I just wanted to say that everyone needs to watch until the end to see Brooke the Mermaid lounging on a frozen lake. Girl, that was mesmerizing.

I’m so happy you got them, its such a match made in heaven. My personal faves are Harmonique and Shellnelle can’t wait for them to hit stores and I totally agree I personally love that they are just mermaids cause not every mermaid wants to be a human, I love that they’re just a group of merfriends who’s cool on just having fins and being glam 💜🧜🏽♀️
I don't like that most of them have such light eyes - it kind of makes them look like that one Miley Cyrus picture - but I'm definitely going to get the brown eyed one. Very strong design overall and I'm sure the ones that will come later will be even more beautiful and interesting!

Ooo I like them a lot more than I thought I was going to from the promos. Their faces look much prettier than in the leaks I saw. I do wish they had some kind of tail joint so they could look like they were swimming. Hopefully in the future!

I'm glad MGA is finally sending you dolls, you've always been buying all their dolls.
Although your audio in the intro and all the parts where you are far from the camera is way too quiet, I had to crank up my sound almost all the way to hear what you were saying and I don't have hearing issues. So I can imagine people that do probably don't hear a thing.
I’m SO sorry- I was having a lot of trouble with the sound being way too loud and bass-boosting so I overcompensated aggressively in the intro and a few other parts 🤦♀️ I JUST bought this phone just for the camera so I’m quite peeved about these issues
My phone wasn't able to go loud enough, but I turned on subtitles so I could see what she was saying.
But @xcanadensis, don't worry, I'm sure you'll be able to figure out the sound for next time 💖

This has got to be one of the most thorough reviews I’ve seen. I don’t mean like describing every tiny detail on the dolls, but by showing both the unboxing and play experience. This was great!
a part of me is hoping and praying for a deluxe version that has a removable tail. I want to make a custom with them so bad! I love the shape of the face, body and hands and don't want to lose that to have a body with legs!
Also those little white string bits coming out of their tails, did you pull them out and if you did, did anything change?

Omg no one deserve this more then you. No one really even bought mermaid high but you. You support mermaid doll so much more then any doll RUclips I ever know. I am soooo happy for you. And omg you got my favorite for the set. These two were my absolute favorite. Best review ever, you put in so much detail. At first I didn’t like these at all cuz I wanted removable tails. Then you mention all the joint and detail and I was blown away. No one mention any of those. I can see why they are so expensive from all the detail you shown. You even went to an ice pond for the doll 😭 Seeing you play with them in water, I might get them for nieces now. They really are water doll. Thank you for such an awesome in depth review .
This was VERY surprising but I think you look gorgeous !! Loved the video and your confidence !! Personally mermaid dolls aren't my cup of tea but I do find the pink one very beautiful and I love her corset like thing. I think I might actually get her. I usually don’t collect mermaid dolls because I just think the tail is awkward to display or (mostly on barbies.) it can just end up looking like a very big chunk of unneeded plastic but I think It’s safe to say I will be collecting the entier mermaze mermaidz line because they look absolutely stunning and their tails come off looking really really well executed! I have not seen a mermaid doll this good since monster high!

Im so excited for this line. I told myself i would only collect Rainbow High core dolls just because being an adult and being on budget is hard to get into multiple doll lines. Mermaze though has my attention, they are so beautiful. I could care less about the tail and thiers always room for improvement on the tails. In short ill definately be picking them up but i might have to be selective

What does the tail feel like in hand? Like is it heavy or hollow?
Also what stand is Rivera on? I was thinking maybe action figure stands would work to add a little more depth to their display but I love the way Rivera looks on the stand!

I ADORE the faces on these dolls omg 😭😭 I'm not a huge fan of mermaid dolls tho, so I think I'll pass on this line. I wish doll releases would slow down for a little while so I could catch my breath! 🤣

Riviera is probably my favorite because I love her edgier style. She reminds me of Mari from Mermaid High with that hair color, and I wouldn't be surprised if MGA is doing it intentionally to throw shade at them. And they are surprisingly aesthetically pleasing. I just feel that $32 is a bit much for a mermaid doll without tail articulation or a stand. Even the Monster High Great Scarrier Reef line had nicer tail articulation and a decent design. These tails just have a really nice design with not enough articulation. And considering MGA dolls specifically, I personally feel that Rainbow High and LOL OMG give you more for your money. The color change tails are a bit gimmicky in my opinion. But yeah, those are my thoughts.
Is it just me, or wouldn't it make an epic custom if we replaced Riviera's hair, with a style that matches brookes', and they'd be so similar. They have the same colour eyes! Oooo someone needs to make Brooke a custom from Riviera.
Im currently washing my riveria's hair- I'm so glad I got her. All I could think of is the ugly dolls talking about there being a kid for everydoll- she was lonley man- she was one of the 5 mermaze dolls left on the shelf (plus on clerance) I had watched a live stream previously with her for like 15 but I didn't have money. And I got shellnell randomly and after loving shenelles quality I had to pick her up-

Wow, Harmonique really stands out to me, maybe it's the tail. A sitting option would have been really beneficial. They should have expected people to submerge these in water so it's weird that you're not supposed to get the hair wet. The purse doesn't seem necessary, but it's always nice to get more accessories.

I hope someone on RUclips gets Jordie I’m glad to see the last one that was shown on Instagram be on here so we can get a closer look at the doll 👍👍👍🎉 these are a pass for me for now (like only if I see a sale or clearance) just me personally not going to spend $32 on a doll without a removable or articulated tail - I wasn’t crazy about the Barbie Color Reveal mermaids either cause they couldn’t sit I’m glad these can stand on their own and of course they’re gorgeous dolls I just honestly like more with Mermaid high and I’ve been able to get series 1 for $20 or less and I’m actually excited for the spring break ones. I saw a friend already found 1 at Walmart for $20.88 🤞🧜♀️

Harmonique is gorgeous! But I’m a bit disappointed she doesn’t have the l it toe micro braids going through her hair like in the stock photos. I’m sure it would be harder to mass produce them that way so I get it. But that was one of the things I loved about the doll. But it’s minor. So I am obvi stop buying all of them! And the rocker one I actual my like better in real life and not in the stick photo. In the stock photo her hair looked way shorter. So I was in the fence. But now that I see her hair is so long I’m all in!!! Lol. My poor bank account.

I love them but I'm just wondering how much it will be. They remind me of liv girl dolls minus the wigs and they are mermaids but I love the real looking face mold. I think it'd be cool if they had a detachable tail to make them have legs but other than that they look cool.

I like these dolls but my only issue is there very vacant stare. Rainbow high have more personality and life in them.

I'm honestly bummed about the painted on bras- one of my favorite things about MGA dolls is that they usually don't mold on or paint on bras. It takes away from the beauty of the sculpt for me. I'm also not a fan of the molded on bracelets and rings- like just don't give them bracelets or rings then? Or give them bracelets that require pulling the hands off to remove.
I think these dolls are so pretty and do have a lot of potential, and these are the two I'm interested in from this first series. They have a lot of room for improvement, but I hope they do well so that we can see them get better.

I liked Project Mc2 Dolls with the inset eyes, and these heads are very similar. I have seen comments that the eyes are uncanny, but they look better in person, and they kind of suit a mermaid, who is a mythical creature. I am not sure I will buy one of these dolls, however, because I don’t love mermaids enough to loose the versatility of sitting and legs. I’ll be curious when they come out if people can do head swaps with Barbie and Project Mc2 bodies.

You look so beautiful...I like the concept and the hair but I wish they had given us removable tails and feet for options. I prefer the mermaid high ones or you know Disney store Ariel. I feel like the color change gimmick won’t be used as much and a kid wouldn’t swim with all the top accessories in the bath...just curious who the line is geared to
the poofy sleeves, harness, choker, & corset are all references to different outfits from Ariana Grande’s Sweetener World Tour! Then her hair could be inspired by Ariana as well as she’s worn that king of bubble ponytail multiple times over the years! Then her make up is very similar to Ariana’s more recent eye make up looks & her eye make up in the Rain on Me music video with Lady Gaga. But that’s about it for Ariana references I think
