to the bottom, unseen. now all of the news people see is just the negative news, and it sours their opinions. its disappointing.

Hello from Texas , we have a lot of wonderful German communities here in Texas

Hi. I live in Texas. I turn down the air conditioning when I leave the house. But I leave it on because it takes more energy to cool it back down when I get home. With summer heat over 100F (38C) it gets very hot inside the house. With various illnesses, it’s critical to have air conditioning in order to breathe.
Same here in Memphis .over 100 degrees you have to keep the AC on to keep up

So we only turn on the air if it goes above 80 or so outside.

the reason we keep AC on is b/c its actually takes more energy to cool a house down from the start.
I leave my AC on 72 (day) & 75 (night) in the summer and my heat on 68 (day) & 65 (night) in the winter and my energy bills are minimal. AC doesn't seem so common in some European countries, but they have to understand that there's a way to use it and save energy at the same time.
That's not true, but it can cause more wear on the HVAC equipment.
Thanks guys for your perspective of our great country. Enjoy your videos, and love watching the kids grow up. Please come back and see us! 🙏🏻
I agree with out the context there seems to be a disconnect with the lesson.

This is being done on purpose. An intelligent person is harder to fool and harder to keep under control.
EVERYBODY TALKS SH*T ABOUT AMERICANS BUT EVERYBODY WANT TO COME TO AMERICA...LOL
Why are you shouting?
@@firstenforemost Because they're a loud american? LOL
Or they are more than willing to take our money...smh😔
And the want the US military as soon as someone starts threatening their country.
Or as soon as a natural disaster happens they want the US to send help.
What a great bunch of folks. That group could party for sure. The banter or should I say competitiveness between those 2 countries was quite fun to be witness to. Love the videos, keep up the great work!
Yay it's the NZ fam 🎉... Love you guys !
Hmmm...
It gets you the most viewers. India also gets some attention for the same reason.
There are lots of YT channels about life in Europe mostly by Americans who moved to Europe.
I live 20 minutes from Fort Worth, glad to hear ya’ll enjoyed the people and the food here.
Hello my favorite RUclips family The kids are growing like weeds and glad to see everybody's healthy Great reaction.
I am an American (San Antonio, Tx) and really appreciate the nice comments. I think most Americans are proud of our country and what it's been through. We also welcome foreign visitors and love to show them what we have to offer. Thanks again.
I'm an American and yes I leave the AC on when I'm not at home and it cost the same amount of energy to get your house down from 90 to a comfortable temperature then to keep it at a comfortable temperature all day and yes I use Fahrenheit
I love history and know it. And my children do too. I'm not fat or over weight. We don't watch a lot of TV in my family and mainly read books.
So happy to see your family again. Especially the open real, never fake smiles the mother and daughter both give so freely. As far as the video, there are loud, rude, ignorant, and arrogant folks in every culture. Learn to ignore the negative and focus on the positive. The Kiwis are among the openest, generous folks I ever met. In 1968 had the pleasure of going out on combat patrols with Kiwi troops, great bunch.
I guess we could just stop sending money, food, military equipment and support etc, etc. to the countries that like to whine about Americans. Proud Texas born and raised American Patriot. Y'all come back and visit anytime.
I love that your family has these worldly ducussions amongst your children to educate them on different perspectives of how the world is viewed and works. They are going to become great adults and you both are doing a wonderful job at parenting. They are fortunate to have you both as mom and pop.
New Zealand has something to be proud of, the New Zealand family!😊❤️
I have seen photos of New Zealand. If I wasn’t afraid of airplanes, I’d love to visit.
@@snowflakehunter I definitely understand that. I’m afraid of heights as well as flying. I have watched wayyy too many plane videos. I’ve been afraid since I was a kid. When I was a kid I’d cry when we dropped family off at the airport. I didn’t want them to board. My son took a trip with my mom one time and I had her call me every stop they had on the way. I’m still like that. Lol.
Was just about to go nap when I saw the notification that you uploaded 😂
My friends parents let someone stay in their home. When they left, they turned off the a/c. When they came back, the mold was so bad it cost a lot of money for remediation. In Florida, you leave the a/c on in the summer.
Funny how other countries think of us Americans as arrogant, but who's the first country they call when they need help.......America! We Americans are just very proud to be Americans, we love our country and our rights and freedom. If that's arrogance to the rest of the world then so be it, I guess we're arrogant.
What freedom, explain what American freedom really is.
@@Leslie-cg7ph freedom to own firearms, to move state to state, freedom to choose our leaders, freedom of speech, freedom to be who I want to be, freedom of religion. Shall I go on?
@@clemmc37 You call that freedom, every country has freedom, the average American is a slave to his or her employer and the government only wants you to work hard and pay taxes.
@@Leslie-cg7phOther countries have "freedom" that can be taken away completely at any time. You have no idea of the entirety of that.
@@thorstrebla980 All sir suck up to your American propaganda, you are failing as a country and going backwards ok.
We don't turn the AC when we leave the house but we set it at 78-80 degrees. We do this in South Florida because if you turn the AC off it takes too long to cool and it wastes a lot of energy.
I live in Fl too, we leave it on to take the humidity out of the air, if not, your house gets damp, can get moldy, lived here a long to know. To think they lived without a/c in the past
I'm an American, veteran and global human. My career has taken me to 91 countries. The thing that separates the USA is that our bill of rights, the things our founding fathers agreed were God given and not to be infringed. Protected by the Constitution as a block to government overreach to ensure our freedom, over safety with a priority on individual liberty. That makes us, individually, a more hopeful and optimistic nation.
As an American I understand that we are blessed and live in a wonderful place. Knowing that many people throughout the world don’t have as much as we do makes me grateful for where I am, not arrogant, just happy and grateful for my country.
Hello from Iowa! Great to see the whole family again. The kids are getting big! I’m not sure the US is the best country in the world in all aspects. Our healthcare system sure needs some work. As a US Navy veteran I’ve seen a bit of the globe and I’d prefer to live here over any other place I’ve visited.
I'm an American and 64 years old. Seen a lot of things happen in the world.
Americans are proud of their country. Everyone else forgets, we went from the new kid on the block to the last remaining superpower. In only 250 years. There is no way we should have been ahead of anyone else at this stage. Yet here we are.
I live in a small town in WV. I've had people pay for my order at McDonald's a couple of times
I grew up near Fairley WV. ( State Fair is in Fairley )
I live in a city and have had this happen to me as well, and I've done it for the person behind me as well paying it forward. American's are very outgoing, which is a shock to most of the world, especially Europe, which has a deeply ingrained history of being far more reserved. Being loud is part of that outgoing nature. We'll chat with complete strangers as if we've known them our whole lives.
It is great that they watching after coming to America. I loved hearing what they thought. I agree with them. Their perspective is different than someone from the UK. It is great that they can travel.
Kids growing up so fast, Atlanta is becoming a beautiful young woman
American here, I’ve watched your videos since kiwi kicker! Glad you guys had a good time here in America, hope you get to come back soon to explore more! Your family is wonderful!!
What it comes down too, is you just can't constantly worry about what the rest of the world thinks. All you can do is live your best life and try to be happy.
It really depends where you are in the country you get different vibes in different places. I moved to North Carolina from Pennsylvania and people are so polite here almost everyone you meet greets you with a smile where as in Pennsylvania you get dirty looks and cold shoulders in most parts of the state. Definitely recommend you visit North Carolina and even Tennessee, such beautiful places.
As an American, i love every good person on this planet, idc where they are from or what they look like or even what god they pray to because regardless, a good person is a good person.
Amen Moviefan13 Amen.
I'm an American. I'm proud to be American and I believe it's the best country in the world, at least for me. I truly hope people in other countries feel exactly the same way about where they live. I think you put it perfectly when you said it isn't really arrogant unless you don't think other people shouldn't be proud of their country.
I ignore jealous haters 🙅
Nobody can hate from outside of the club
Love your reactions 😊 peace from Central Texas Hook'em Horns 🤘
We leave the AC on because we like to come home to a house that's nice and cool especially when it's over 100°F outside(Oklahoma summers tend to get pretty hot, so the AC is a must).
What a great looking family. Thanks so much for your videos. Very fair. From the heartland, Iowa. Smack in the middle of the USA.
I have lived in Germany during my Hubby's Service years and was born and raised in America! We are not Ignorant nor are we Entitled! I was treated well in Germany while other American Women were not! Of Course I have A German Background and look like German women! As far As America most the time I have run across a lot of friendly people! I have had Indian, and Black friends, we are not Racist people like they say! When you can go to A Garage sale and the people want to get together for a night out with you, you know we are friendly! Yes we can be loud! We are not afraid to Holler c down the street or for our Sports teams! We are not rich , we are fat because what they put in a lot of our foods that other Countries do not allow, but our food taste good!
What is so funny is I always thought other countries thought their country was the best.
I'm a Texan from Ft. Worth who just came home from Auckand 48 hours ago and just getting over jet lag and this is the first video of yours that I'm watching since being home. Lol. Spent two weeks in New Zealand and loved the weather as Australia was extremely hot. Absolutely loved all the different things to do there and scenery. The only downfall was how expensive everything was. Glad you loved our state as much as I loved your country!!
American invented the airplane, television, telephone, cell phone, electric, light bulb, computer, laptop, internet, emails, submarine, air conditioner, refrigerator, moon landing, 3D printing, covid vaccine, rock and roll, jazz, r&b, country, motown, soul, hip hop, Punk rock, rap just to name a few of our achievements. Top universities in the world. 1061 Olympic gold medals. 413 Nobel prizes far more than any country in the entire world nobody comes close.
WERE top universities. Now they seriously push multiple genders and sexual mutilation,as just another life choice.
Exactly... You can hate us but have the common courtesy to thank us. For all the things listed above.
They use our internet… and NEVER thank us for it ! ! Ditto,Ditto everything else ! !…no one EVER mentions that the U.S. could conquer the world ! ! Ya, Russia,China have “ nukes ,it’s very likely less than half will work ! ! Why ?….they ( being ungodly countries) cheated in their manufacturing ( using copper instead of gold contacts, by now corroded!).. just look what a BIG FLOP Russia has been in Ukraine ! ! They’d have a rough time defeating Spain ! !… & to think we worried about them (1950’s) is a JOKE now ! !
My kid, in school now, certainly learns history in school
You guys looked so bored by that video. No banter, no laughing, just cold hard stares. 😊 I'm guessing it's because you guys love us Americans. 😁
No, I think they are really listening and figure out if they do or don't agree with the guy. I didn't see a bit of boredom.
I think they were a bit stunned because they have actually visited a lot of the USA (unlike many of the haters) and know there are many misconceptions.
Hey Fam , loved the video. You guys are great , and would make great friends and neighbors. Greetings from Charleston , South Carolina! God Bless.
People who say Americans are ignorant are just showing how ignorant they are
I appreciate videos like that because they kind of penetrate you to the core and make you want to be better. Though they aren't fully true because of stereotyping, it's good to feel motivated to be better!
Guess what? Americans don't care what the rest of the world thinks about us.
exactly. Like many countries do. We are busy living our lives, trying to make money to buy stuff, raising families, having fun. Really what do I care about what someone might think in some country across the ocean. I hope they like us, but if they do not, who cares.
Maybe the two of you should ask Adolf Hitler?@@eolsunder

You just won the internet!
Its alright everyone hates us Brits too,I would,nt worry about it.
As a Canadian living next to these people for 60 years, I'd have to agree with most of this.
Lmao.
As a fellow Arkansas’er , tell me why teaching reading, writing and arithmetic are not mentioned but you focus on frivolous things
@@georgedykes5533 because I’m confident I was taught correctly in those subjects and they continue to be a priority in school curriculum?
@@Kingepticon I find your comment hilarious as well :)

I’m an American and believe I live in the greatest country on the planet. BUT, I would expect anyone else to feel the same about their own country. You SHOULD be proud of your country.
Hi from Nashville Tennessee
Great story!
To their point about Hollywood. They're no longer about the art or the money anymore. They're about "the message". IYKYK
Just look at what Hollywood has been producing in recent years. They're destroying as many legacy properties as they can with "the message", and their movies and stream series are flopping.
I don't remember the last Hollywood movie I watched. They are all disgusting now and I have -0- interest in paying money to see any of them.
Who cares what anyone else thinks?
If you have the capability you should share the love wherever you can
Americans are big, bold and loud. Some of us are ignorant, etc but we also step up when other nations are in crisis.
Please don’t go along with someone else’s stereotypes. Everyone in the country isn’t a boorish extrovert. Not at all. People get this stuff from movies, I guess.
